Blue. Jonesy lived in shades of blue. His hair. His jeans. His preferred dream.

He inhaled machismo and exhaled male chauvinism.

As much as it annoyed her, she knew he couldn't help it, though. Growing up without a solid mother figure, a constantly working father, and two younger brothers made him into a guy with complicated ideas of masculinity.

He struggled with his own feelings for blue, beyond the color. She peeped the way he looked at Jude. He wanted more than video game nights and smoke sessions.

She wanted Caitlin the same way.

Finally, she and her boyfriend set each other free, realizing their destiny as just friends and their attraction to the opposite ends of the spectrum.

Blue may have been his truth, but it wasn't hers.
