"Holy Shit! Is that Oliver Queen, or am I just seeing things?" Katherine whispered, amazed, looking at the person standing across the room.

"What?" Klaus said, confused at the sudden change of conversation. He looked to see where the doppelganger was seeing and saw one of his hybrids he picked up in Florida. "Who? Brady?"

Katherine then realized Stephen Amell played a guest role in TVD before he played the lead role in the Arrow. "Oh! I thought it was someone."

"Yes! Oliver Queen, I believe," Elijah said. "May I ask who exactly he is to earn such a fascination?"

"A vigilante-slash-superhero in a TV show," Katherine said sincerely, and Klaus rolled his eyes.

"Can we discuss matters of little more importance," The Hybrid spoke in an impatient tone.

"Uh, yeah. So..." Katherine thought back to where she stopped, "...your mother took a drop of my blood, and will mix it in the champagne. So once you all drink it when you are about to raise the toast, you will all be bound as one."

"So, if one of us goes down, we all go along," Klaus completed, looking at his brother, sharing a look.

"Exactly. Esther is probably purifying my blood for it to be 'effective' as we speak." And the doppelganger couldn't help but roll her eyes at purifying, and quoting the word, effective.

"So, we don't drink the champagne," Elijah said and earned a scoff from Katherine.

"And put a red light over your heads?" Katherine spoke in a sarcastic tone.

"Then what do you propose?" Elijah asked, ready to take any input at this point. Klaus decided to hear out, as well.

"You have two options," Katherine said, seeing both Klaus and Elijah are really asking advice from her. "One, you drink it and make her believe everything is going according to her plan. And tomorrow, just around the full moon, she will start the ritual, and ask the spirits for an extra boost. You find Sage before then and try to lure Finn to your side, and stop him from sacrificing himself, or break the link Esther has with the dead witches by turning one of the living witches into a vampire."

"And the second option?"

"You drink the champagne and turn your mother before she can link you all."

"Excuse me?" Elijah said thoroughly baffled at her idea.

They were all speaking in low whispers until then, standing far away from everyone present at the ball. But the "Excuse me" from Elijah resulted in turning a few heads in their direction.

Klaus stepped a little close and looked in Katherine's eyes, trying to figure if the doppelganger was joking. "You really want us to turn our mother... the Original Witch into a vampire."

"I would've done on my own the second I heard the plan," Katherine shrugged her shoulders slightly. When the Mikaelson brothers looked at her as if she had grown another head, Katherine sighed. "Look, you asked me for a bit of advice, and I gave you one. I never said it was orthodox or ethical. Rather your back-from-the-dead mother dies than all the vampires in the world."

The Petrova doppelganger glanced at the motley group present at the ball, and then looked at the time in her phone. "Esther will be down at any minute now. So think fast, boys. Time is of the essence," With that, Katherine left the brothers and mingled back with the ex-scooby gang.

"So, what did you and mama original talk about?" Damon inquired, sampling his bourbon.

"Nothing..." Katherine said, taking the drink Stefan gave, "We just made a few negotiations like proper psychopaths."

"Wonderful," Damon muttered, downing his scotch.

"By the way," Katherine murmured as she took something that was hidden in her sleeves. "Keep this in your pocket, will you?" she told Stefan, holding the object in her hands, but not looking at him directly. "And be careful with it."

"What is it?" Stefan asked as he put it in his pockets subtlety before he got a good look at it.

"A part of the negotiation gift from Esther," Katherine said, as her eyes peered at the people around the room to double-check no one's listening in. "My blood for hers."

"She took your blood?" Caroline asked, confused. "Why?"

"Doppelganger."

"If I hear that word one more time, I am gonna have to learn how to spell it," Damon said sarcastically. As soon as the words left his mouth, Esther took it as a cue to walk down the staircase, looking prim and proper with a glass of red-tinged champagne in her hand as if she didn't finish the first step in achieving a genocide.

