Hi, everybody! I hope you enjoyed "Through a Soldier's Eyes", and if you like psychological stories like this, well, you've come to the right place. I have written, posted and completed two other stories like this. One is about the film version of Draco Malfoy, and it's called "How Did I End Up Here?", and the other is about the MCU's Loki Odinson/Laufeyson (whichever one he's feeling like that day, I guess). The Draco one takes you through all of the films from his perspective, though the main focus is on "The Half-Blood Prince" and "The Deathly Hallows", and I kinda just gloss over the first five. The Loki one takes you through the end of Thor, all of Avengers, and the first half of "Dark World" from his perspective.

The process of writing "Through a Soldier's Eyes" was actually kind of complicated, believe it or not. Not only did I almost get caught by a teacher writing it (I started this one in my senior year of high school, and the teacher who almost caught me was that kind of teacher who would make you delete the whole thing or rip up whatever you were working on if it wasn't for her class), but I had to figure out exactly how I was going to write it. The majority of books and stories are written in past tense, but I decided to write this one partially in present tense instead (There is only one book that I know of that's written in present tense, and that's Divergent). The Winter Soldier doesn't really have a past-at least, not one that he truly knows of, especially at first. So I wrote part of this story in present tense because of that, but as The Winter Soldier starts to become Bucky again and remember more of who he is, I gradually transferred the tense into the past to show that more in the way he thinks rather than explicitly stating it. But whenever he had a nightmare about the Winter Soldier or got caught up in that persona again because of fights or paranoia, I wrote in present tense again. The Winter Soldier is someone who only thinks in the moment. He calculates the best way to go about his assassination and nothing else, so I thought that writing the Winter Soldier as thinking in the present that it would show that (Admittedly, some people who read it before I posted it here asked why I changed tenses so often, so I just thought that I'd explain it here in case anyone was confused by it).

As for the future, I have several plans, and three of them are currently in the works. One of them is a three-way crossover that will have two parts. It'll be a Danny Phantom, Gravity Falls, and Over the Garden Wall crossover. It'll be an original story where Danny and his family go on vacation to Gravity Falls, Oregon because his parents detected high supernatural activity there in part one, and part two would be Danny Phantom and Over the Garden Wall. I haven't really worked out all of the details, and I've only written one chapter so far. I want to get several chapters done so that I can post them about once a week, and so that you guys won't be left hanging for who-knows-how-long while I write the next chapter. I hate it when fanfiction authors do that, and I know I did that a few times, but that's abnormal for me, I swear.

The second plan that's in the works-and a lot further along than the crossover fic-is an InvaderZim one. It's based of the Insane!Dib AU, but I'm not even sure if it qualifies as an actual AU because it takes place after the actual series. I have about five chapters written completely, though they need editing. Basically, Zim has finally had enough of Dib trying to expose him every day when he suddenly remembers the time that Dib got locked up with the Crazy Collar and stuff and accuses Dib of insanity. He takes actions to insure that Dib stays locked up. Warning, I'm very new to the Invader Zim fandom. That series came out and ended by the time I was about three, so I had very vague memories of the weirdest show I've ever seen. Then my friend introduced it to me, and I fell in love with the insanity. I don't know a lot of facts that fans who have been in the fandom for a really long time know, so I'm having my friend fact-check me.

The third plan I've got is a Danny Phantom based fic that revolves around the month after the accident/before the actual series starts. Butch Hartman released a video about what happened during that time-frame, and it gave me a bunch of ideas. The video is on YouTube and it's called "It's been a month since the accident..." if you want to watch it.

That's all from me! I hope to get a new fic partially written and posted soon, but no promises! And again, thanks so much to all who have read and supported "Through a Soldier's Eyes"!
