Hai Minna! (Alright everyone!)

Since I'm back after a long time, and still haven't uploaded a fanfictions, I figured it'd be a nice time to do now. So, here we go!

Summary: Hilary witnesses Ray's concern for Kai having a sick day and realizes something.

Disclaimer: I don't own Beyblade or any of the characters... although I'd have loved to, but I DON'T!

Cough! Cough! Cough! The whole Granger dojo echoed the sound of Kai's coughing.

For the past three days it has been just like this. Kai has been down with major case of Bronchitis.

"He's that sick huh?" Hilary commented when she entered the dojo and saw Kai literally laying down clutching the futon. It was very rare for Kai to catch a cold. In fact, this was the first time Kai was sick since joining Bladebreakers. And that's three years. So for the Bladebreakers to witness Kai this miserable, was quite something.

"Yeah." Max joined her. "He's constantly feverish. The temperature barely comes down from 104." He filled her in.

"I wonder how long he's going to be like this." Kenny said aloud. "It's kinda weird to see Kai sick." He echoed everyone's mind.

Cough! Cough! Cough!

Once again coughing racked Kai's frail figure. Ray rubbed a soothing hand on his back in order to relieve him at least a little bit.

That hit Hilary hard.

It was then that she realized how bad a friend she was. All of them. Kai was sick. And Ray was the only one looking after him. The rest of them were just sitting around and chatting about doing nothing. They should at least train for Kai's sake. Guilt engulfed her.

But there was also another feeling. It was longing. The way Ray rubbed Kai's back made her realize how close friends they had become. Kai never let anyone touch him. For him to let Ray touch him was quite something.

Hilary felt a little jealous. Jealous for she didn't have a friend like that. A friend who'd help you in your hurdles. Who'd never leave you no matter what. Happy or sad time, who'd be there for you forever.

Who'd rub your back when you're sick.

At that time Hilary realized, friendship isn't hanging out with each other.

Friendship is looking out for each other, no matter how far you are from your friend.

No matter how long or how far apart you are, friendship remains unscathed, if it's still alive in your heart.

A/N: I actually came up with this idea nearly a year ago. I just didn't know how to work it out. Finally did it. Phew! The idea originally struck me when I was in Physics class and one of the guys sitting behind me was coughing bad. I heard some ruffling sound. I figured probably his friend is rubbing his back to soothe him. That's when I came up with this.Okay, like seriously, why do all the coolest and awesomest ideas strike me when I'm in class and practically unable to take out my phone and write it down?Anyways, Please Read Review!