"Good Evening, Ladies and Gentleman," Esther addressed the guests. "Waiters are coming around with champagne. I invite you all to join me in raising a glass. It provides me with no greater joy than to see my family back together as one. I'd like to thank you all for being part of this spectacular evening," she made an eye-contact with Katherine before saying, "Cheers!"

As everyone followed suit, one after another, Katherine looked around for the Originals. Finn and Rebekah looked oblivious to everything, Klaus and Elijah shared a grim look. Kol, however, looked at his elder brothers and then Katherine before drinking the sparkling wine alongside his siblings. Katherine just didn't know which plan the brothers were following.

She shrugged with a sigh and muttered, "a la folie" and drank it.

"What's that?" Caroline asked, hearing her sire.

"To Insanity, cupcake," Katherine replies her. She then looked to the Salvatores and said, "Can we go home? I think I had enough socializing for today."

Katherine skipped down the stairs of the Salvatore boarding house the next morning. She could hear the shower running in Stefan's room, while Damon's was absolutely silent, indicating he was still sleeping. Katherine went towards the kitchen, made a coffee for herself, added a few drops of blood from the fridge. By the point she had some caffeine in her body, Stefan has come down the stairs, his hair still wet.

"Are you going somewhere?" Stefan asked with a frown, seeing the doppelganger's attire. It was not the usual shorts she wears at home, but tight jeans and a crop top.

"I have a date with Kol," Katherine informed as she put the empty cup in the sink. "Then I have to pick Caroline and go shopping, or spa," she rolled her eyes, indecisively. "Honestly, I don't know what. She asked me to pick her up, and I am doing that."

Stefan snorted. "You sure want to go shopping? For all, we know, it might be our last day." As soon as they dropped Caroline at her house... Katherine explained to the brothers about her role as a double agent at the party. She told them about Esther's plan for mass slaughter, and the brilliant idea she offered Klaus and Elijah.

"We will be alright," Katherine waved her hands indifferently. "I gave them a solution. So, the Originals will take care of it. If they don't, I am gonna swoop in the last minute and save the day." She took the vervain vial from one of the kitchen cabinets and downed the drink, wincing at the burn.

"Our knight in the shining armor," Stefan said, teasingly, as he made some coffee for himself.

"Hey. I am the frickin' Queen," Katherine said, slightly offended.

"My apologies, your majesty," Stefan said, bowing.

"A Queen can also be merciful for her subjects if she so wishes," The brunette shrugged him off haughtily. She then glanced at her phone. "Shit! I am running late. Bye, Stef. Don't wait up and tear each other throats," she spoke as she took her car keys and went out, not before hearing Stefan's call out for her just before she left, "Have a good day."

Kol Mikaelson was waiting at the Wickery bridge to meet Tatia 2.0. He was eager to find out what the doppelganger knew about Silas. And the way she spoke of Silas couldn't help but raise a few questions in Kol's mind. It was as if Katherine knew about his concern and his will to never let Silas rise from his tomb. But that was the question.

How did Katherine Pierce know of his distress for the immortal Silas? If Katherine has knowledge of his apprehension that no one knows about...just what all information does she possess about his family and him. Just as he thought he was being stood up, a Porsche pulled up in front of him.

"Sorry, I am late," Katherine said, stepping out from the driver's seat, "Traffic's a bitch."

"It's seven in the morning in a small, good-for-nothing town," Kol drawled.

"Welcome to the 21st century," Katherine said, and the Original rolled his eyes at the lie.

"You left early the other day," Kol commented as he leaned on the balustrade of the bridge as he watched Katherine walk over and stand beside him, staring at the river flowing underneath them.

"I am not a social person, and pretending to be Elena can get old after a while," The Petrova doppelganger explained. "Honestly, I was ready to kill the next person that was gonna stop me and inquire about my impulsive decision to go to another place as an exchange student just before my senior year."

"So, it has nothing to do about what you are planning along with my brothers and mother?" Kol said, facing her from his position.

