Author's Note: That was fast. I just really wanted to get it out here. Do you guys wanna see Dadzawa's- I'm sorry habit, Aizawa's POV? Think I'm gonna do that next.

Skull was the first to get through the gate, because he was sprinting before Present Mic even screamed 'START!', turning to his Mafia days mentality. If you're not as good as them, cheat. Using every smallest thing to his advantage.

The robots weren't as scary to him as they could have been for some normal kid (as normal as a kid growing up in this world of heroes could be) because he was well versed in all things strange and robotics may not have been Verde's thing, but that crazy-ass scientist meddled in literally every field possible. Plus, Tsunayoshi the littlest Vongola had those two kids from Byakuran of the future, Shoichi and Spanner, if he wasn't mistaken. And as small a contact as he had with them, he still was able to experience the shit those two nerds came up with the few times he dealt with (was beaten by) Reborn.

Logical was that the brain, so to speak, wouldn't be in the limbs, those were the easiest to get to, but probably the middle or the head. There should be a way to get to it, for the mechanic working on them. He couldn't really use his Flames because his Quirk was registered as Brainwashing. Internal boosting only, no burning or multiplying anything outside of his body.

(If he lost a fucking limb, he thought, warily observing the explosions and the speed of some of the bots, he was going to regrow it with his Cloud Flames, no question. And maybe sue the crazies who thought this exam was a good idea.)

He needed to be a normal but well-trained, athletic and cunning teenager with a Brainwashing Quirk. He needed to use his brain and quick because time was limited.

Conclusion, he needed to get in there and fuck shit up quick. What better way than to form a coalition, maybe brainwash some unfortunate souls to hold the bots down while he struck the things for points? Yeah, that was the idea, he just needed to find some-

Shit, he just walked into a literal pre-murder scene. A robot was trying to kill some clumsy kid and Skull didn't need this kind of drama in his life, he was going to turn away and score some points and Brainwash some people to set him up some more easy points and-

He was already fucking running to that unfortunate soul's rescue.

Climbing up the lamp directly over the bot's head with a monkey-like moves, sure and quick, dropping on top of the pile of metal and then frantically skimming it's head for a panel to switch it off (he didn't have a screwdriver or a knife to open it, using just his nails to rip the panel up and apart would be good for now, hopefully attributed to adrenaline or faulty lid). It all happened in maybe twenty seconds altogether. It still left him sweating a little, heart beating faster and his Fire burning brighter and hotter inside of him than it did in the last 15 years.

It left him feeling on top of the world.

Crouching down to the kid's level he looked him up and down. Brown hair, black tracksuit and white running shoes which, well, it seems that most of the students went with an ensemble similar to this but to Skull it was just plain stupid. Because what do you think the Hero exam to the most prestigious Hero Academy was going to be like? Compared to the sturdy black boots he had (a size too big and broken in some time ago before they were donated to him, at one of the nicer houses he stayed in lately, but they were still serviceable and good to go, the size difference not really being an issue, nothing two pairs of socks, one on another, couldn't fix), green tactical trousers with multiple pockets and a black t-shirt with long sleeves, you would think they were in for two very different exams here.

"You okay?" He asked, eyes flitting away when he registered tears leaking out of the brunet's wide eyes. His peer nodded quickly, dashing the tears away with a sleeve of his jacket and managing a grimacing smile.

"Yeah, it's just my- Just my ankle," He gestured helplessly at it and Skull felt a frown worm it's way into his face. He looked for permission, extending a hand in the direction of the limb, the weak nod giving him all he needed to tug the pant leg up slowly. Good thing the kid was wearing low socks, because he could see the damage immediately without taking those off too. Bad thing, the ankle was swelling like crazy.

He looked around, sounds of battle coming from all around, explosions and shouts and a bit of a building close by crumbling.

"I'm not a doctor, I don't know if it's just twisted and it's not safe here. We have to get you somewhere safer," he mused and when he saw the pained grimace spread across the other's pale face, he quickly tagged on, "I'm gonna have to carry you, you won't be able to walk on this foot anytime soon. That okay with you?"

