LENI'S MESSAGE

Poke poke poke

"Is this thing on?"

Poke

"Oooh! There's a green light. Yay!"

A blonde girl wiggled in her seat, putting her hands in her lap.

"Alright, sooo... Hi~ It's nice to see you all! Normally, I'm in one of Abby's crazy stories and I don't get to say anything at all, but this is actually nice."

Her grin lit up as she pushed her hands toward the screen.

"I decided to paint my nails onyx black. Like, Lori said it'd clash with my seafoam dress, but I think it works. What do you think?"

There was some hurried whispering off-screen, which made the girl blink, and then a light blush dusted her cheeks.

"Oh, uh, sorry. I, um, I actually have some bad news to tell you all."

She turned her eyes to the side as she moved in her seat.

"AberrantScript... oh! But we can just call him Abby, he totes wouldn't mind! Anyway, he's not doing so well. But, don't worry too much about him! I'm totes gonna take care of him for you."

Her grin was reassuring, if smaller than before. The young girl sighed.

"I wish I could have talked with you all in a better circumference. Wait..." She tapped a finger to her chin. "Circumspection?"

She shrugged her shoulders and gave a wide grin.

"It's a circum-something. Anyway! He's actually been sick for a long time. He used to take medicine because he gets shaky and his eyes get all shifty and his body all sweaty for no reason at all! It's totes weird, but he can't help it. His mind gets owies and it makes him feel bad, so he hides it often. But, recently he had to try medicine again, and it hasn't been going so well. Like, not well at all..."

The girl sighed, brushing her hand through her golden bangs.

"Abby has been trying really hard to keep writing, but he needs a break from it. He feels pressured to always give his best and to outdo his last story, and the stress isn't helping his owies at all. It's hard for him to focus, and he forgets things, and his hands don't like to play nice when he's using them. Just imagine me using a needle with a shaky hand and I keep missing where I want the stitching to go! It'd totes frustrate me to no end."

Leni's eyes shifted away as she frowned for a moment.

"He's also not going to reply to most messages he gets. It's not because he doesn't value them. He loves his readers a lot. Please don't think he doesn't. But..."

Her hands went back to her knees, her fingers tapping her bare skin.

"It's a long story. And I don't think he wants me to say all of it. But, Abby's health has been declining since a year ago. He tried to be strong and push through it. Hehe, he reminds me a lot of Lynn sometimes. They both don't know when to give up."

She gave a tiny smile.

"But he's also been hurt a lot by friends. And he's been traumatized by a few stories he's found in here. And he's honestly just... not sure what to say or do anymore. He has lots of ideas for stories! And some of them are, um, totes hot."

The girl tugged at the neckline to her dress, her cheeks burning bright pink.

"S-sorry, but um... anyway, Abby just needs this break. He really does. His mind is kinda like a jumbled mess right now. (Kiiinda like Luan's when she's telling us a joke I don't understand, but don't tell her I said that, please and thank you.) And he thinks having a break from most intersections would help, too."

She tapped her chin.

"Interactions? Ha! I totes got it right that time!"

She gave another small grin.

"So, like, don't worry too much about him. He promises to not delete any of his stuff. And he honestly hopes to come back someday. But, in the meantime, I'm going to take really good care of him! And Flagg will, too! He's in very good hands, trust me~"