"They haven't told you?" Katherine analyzed with a tiny frown, tilting her head.

"Tell me what?" He queried, turning to her completely.

Katherine examined him for a while before she said, "I will tell you later. First, let us talked about our buddy Silas." She didn't wait for him to answer, continuing. "Just what exactly do you know about Silas?"

"Why?" Kol asked, cautiously.

"Because Silas is a myth for the supernaturals. Story changes along with the people. I want to know which version of the story you have, so I can correct you," said Katherine.

"A few hundred years back, I came across a group that worshipped Silas. He is the first immortal. His followers told me that he would rise again, and when he did, he would trigger the end of all times. You know, being an immortal, you can see why I'm opposed to times ending. So I murdered all of them," Kol said, turning around to put his hands on the rail of the bridge. "Not only that, but I have also met a few witches. Africa in the fourteenth century, Haiti in the seventeenth century, and New Orleans in the nineteen hundreds...They all knew about Silas, and how Qetsiyah buried him out of jealousy for marrying some other girl. Well, whatever it is, I know that he needs to be stay buried."

Katherine, however, looked unimpressed. "You are more out of depth than I thought. I think it's storytime," She said with a straight face and got on with the story for the nth time.

"Silas and Qetsiyah were two powerful witches from a group of gifted people called Travelers. And both were best friends since childhood, and they were also engaged. One day, Silas went to Qetsiyah and said he wants to live with her for eternity, and that, he did not want to be apart from her even by death. Silas asked her to create a spell that can give them immortality. Qetsiyah created the potion successfully and decided they can both take it on their wedding day."

"Why are you saying this, again?" Kol interrupted.

"Because stories are everything. So listen. I am not gonna repeat it again," Katherine said sternly to the petulant child before her. "As I was saying, The elixir for immortality is achieved. And that was when Qetsiyah got the twist of her lifetime. Silas left her at the wedding altar, after stealing the elixir that was meant for the two of them. Suddenly the flowers at the ceremony started to die, and Qetsiyah realized that Silas betrayed her and is drinking the elixir with someone. When Qetsiyah tracked down Silas and went even more ballistic when she saw him with her handmaiden, Amara. A low-life human."

Kol's interest piqued at this point and so he heard the story without any further interruptions.

"You can think just how much it pissed her off. Betraying her, and going after her human handmaiden. So, out of revenge, Qetsiyah created the cure for immortality. Silas, who was out on a walk, came home to find Amara missing and saw the whole place covered in blood. Qetsiyah came forward just then with a human heart and said she shoved the cure down Amara's throat and killed his one true love. She then asked Silas to take the cure and spend the rest of his mortal life with her. But Silas refused, of course, and tried to kill Qetsiyah in rage. But being an immortal meant he lost his powers, so Qetsiyah easily incapacitated him with her magic, lured him to a remote island, and buried him along with the cure, leaving him two choices. Rot in the darkness of the tomb, or die taking the cure, and come to the Other side, a supernatural purgatory which Qetsiyah created so that Silas can not even be with Amara even in peace once he does die.

"But Silas would rather rot than be with her obsessive ex-fiance for an eternity," Kol said, wrapping the story around his head. "But he will not forsake Amara. So, he should destroy the other side and unleash hell on earth while doing so if he does want to meet Amara after dying."

Katherine clicked her tongue at that. "You are a clever one." Kol didn't comment anything, deep in thought. "How do you know all this?"

"You will know that once I complete the whole story?"

"Isn't it already?" Kol asked, confused.

"There's so much more, honey," Katherine said, and Kol glared. "You call everyone as darling."

"Anyway, back to the story. To create the supernatural purgatory, Qetsiyah needed something invincible and everlasting. So when she confronted Amara, she didn't kill her. She just petrified her and faked her death. Once Sila was buried under a cave, she anchored Amara's life to the Other Side," Kol made a sound at the back of his throat at it. "So, when a supernatural dies, they have to pass through Amara, and the first immortal woman has to feel the death and pain of everyone that passes through her. I think Qetsiyah chose her for the spell not only for the pain but, also so that, even when Silas raises, he won't be able to destroy the purgatory if it meant he has to kill the love of his life."

