Amen
A/N: This is a very short oneshot, but I'm really proud of it. It has a deep religious theme to it. Enjoy!
As Elsa stepped inside the chapel, she felt a wave of mixed emotions come over her. She hadn't been here since her coronation, which was over a month ago. It still looked the same as it always did, but the sight of it caused her to feel a sense of relief and anxiety. Truth be told, Elsa was never really a religious person. She believed in God, prayed to him over the years, and read the bible, but she wasn't exactly a spiritual person. She felt it was important to come to church today, to talk to God about the recent events in her life. Elsa dipped two fingers into the holy water font, before performing the sign of the cross. When she walked down to the isle towards the altar, she looked up at the stained glass windows in front of her. The sight of Jesus gazing back at her, caused Elsa's anxiety to fade slowly away. In the nave, she took a seat in one of the pews, folded her hands together, and bowed her head.
"Heavenly Father, I come before you to do to speak about all that has happened in my life. I sinned, Father. When I unleased an eternal winter onto the kingdom I was supposed to rule and protect. I endangered the lives of many people, especially my sister, Anna. Because I let fear control my life, I hurt her. I never realized that all I needed was love to control my powers. If only I had realized this sooner. Then the last thirteen years would have been happy. I made so many mistakes, Lord. Ones that I will forever regret. I would give anything to make up for the time I lost with Anna. I missed out on so much of her life, all because I let fear control me. I know now that love is the answer. The love of my sister, Anna, is the most precious thing in the world to me. As the bible says in 1 Corinthians 13: 13: "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
"I promise, Lord, to be the best ruler I can be to my kingdom, and my sister, Anna. I will shower her with the love she desperately wanted for so long. I don't know what the future holds in store for us, but I intend to make sure that love is the heart of it all. I ask for Your forgiveness, Father, for the mistakes I made. I'm fully intent on never repeating them again. At the same time, I Thank You for all that you've blessed me with. I am so fortunate to have such an amazing family. I have You to thank for that. Thank You, Lord, for everything. Amen."
Elsa lifted her head, and walked down the aisle towards the entrance to the church. Her talk with God had put all her bitter feelings to rest.
