Juleka's finger nails looked weird pressed against normal, rounded ones when she'd set out to paint them black with a bit of Rose's help, but then again, she'd long since never felt the need to wonder how they came to be, not when her heart raced when he stared into her eyes.

For now though, she'd be content enough to just lean against his side and feel so, so endlessly strong, not that she couldn't break, but something about Max made her feel fearless and brave, like she was to live and keep on fighting for his sake. His quiet tendency to pay attention to the world around him now left butterflies in her stomach since he'd noticed her even when she'd tried to hide in, blend into the shadows around her.

Max made her feel alive, by paying attention to the little things, the things that most never noticed or ever cared to notice about her. He knew how she defined aspects of herself based off of what she could do. He knew that she liked makeup, watching romance movies with little tidbits of comedy that had grown on her over the years of hanging out with Rose, and he knew that while she liked horror, sometimes it left her so, so scared to death.

Juleka never had to say much about those little aspects to who she is; Max just knows, he notices, and he's willing to handle it. Horror movies never tended to scare him as he was too analytical and yet romance movies weren't really his favorite either. He loved Sci-Fi, loved anything to do with robots as they'd helped him step up and discover a passion for robotics since he was a young kid.

She was absolutely positive that one of the best hearts in the world was wrapped up in her boyfriend's chest. Max is kind, not over the top kind, just kind and willing to work hard. He reminds her everyday that hard work really can take you places, and she feels more confident chasing her dreams wherever they lead her with Max by her side.

"You know, I love you." She whispered in his ear, stepping even closer to where her breath practically only falls on his neck.

"I love you too, Juleka." Max murmured back and as his hand squeezed a little over top hers, she knows it's true.
