A/N Here is another one. Hope ya like it. And again, I believe Luther said it best " I have a dream. Alas, due to giant corporate companies that had that dream before me, it's all copyrighted and I don't own anything. Peace!"

Ash panted harshly as he dodged another fire ball from his partner, before he swiftly entered his personal space and with an uppercut, send the poor fire lizard flying. They had been training for hours and it showed with the burnt trees, small craters and destroyed boulders. Surtr in turn, using his tail, twisted in mid air and unleashed a hail of embers forcing his foe to retreat. Landing on the floor, he activated Metal Claw and with a kick he was upon his trainer who met him halfway.

Ash dodged under a swipe before coming up and slamming his fist into the lizards side, only to jump over a tail swipe and in mid jump grabbed the shoulders of the lizard and twirled around him, before copying an attack from a Hitmonlee and smashed his knee into Surtrs face causing the lizard Pokemon to stumble back. Seeing his chance, he dashed with his fist cocked back, only to be met with a smirk before three claws slashed his side open spraying blood as let out a cry of pain.

They both stopped and watched as the wound started healing up. In a few minutes, the only thing left would be a scar to signify the healing process was done. Ash shook his head, "That's twenty to fifteen, your win." He grumbled about it being unfair while Surtr snorted some flames. "Yea yea laugh it up you stupid lizard. I'll show you tomorrow...or well next time."

Surtr nodded his head, both realizing it's already been a week. 'What a week man.' They had both trained like crazy, sparring with each other, and in general living in the wilderness, strengthening. Surtr was already proficient with Metal Claw and has already mastered Ember. They had experimented and used his control over the flames to make different attacks. Soon he was spitting fire balls the size of Ash's torso, slow but powerful, or small pellets, smaller than Ember yet twice as fast. With Metal Claws they decided to see if Surtr could learn Fire punch or a variation of it, maybe even Dragon Claw, though that would take some serious time.

'It doesn't matter. We have five years. We have this in the bag.' "Hey Surtr. How about when we get back, we have Arcanine teach you Flamethrower like we said, get Hitmonchan to teach you the basics of Fire punch. Once we get Fire punch down, wanna move to Dragon claw?"

Surtr nodded, eager to expand his move set into more powerful attacks. Yea he already packed more punch due to his different typing and his link with his trainer but still, Dragon Claw! 'That's another thing. The link.' They had found out that the link between the two allowed them to feed energy to one another, they could understand what one was feeling and could even influence each other. Neither new how this came about but it didn't matter now. Now they understood each other better and that meant they could help each other grow stronger.

As they laid down and took a breather, Ash and Surtr heard a couple of voices coming from deeper in the forest. Narrowed eyes, they both started making their way over, underneath the cover of bushes, with Surtr keeping his tail flame low. They found themselves watching a clearing in which a few members of Team Rocket were in, gathering downed Pokemon and loading them up on a jeep. They were jeering and making fun of the Pokemon.

But that didn't matter to Ash. Nothing mattered except those words, "Team Rocket", he stood up and walked out Surtr following his lead, the fire lizards' eyes glowing a bloody crimson. The closest member to them turned around and shouted, "Lookie here boys, we have a lost boy and his lizard." Taking note of the black Charmander, a sick grin appeared on his face, "A very precious little lizard. Alright kid, hand over the lizard and we'll let you run away." When the kid didn't answer, he narrowed his eyes. "Yo, didn't you hear me brat. Gimme your stupid lizard and scamper off, otherwise I'm gonna have to kill you."

But all of this went over Ash's head, whose face was covered by the shadow of his hat, his hands shaking and a low growl coming from his throat. All he could see; all he could feel was rage. Rage against Team Rocket for taking away his mother. Rage against them for scarring him. Rage for hurting so many people. And now a rage for trying to take his partner from him. Snarling he looked up, straight into the Grunts eyes, shocking him with Red glowing eyes, "What the h-ghgh." The rest of the team looked on shocked as the grunt fell on his knees, his hands going to his throat as trying to stem the blood flow.

Ash tipped his head to the side, a sick smile on his face, Surtr licked the blood of his claws as he purred in delight at the look of fear on their faces. Ash watched as they scampered trying to get their pokeballs out, but with a dash, he was behind them, fists cocked. To them he disappeared, while the Charmander ran at them.

