Hello, again.
Sorry for potentially taking longer than expected (even for me), but the details will be worth it.
Perspective: Sun/Sakura, Primarily Pinkie
Don't own MLP or Naruto, by the way.
Blue Skies and Bigger Problems than expected
XXKonohaXX
Pinkie shook his head in disappointment, looking on at a despondent and confused Tsunade. Jack and Dash managed to get through, but didn't quite manage to break her out completely.
Walking up as Shizune came up with a bottle of sake, he grabbed the bottle and put it to the side. "This isn't what Tsunade needs right now, despite how you both might think."
Tsunade glared lightly at the boy. "Oh really?"
"It's harder to let go of the years consumed by grief than you thought, ain't it?" Pinkie asked, getting a light flinch from the woman. "And even with Jack and Dash, you're still confused somewhat about what to do. Or rather, what you need to do."
Tsunade stood up. "And that's what? Become the Hokage?"
"Which can help keep future cases similar to Dan and Nawaki to a minimum, seeing as virtually nothing would stop you from creating a medic-nin program." Pinkie told her just as Rare, Jack, Dash, and Shy appeared out of nowhere around them.
"Teh position will give yeh all the help yeh need ter make it happen." Jack added. "Not just Shizune or us."
A round of agreements came from the surrounding onlookers, while Shizune was trying to figure out just where the four boys came from. How the-wha-just...HOW?!
[Chitty Chitty Bang Bang – Roses of Success]
"Every broken bubble has a glory!" Jack began, followed by Shy singing "Each and all our losses make a point!"
Dash took next "Every shiny path that goes astray, Shows you how to find a better way."
Rare created a crystal needle and mimicked getting pricked and shaking his hand from the pain. "So every time you stumble, never grumble."
Pinkie held out a pair of cupcakes to the women. "Next time you'll bumble even less!"
"For up from the ashe, up from the ashes," The boys joined together to pick Tsunade up, surprising her as the village joined in. "grow the roses of success!"
They then marched her through to the main square, all the while singing alongside the villagers, "Grow the roses! Grow the roses! Grow the roses of success! Oh yes! Grow the roses! Those rosy roses! From the ashes of disaster grow the roses of success!"
Tsunade, however, was still doubtful when they put her down. "Yes, I know. But to be fit for Hokage?"
"You can," Hiruzen joined in, surprising her with his appearance. "For every big mistake you make, be grateful."
"Here, here! That mistake you'll never make again!" Jack and Rare declared together, holding a sample of their products as examples. "No sir!"
Pinkie and Dash then walked up to her face, getting the woman to back up towards Hiruzen. "Every single dream that breaks and dies, generates the steam for two more tries!"
Shizune got into the spirit of things just then. "Oh, there's magic in the wake of a fiasco!"
"Correct!"
"It gives you that chance to second guess!"
"Oh yes!"
Hiruzen then gestured to various spots to the boys. "Then up from the ashes, up from the ashes, grow the roses of success!"
Jack and Rare made the first move, concentrating their respective abilities through the ground, creating a quite magnificent stage with crystalline trim. Dash quickly followed, etching leaves, vines, and flowers all over. "Grow the roses! Grow the roses! Grow the roses of success!"
Pinkie and Shy went up next, setting pieces on the stage itself with a little help from some ninken. "Grow the roses! Those rosy roses! From the ashes of disaster grow the roses of success!"
Now, Tsunade was finally starting to get it, remembering the past Kages. "Drama couldn't stymie Tobirama!"
Pinkie shook his head in agreement over her head, even though his body was nowhere close. "No sir!"
"Minato took years to see the light!" This was towards Dash.
Dash nodded in response. "Right!"
"Grandfather Hashi knew failure well; he took a lot of knocks to ring that bell!" She joined the boys and Shizune on the stage.
They then joined together to the view of the onlookers. "So when it gets distressing it's a blessing! Onward and upward you must press! Yes, Yes!"
They proceeded to put up the pieces Pinkie, Shy, and the ninken brought over. "Till up from the ashes, up from the ashes grow the roses of success."
First was the chairs and mini-stage. "Grow the ro, grow the ro, grow the roses!"
Next was twin sets of stairs towards the sides of the stage. "Grow the ro, grow the ro, grow the roses!"
Following right afterwards was a rose red backdrop. "Grow the ro, grow the ro, grow the roses!"
The final piece, covering the things on stage, was a curtain detailing a sun designed like Yin-Yang encircled by the elemental cycle. "Those rosy ro, those rosy ro, Those rosy roses!"
While Hiruzen took off his Hokage Hat, only Pinkie noticed the crystal tree starting to glow and grow a bit (at least out of those there). "From the ashes of disaster, grow the roses of success!"
Hiruzen then shouted. "Start preparing!"
"Success!"
"End of the Exams!"
"Success!"
"Not just chunin! Tsunade, catch!"
"Success!"
[End Song]
After Tsunade caught the Hat, Pinkie looked towards the crystal tree with a serious expression. It'll be time soon.
XXTurtle IslandXX
Sun fidgeted in anxiety and frustration beside Jiraiya, who rest a hand on the boy's shoulder. "You really should try and calm down, Sun."
"Sorry, and don't start with the idea that I don't trust Sakura." Sun responded, looking at the man, "I just don't trust Blossom to not do anything."
It had been about a day since they had arrived on Turtle Island (though it was more just the night), and they were currently at the officially training ground on said island. Sakura was meditating underneath a waterfall, while Sun and Jiraiya were standing on the lake shore opposite her.
A few minutes later, though, Sun asked a genuine question. "Shouldn't, uh, something happen by now?"
"Not necessarily." Jiraiya responded after a moment of thought. "Do bear in mind, the Biju aren't the most known subject, and dealing with someone like Blood Blossom even more so. This is relatively uncharted territory, let alone unheard of."
Just then, they heard a giggle that set both of them on edge and got Sakura's attention. "I was actually just waiting for the real opponent to show up."
They found Blossom perched on a rock off to the side, wearing an exact copy of Sakura's outfit.
Said girl immediately moved to fight, only for Blossom to point back at the waterfall. "Like I said, I'm not the one you'll be fighting."
A figure walked clean out of the waterfall, one which made all of their eyes widen as they instantly recognized the person, though Jiraiya noted something distinctly off in both appearance and voice when said person spoke.
"Hello, daughter."
Despite how I made the end seem, he is NOT back, hence Jiraiya's notes of both look and voice. The full truth will come out next chapter.
And as for the crystal tree...yeah that should be kind of obvious.
Also, real quick, just recently got a review from one HyperA2019 that gave me a bit of an idea: instead of Kurama, like in canon, they create an avatar of Naruto. While the review wasn't directly like this idea, considering what I did in Nami, it does make sense, seeing as then I made it take the shape of an arm. What if by then they weren't quite synchronized (or something) to unleash the full form? Feel up for it, let me know, and props to HyperA2019 for bringing it up.
Until next time. Please let me know what you think.