"Time passed, and there was a division between witches and Travelers. One group that follows the rules of nature and balance, and the Other, that doesn't. Witches then placed a curse on Travelers saying if they were to stay in one place, then there will be plagues, earthquakes, and whatnot. Anyways, after the curse is placed, a few travelers killed Qetsiyah and took the anchor, Amara... moving her from one place to another for the last two thousand years. And since they are both immortals, Silas and Amara violated the natural law that all living things must die. So nature found a balance by creating mortal shadow shelves that can die."

"Doppelgangers," Kol whispered, and Katherine spread her arms wide, presenting herself, indicating he was right once again, saying, "Presenting to you, Amara 3.0."

"Being a doppelganger, and a Traveler, I know my shit," Katherine said, walking towards her car and bending in little to take out a couple of papers from it. "Good for us, Silas doesn't know about Amara. Nor do I plan on telling him. He is currently in Nova Scotia. 200 miles off the mainland. Both Silas and the cure are buried there."

"Silas is in Canada?" was the only thing Kol could say.

"Yes," Katherine said, as she threw a few newspaper clippings on her car's hood, Kol walked over to read about the mystical place where a few campers died years ago, and how the legend says there is a wishing well that lets people talk with the dead.

"Years later, a dying descendant of Qetsiyah performed a spell on five formidable hunters to fulfill Qetsiyah wish. The brotherhood of the five is formed. They must kill as many vampires as they can and let the mark on their shoulders grow. Once they kill enough, the tattoo on their arms will lead to the location of Silas. When they find him, they are supposed to shove the cure down his throat and kill him."

"Yeah, a lot good that did. Nik killed them all in the twelfth century after they daggered us and bragged about a cure for vampires," Kol said. "He tried to kill himself for the next 52 years as the part of hunter's curse, of course," he said, clicking his tongue."Good times."

Katherine just looked at him. Kol blinked and then groaned. "What now?"

"The hunters are like doppelgangers. Recurring until they complete the task by killing Silas. So, when one dies, another potential hunter takes his place. How many did you say Klaus killed again?"

"All five."

"So his hallucinations only stopped because the next potential five took the dead one's places by killing of a vampire," Katherine said. "It's a long process for gaining 5 hunters. So it probably took 52 years for the all five hunters to make their first kill."

"You know, I didn't quite believe when Klaus said you are the reason he made hybrids," Kol said, and Katherine snorted inwardly. "I mean, from what I heard from Rebekah, you are just a trollop."

"Yeah..tell her I love her too," Katherine said with a bright grin.

"Just how much do you know, darling?" asked the curious Mikaelson, not minding her sarcasm.

"Enough to know this one is gonna be a problem," Katherine said, dropping a photo on the hood above the clippings.

"Who is this?"

"Atticus Shane. An Occult Professor at Whitmore College," Katherine said. The doppelganger has been planning this for quite some time. She has been collecting everything relevant to Silas's plot during the past month with the help of relevant contacts and the internet.

"His wife, who was a witch, died trying to resurrect her son from the dead using Expression magic, and as expected it backfired, and she died. When Shane heard about the wishing well at the island in Nova Scotia, he went there, found the cave, and bled in doing so. However, the blood was enough for Silas to use his psychic powers. He appeared as Shane's dead wife and said if he were to raise Silas, then he could bring back everyone he loves from the dead. You following?" Katherine questioned, and Kol nodded.

"But to drop the veil of the Other side, Silas needs a descendent of Qetsiyah. Who happens to be the town witch, Bonnie Bennett. Bonnie should use the magic drawn from the expression triangle for that, and a celestial event, and perform the spell that will nullify the Other side. Silas told Shane all this and said that all the sacrifices he does are for the greater good and that they will all come back. Shane agreed, and is currently doing that as we speak," Katherine placed two other photos on the top of the pile.