A grunt was about to speak before he looked down in horror, seeing a fist through his stomach. He dropped dead soon after, followed by his teammates who were either burned alive, had their entrails ripped out or their necks snapped. Ash and Surtr stood, side by side before suddenly they collapsed in a heap. The emotional burden too much.

Oak grunted as he finished another call with Lance. 'Lance seems to be taking this much more seriously. Good' Already, four Team Rocket bases were found and destroyed, however Pewter city was hit along with Saffron. Unfortunately for the Rockets, Sabrina was not willing to allow anyone in her city, period. No one except for Lance and maybe other gym leaders and League members could go in, the city on lock down due to the gang war that rose up after the Celadon incident.

Pewter barely withstood the attacking force, the Gym leader being the only on call at that time, the police unable to react fast enough, having to investigate some sighting in Viridian Forest. Thankfully, the Gym Leader proved powerful enough with his rock type Pokemon, smashing the vehicles and the Pokemon into dust, before capturing the Grunts for interrogation. The Rangers were sending a few people in to help as well.

Lance was busy planning to have some men infiltrate Team Rocket, though oak was sceptical about that. If the new boss was anything like Giovanni, infiltration would be next to impossible. However, Oak himself had a lot of things on his plate going on. While getting the rooms ready for the guests coming in a few days, he was still waiting on Ash to come over. 'Tomorrow the boy is back. Finally.' It took a toll on him; he would not deny it. The worry he felt for Delia's son was real. 'The boy is smart. He'll be back tomorrow, stronger and probably raring to go.' He chuckled to himself. He had kept track on Gary and Leaf's progress as well. They were growing no doubt, but the speed in which Ash grew was astounding, something that caused him to think there might be outside influence, but he couldn't be sure.

Whatever happened though, he knew something bigger was coming. The days were dark, and they don't seem to be getting better. He just hoped that Ash would be able to stand up to whatever comes his way.

"Sir, another base was hit. What are we to do?" Petro wasn't sure what was going on with the new boss. At first, they were aggressive, fighting in ways Giovanni wouldn't dare to and now? It was like they were taking a back seat, doing nothing. It truly frustrated him, something the boss picked up.

"Are you frustrated Petro? You would be. You aren't meant to think about anything but attacks from the front. Leave the rest to your fellow admins and myself. Gaz, how is our esteemed Doctor?" The amused voice brought shivers to their spine. Even after months, their boss hasn't left the shadows and in fact no one has seen them leave the office. It made for good gossip though.

Gaz grunted, "Happy. His experimenting again." Thoughts of Celadon was in the minds of everyone, a few shivered and looked ready to throw up, others however shrugged it off. The boss chuckled, "Good, good. And what of the team in Pallet Town?" Even the smallest of missions, the smallest of teams were under the careful watch of the boss. No one knew how the boss remembered all of this and no one questioned it. "They aren't scheduled to report back in until tomorrow. Once they do, I'll bring to you the report."

"Hmm, a small team so close to the old man. Do you think its wise, boss?" A female figure spoke, making others nod or raise their eyebrows at the gall to question the big man. "Some would call it foolish indeed. Others would call it ingenious, have your pick it matters not. It's already done. You though, I want you to go to Johto. It's time the branch over there upped their activity."

The female nodded, apparently satisfied. "Now, everyone leave me be. Except for you, my dear agent." The one known as Agent was left alone with the shadowy figure, trying her best not to show fear. "You have a question, no?" It was scary, how the boss was able to read their thoughts so easily. It made everyone cautious of their thoughts inside the base and even outside. "Yes…Why did you let her question you. They are your subordinates, they should follow you without question, no?"

"Let them question. The answers are right in front of them and if they cannot see something that simple, then maybe I was in the wrong in making them Admins." Agent gulped at that, knowing there was not leaving Team Rocket without leaving the living. "And what of me? You took me but I have yet to do anything useful."

It felt like the atmosphere grew colder by the end of that sentence, "Truly? Did I not just answer that question. I told you, if you cannot even see the answer in front of you then maybe you need to be relieved of your duties." Eyes widening in fear, Agent shook her head, "No, there is no need…I'll find the answer I swear."

A chuckle was her dismissal, allowing her to leave the stifling room in a hurry, hoping to get away from the shadowy figure. Said figure was busy looking at a screen, watching as a team of grunts were ripped apart by a boy and his Charmander. "What a pretty look on your face…Ash."

Short but lots of info, dontcha think?
