Chapter 26: Love is Calming
Yumoto yawned as he awoke in a bed, he sat up and rubbed at his eyes. He blinked as he realized he was in a bed. "Huh…? This isn't my futon…"
"Oh thank the gods!" Ryuu yelled and Yumoto gasped as Ryuu's arms were thrown around him, "You're awake!"
"How….long was I out?"
"Almost two days!" Ryuu cried, "Kinugawa-senpai was so upset."
"Where am I even at?" Yumoto asked and Io gasped, "Do you not remember?"
"No…?"
Ryuu smiled, "This is your bed in the Palace of the Gods."
"What…?" Yumoto replied, "Why am I here…?"
"You weren't moving…we had the God of Health check you out. Zundar basically spat out another curse at you."
"What? He just said I wasn't going to make it to my throne…Hireashi already made it so…"
Io frowned, "Yumoto…"
Yumoto sighed, "And…this…" He looked at the outfit, "My sick robe…?"
En walked in, "Your curse mark was harming you. Kurou said that you had a fever when we brought you in."
Yumoto groaned, "Where is everyone else?"
"They're talking to your mother. The Caerula Adamas are checking the seals on Hireashi, Zundar, and Dadacha." En explained, "Atsushi is coming soon." He smiled, "He's getting you something."
"Like…?"
"It's a surprise." Ryuu sang. "Gods, this palace…it's so weird being back…" He sighed and looked up. "Yumoto…do you miss it?"
"I…" Yumoto began, "Not really…"
"Huh?"
"I didn't always like being the heir…I liked being…normal."
En snorted, "Yeah, normal."
Yumoto frowned, "What?"
En shook his head, "Ah, Atsushi!"
Atsushi smiled as he walked in, "Hello, Yumoto. Are you feeling better?"
"Yes….?" Yumoto shook his head, "I'm not sore at all…" He looked down at his ankle. "Did…I really have a needle in my ankle once…" He felt his ankle and frowned, "There…there's a small scar there…"
En frowned as he noticed. "Yumoto…it's okay."
"I…I know…" he looked up at them, "Where are the twins, Satoru, and Araki?"
"They're coming soon." Ryuu smiled, "Araki and Satoru were checking in on things. The twins were talking to your brother."
Yumoto laughed, "They adore him." He sighed softly and En smiled, "Don't worry."
Io looked out the window. "Ah, the guards are training agai—"
"Hey, Araki is sparring with the God of Honor!" Ryuu gasped out, "Cool!"
Yumoto smiled as his guardians began to speak…he wouldn't change this for the world…
"Ah, Little one." Ibushi spoke as he, Kinshiro, and Akoya walked into his room.
Yumoto smiled, "Hi! Araki is going to be coming soon."
Kinshiro blushed, "Are…you…?"
"Fine? Yes." Yumoto giggled, "I…I'd like to say…thank you."
"Huh?" Akoya blinked and Yumoto smiled, "When I first remembered who I was…" He stood, "Ibu-chan-senpai saved me from that monster."
Ibushi smiled, "Yes I did…"
"I'm so happy…I know I was a pain at times but…"
"Don't worry." Kinshiro replied and Akoya smiled, "Sorry, we set your curse mark off once."
"I'm glad you did…Hireashi…apparently has caused a lot of horrible things to me. Mama came in with papa and told me everything…"
Kinshiro frowned and Akoya grabbed Yumoto's hand. "And you survived it all."
Yumoto blushed, "Y-yes…"
Ibushi hugged Yumoto tightly, "I'm glad it was my leg and not you." He whispered and Yumoto smiled, "I…I'm so glad you're okay."
"Me too…I love you…"
"I love you too Ibu-chan-senpai…"
Araki smiled as he peeked in the room, he and Yumoto locked eyes. "Everything is back to normal…thank gods."
Kinshiro blushed as he watched them, "Yes…we have found Prince Scarlet to be safe…now he has his guardians all back together. Tungsten is back and we even have the twins once more…I am glad to be a guardian of the God of Light…"