The brunet just let out a long breath and slumped a little in on himself, "I guess I have no choice. I already bombed this exam."

Skull said nothing as he arranged the boy's limbs in place before rolling him across his shoulders. He hesitated for a moment before grabbing a longish piece of metal, as long as his hand but sharp, must be from one of the bots lying around, stuffing it into a pocket at the side of his thigh and smoothly rising. He began to walk away from the scene, trying not to jostle the other too much but still maintaining his quick step on the destroyed and rubble covered street.

"Oh shit," he heard at his ear and moved his eyes in that direction quickly, casting a glance at the other, who looked even more miserable and panicked than a few seconds ago.

"What," he demanded, eyes already scanning around them in search of a threat.

"I'm making you bomb this exam as well, shit," Skull startled, nearly halting in his tracks but just ending up with a light shake of his head. "I am. Man, thanks for this and all but you should just leave me, go get the points. I'm just slowing you down, just lay me down here, here is perfect, God I'm so sorry-"

The babbling stopped when Skull snorted a short laugh, "Don't worry about it."

"Don't-don't worry? I'm literally destroying your future right here! Any chances you have of ever becoming a hero-!"

"Don't mind," Skull minded a little bit, as his plans of going to the best Hero High School were being shot right about now but also, he knew there was always a chance. A different school, maybe this one again but next year and if that didn't work out, why not turn to the Mafia's (mostly Vongola and Shimon's) roots and go the vigilante way. He actually found himself a little warmed to this idea, even finding it in himself to quirk a small smile (smirk) the brunet's way. "I'm gonna be a hero regardless of my admittance to UA. Besides, what kind of shit hero would I be if I just left you here, in enemy territory, huh?"

The girl he tugged out of the way of a one-pointer was as much of a chance meeting as the one with the deadweight (the boy wasn't really all that heavy, what with Cloud Flames constantly flowing through his muscles and propagating his strength) across his shoulders was.

He was coming out of an alley at a run, one fast robot after him, and having no place to leave his temporal teammate where he would remain positively unharmed, he decided escape was probably the best option. That was the moment when she nearly bolted past him and straight into the way of the one-point villain that was after him.

He saw it before she did and stuck out his left arm, right one holding the guy on his shoulders. She ran right into his it and he tugged her into his chest and turned with the force of it, spinning on his heel swiftly and ducking behind the wall of the building she came from. He went to press his back against the wall but a grunt from next to his ear informed him that he still had a boy thrown over his shoulders. He cursed lowly but a tug to his shirt prompted him to look down and right into a red faced, black-haired girl's eyes he was crushing to his chest up until that moment.

He didn't release her, instead he looked at where her other hand was pointing and let out a fiery but still quiet "Fuck."

Because that was the way the girl came from. She was running from one villain. And a second one-pointer was coming their way from there.

"What's your Quirk?" He barked at the girl who scrambled to answer, mouth working only for a choked wheeze to leave it, face gone pale. He immediately released his tight hold but kept his arm loosely around her, looking at the fucking bot coming towards them from the other end of the street, it would likely get here in the next 20 seconds, those wheels looked like the rubble littering the road wouldn't stop it for long.

"Colour manipulation!" Was answered from behind him with, a crack present in the voice. Skull send a wry look at the plain kid, brown hair, brown eyes, no distinctive marks, black tracksuit white shoes, well maybe he wanted to look normal for a moment then? He wasted exactly one second to lament over it, that shit wouldn't do much here, would it?

"It's Hyper Vision, I can see in great detail but only things that create energy output." He did a doubletake, pointedly glancing at her glasses, at which she went even again turned red, embarassed. "I just can't see something like people's faces and writings," she mumbled quickly, breath coming fast, fear making her shake, eyes trained on the advancing bot and head swivelling into the direction where the second one was coming from.

The robot was some ten meters away.

"Okay, shit, okay," He released her, quickly swung the kid from his shoulders and sat him on the pavement. "You're gonna look at this thing and tell me where the fuck it's power source is so I can get to it and turn it off. Agreed?" He barely waited to get a nod in response before he took off running.
