A/N: This is based on the memory discussed between Stef and Lena in The Night Before Christmas about when they first moved in together. It's not necessary for understanding but could possibly give added context.

"Oh, hello," Stef purred as Lena came up behind her and wrapped her arms around her bare waist, the towel in her hand growing still. She let out a pleased little hum when Lena kissed her shoulder. Her wet skin was cool against Lena's lips. "Someone's feeling better."

"I was feeling better on Tuesday." Catching her girlfriend's gaze in the mirror, she lifted an indignant eyebrow before being enticed back by the scent of Stef's shampoo. She buried her nose in her damp blonde hair, breathing in the familiar fragrance while her hands slid down to Stef's hips.

"I just wanted to make sure everyone was over it."

Three days. That had been Stef's request after Lena had recovered from the stomach flu. They had moved in together almost two weeks ago but instead of getting to commemorate the occasion by christening their new bed, they'd spent their first night nursing her girlfriend's son through an onset of the stomach flu—including a full bedding change when he threw up all over it. By the time they'd gotten Brandon through it and then Stef, Lena was so desperate that her own bout with it had almost come as a respite. Little did she know it had been nothing to compare to her frustration when she made her move after recovering, only to be told to wait. Three. More. Days.

Now, though, her three days were up. Brandon was at his dad's for the weekend. She'd just finished putting clean sheets on their two-week-old bed. And she had Stef, freshly showered and stark naked, all to herself.

"Are you satisfied now?" Lena asked, nuzzling the crook of her neck.

"Mhmm." Stef tilted her head to the side in invitation, eyes closed. Lena dusted delicate kisses up the length of her neck. "Thank you for indulging me."

"I expect to be rewarded for my patience." Her voice was gravelly and deep in her chest, her lips against her girlfriend's ear.

"Mmm, just you wait, my love. I promise, I won't be the only one satisfied," Stef said with a hint of goading laughter in her voice.

Even as her stomach tightened at the suggestion, Lena wasn't having any of it. "Woman, I am done waiting."

Pushing her hips, she urged Stef to turn and pulled her in against her. Stef's towel fell to the floor as their lips met in a needy, hungry kiss. Her shirt was damp against Stef's skin but she didn't care; she just pulled her in closer and kissed her deeper. She tugged her towards the door, walking backwards, their kiss unbroken. Her shoulder bumped into the doorway and Stef took advantage, pressing Lena back against the doorframe at the same time as she slipped her tongue into her mouth. A shudder jolted through Lena's body and she clung harder as her hands dragged up to Stef's ribs. The urgency and heat in Stef's kiss matched what had been burning through Lena for days and when Stef pulled her away from the door frame toward their room, she felt unsteady and lightheaded. They stumbled down the hallway of their new apartment, tripping over toys while Stef stripped Lena as they went, her clothes scattered in a trail behind them.

Outside their room, Lena walked Stef back against the wall, leaning her body into her. They were a tangle of grasping hands and bare skin and desperate lips and still, Lena couldn't get enough. She trailed her fingers down Stef's body but as she pressed them between her thighs, Stef caught her wrist.

"I thought you were done waiting." Pulling back, Stef looked at her with a cocky half-smile, eyebrows raised. It was a look Lena knew all too well and it sent a pulsing ache through her body.

Her breathing was shallow and she swallowed to try to clear her throat of her racing heart. "I am," she finally murmured, eyelids heavy and lips reaching.

"Good." Stef leaned forward again but instead of kissing her, in one swift motion, she picked Lena up as she stepped away from the wall. "Because we have a bed to break in." Her voice was low and throaty but she accompanied it with a wink, making Lena laugh and shiver at the same time. Wrapping her legs around Stef's waist and her arms around her neck, Lena kissed that cocky mouth while Stef carried her all the way to their new bed where she was sure she had never before been so delighted being pressed into a mattress.