"Pastor Young is the leader of the town council, a vampire hunter," Katherine spoke, pointing her hand in one picture. "His wife died due to cancer, and his therapist is Atticus Shane. Shane has been manipulating and hypnotizing the Pastor ever since to kill 12 humans if he wants to get his wife back. I don't know where they are in planning, but I think when the time comes, Pastor Young will perform the massacre."

"What's with the other guy?" Kol said, motioning to the next photo.

"That's Connor Jordan. The new member of the Five. Shane is tracking him down as we speak. And once he does, he will send him on his way here to complete the second sacrifice. 12 demons. It could be vampires or your brother's hybrids."

"Why are you saying this to me?" Kol asked. He knew the doppelganger had everything figured out at the point.

"Because I would rather have an undying Original on my side when I go looking for the first immortal," Katherine said with a sigh. "And I don't want Klaus to get any ideas, like using the cure on me to turn me into a human by shoving the cure down my throat so he can make more hybrids. Also, there is no way I trust Elijah." She then pointed her finger at Kol and said, "You, however, have a reason to help me. You have a motive and are as nearly as impulsive as me. So Voila!"

Kol shrugged. "Sounds good to me." He rubbed his palms together in excitement. "So, we will first go and kill this crazy professor and put an end to this," the wild Mikaelson said. "Then I will contact a few witches who might still be inclined to help me, and we find this Silas and kill him too. Once and for all."

"Good plan," Katherine said, picking all the papers up. "However, I would like a little something from you while we go to finish Shane at Whitmore."

"Making a deal, are we?" Kol asked with a smirk.

"It's a bit of a clean up actually. It won't take long for an Original Vampire," Katherine said. "It's a rescue mission for someone who has been stuck with a secret society that conducts experiments on vampires. And their base happens to be at Whitmore."

Kol, who has been itching for a kill, agreed for a massacre readily. They both planned to make a visit to the Whitmore the very next day, as Katherine said, she had plans with a blonde vampire for the day.

Just before she left Kol on a good note, the doppelganger spilled the beans about his mother's plan and the counterplan his brothers and she prepared. While Kol vamp sped to his home after hearing that, Katherine went to pick up Caroline and had a peaceful spa day at Richmond. Apparently, the blonde wanted to go shopping because her senior year is gonna start soon.

On their way back, Katherine also got a message from Elijah and Klaus saying Esther is in transition, and both Maddox and Greta helped in unlinking the originals. Katherine didn't know how the siblings were dealing with it, nor did she care. By the time Katherine came home, both Damon and Stefan knew the story, credits to the Originals that stopped by to talk to the doppelganger.

And there was also a surprise waiting for her in her room.

"Tessa?" The name rolled off her tongue before she could register the words.

Seeing a dead 2000-year-old witch in their room might do that to a person.

I had to reread the Wikia to write this chapter. Cause I wanted to understand how one can get access to Silas and cure. And a few people asked me to explain more about this for some time now. So here you go.

Silas is entombed in a cave that can be accessed by a powerful witch and a hunter in full bloom. Because the hunter will have the map. But when Bonnie is stuck in the prison world, without magic, that too, she went to Nova Scotia to find Silas tombstone that had Qetsiyah's calcified blood. Anyway, she didn't need magic or hunter as she knew how to go there. She also got The Cure before she came back to the living world.

But why Shane thought her expression magic was because he wanted her in helping Silas dropping the veil. Since Silas is immortal he can't do magic. Dropping the vile requires the descendant of Qetsiyah with the power of the expression triangle. Meaning 3 massacres. 2 of them Shane already achieved by murdering using the hybrids death and the other by pastor young. The third is witches. Which Caroline did in order to help Bonnie.

If you have any more doubts put them in the comment section and I will try to explain.
