CHAPTER 11
Katherine Pierce smirked at her girlfriend as she gathered everything she needed for Valerie Tulle and Valerie's group for Bonnie's soon to be 'magic bound' ritual.
"Are you sure that you don't want to go and see them?" Her girlfriend asked and Katherine nodded.
"I'm pretty sure that if Elijah caught me at her house he'd kill me or send me to Klaus," Katherine told her and Seline nodded. The siren smiled at her and motioned for the fridge as the veins underneath Katherine's eyes flickered and pulsed slightly. "Have fun," Katherine called as she walked into the kitchen and Seline went to the front door.
Elena was worried as Davina was spelling the property and Jeremy was ransacking the family's library for her hidden Petrova family grimoires that were filled with obscure spells.
"Davina's still worried," Matt told him as he went to help Jeremy. "Elijah's trying to calm Elena down but it's not working as well as he hopes but as long as she's not physically ill I'm taking him at her calming down as a good sign."
"That's all we can do," Jeremy sighed. "Seline's going to be here." He saw Matt's pale face. "Just Seline as Katherine refuses to be here. Elijah scares her."
"How's Seline?" Matt decided to ask once he found out that the siren's girlfriend wasn't coming. He could remember just how flirtatious Katherine had been with him a few years ago.
"She's happy," Jeremy chuckled as he was tossing books aside. "She's-FOUND IT!" He cheered as he held up an old Petrova family grimoire.
"So we're waiting for Valerie?" Kol asked as Stefan looked worried at Caroline who had told him, Kol and Holly what she did. "Do you know when she's going to be here?"
"In a few hours," Caroline fretted as she paced a hole in the two hundred year old rug in the living room. "She's going to be here while Seline will be at Elena's house."
"Seline?" Holly asked.
"She's a siren," Stefan explained. "She also has a sister named Sybil-currently in a relationship with Damon-but Seline has a bunch of old grimoires and witch paraphernalia."
"I'm back," they looked to see Freya there with Marcel and the hooded figure. "I brought company."
"Get Elijah and his family here," Marcel told them. "This needs to be said…as well as undagger Rebekah."
Stefan watched as the color came back to his girl-no, to Rebekah-again but she didn't open her eyes.
Kol, who was beside him, held Rebekah's dagger loosely in his hand and his eyes were narrowed at her body.
Whether or not he can trust her after what will be said is up to her though he hoped that the Mikaelsons will still be his friends after this.
Elijah was worried but as he watched Davina give Elena and Nova some bracelets-enchanted and filled with protection spells-he smiled.
He would do whatever it takes to protect them.
Even at the cost of his life.
Rebekah's eyes fluttered opened and she was staring at her boyfriend and her fourth oldest brother who was holding her dagger dangerously in his hand.
Usually she wouldn't be worried but in this instance she was.
She knew that Elijah's anger made him a bit sloppy in fighting while Klaus would just dagger siblings or shove daggers into hearts.
Kol had a reputation of slaughtering cities and towns for no reason as well as killing vampires he created without blinking.
Out of all of her siblings she was more worried about Kol's anger…especially if it was directed at her.
Freya watched as Elijah held his daughter and hold Elena's hand as they entered with Davina and two men behind them. Klaus and Caroline were on the couch that Freya and the prisoner were in front of.
"What is it?" Davina asked the older witch curiously. "What's going on?"
"Marcel figured out who is working with Tristan and Lucien," she told her. "I'm about to reveal who it is."
"There's no need," Marcel said as he entered the room from the kitchen. He walked over to the figure on the ground and took off the hood to see Hayley. "She's not working alone either."
"Why is she doing this?" one of the men behind Elijah asked. "Doesn't she have everything that she could ever want?"
"My people are still in the Bayou and treated like garbage," she spat. "The vampires and the witches rule the Quarter! The Mikaelsons talk about treating everyone fairly yet my people are still treated like noncitizens!"
"Who's working with her?" Klaus asked as he watched from the couch as Caroline stared at Hayley in shock. "Do you know?"
"How did Hayley know where Tristan and Lucien were?" Marcel asked and Elijah looked angry.
"Rebekah," was the only word that escaped his lips. "She would know."
"Who else?" Caroline suddenly asked as her stomach felt like knots.
"Who works at her favorite bar?" Kol suddenly asked as he entered the living room with Rebekah, Stefan and Holly.
"Cami? Our family therapist?" Freya suddenly felt sick. "Our therapist. Our therapist is evil."
Bonnie was outside of the Abbatoir and as she took a step she found herself blocked. Her eyes narrowed into slits and as she raised a hand she fell to her knees, screaming as witches from all sides. She managed to look up to see Davina, Freya, Holly and Valerie standing in front of the witches.
"What are you doing?" She hissed in anger.
"Binding you," Valerie whispered and as the Bennett witch glared at the Heretic, the blonde just shrugged it off. "It's for your own good. The path you're walking is the same path that you nearly went down on when you ended up neutralizing Klaus all those years ago."
Holly sighed.
"When you're better you may end up being able to use some magic," Holly said. "It was a better alternative instead of doing what Elijah planned."
"That was?" Bonnie gritted in pain.
"He was all for turning you and making sure that you transitioned," Davina told her.
Rebekah was pacing her room as Stefan was sitting on the bed.
"Just tell me why," he told her. "Why do this? Why help Hayley?"
"Hayley's my only friend," Rebekah told him. "As for why?" She shook her head. "Do you think that Klaus or Kol would have happily allowed the werewolves to be treated like citizens? No. Elijah would have but he's been…being an idiot." She sneered. "Believing what Elena says but she's a liar. She'll stab him in the back."
"Like she did to you," he realized. "All because she daggered you…you want revenge."
"I'm good at getting what I want with no consequences," she reminded him. "I have you."
"Had," Stefan corrected her. "You had me. Not anymore." He stood up he made his way over to the door. "Just for the record-Elena wasn't there when you were daggered. Katherine was and instead of daggering you herself Katherine had a witch do it."
Rebekah screamed in anger as Stefan left the room.
Cami was wiping down the bar when the door opened. She didn't look up but she should have as she suddenly fell to her knees and her face vamped out. Looking up she saw Freya and Vincent.
"You should have known that we Mikaelsons are very resilient," Freya told her. "So how did you find out that Nova was Matt's niece?"
"I mentioned his name to Rebekah," the newbie vampire hissed. "She told me all I needed and when I knew that Matt was busy here when I was 'off' I entered the house with a couple of vampires and took her."
"Why?" Vincent asked.
"Plausible deniability," she screamed once she finally answered after Freya got annoyed with her silent treatment. "No one would have ever known that I helped."
"You will be punished like Rebekah, Bonnie and Hayley," Freya told her coldly. "If I had it my way you will be killed."
Stefan was sitting outside when Seline and Valerie sat next to him on either side.
"So you left her," Seline mused. "How do you feel?"
"Hurt," he whispered. "It's illogical that I should be hurt but yet I do feel hurt."
"Breakups are painful," Valerie reminded him as she remembered their breakup. "It doesn't matter who did the breaking up-it's always going to hurt."
Seline, seeing them together, silently left and found herself in front of Caroline who was a nervous wreck.
"They're going to be fine," Seline told her. "They'll find a way to heal even if they get back together."
"I want him happy," she admitted.
Rebekah was staring at her three brothers and older sister.
"What's my punishment?" She asked them confidently.
