"Mom I can't go to the beach!" Sam whined sitting across the table his math book open and sheet of paper half filled.

"Why in earth not sweetheart?"

"They'll be girls there." She smiles with a hand she reaches to touch his hair, he jerks back.

"Honey I know Cindy broke your heart, perhaps its time to let her go, ok?" Sam rolls his eyes holding back a huff of frustration.

"I know that mom, trust me I have been over her in weeks! I mean Cindy who?" His mother knew from years of watching her children grew, to know the difference from the truth and a lie. This was a lie. After all Sam had only been the sensitive one.

"Good. So going to the beach this summer should be fine right? If anything we need to fix your albino complexion!"
