After Christine Daae meets her end on the pier of Coney Island, she wakes in London 2005 in a flat, living with the mother who died bringing her into the world and with the Girys. She also learns that she works with Meg as a shopgirl.
Christine almost meets the end to her second life until a man claiming to be her lost Angel of Music grabs her hand and whispers, "Run."
Once this Phantom is able to gain her trust, he offers Christine the chance of a lifetime: to travel through space and time with him.
But Christine is trying to solve the mystery of how she came here, while someone or something is claiming her to be the Angel of the Stars.
He's here, the Phantom of the Opera! :)
So, here's a little backstory: in this universe, the Phantom was, once again, born with his deformity. When the Phantom looked into the Time Vortex as a child, he was very much inspired, but became a little mad. The Doctor asked him to join him and Susan, but kept him in the TARDIS all the time because he feared that he would hurt someone... that is, until the adventure fully began. The Doctor considered the Phantom as family and said that, in the event of his final death, the TARDIS would be left to him. When the Phantom regenerated into his third incarnation, he figured that he could use his leftover regeneration energy to remove the deformity from his face, therefore keeping it from affecting future incarnations. The Phantom was the one who destroyed Gallifrey with the Moment, so there is a War Phantom that will come up in "Day of the Phantom.
The Ninth Phantom, played by Ben Lewis, is the incarnation out of the Time War. He has coal black hair that almost sticks up and brown eyes. He wears a black T-Shirt with a white blazer and dress pants. His sonic screwdriver is said to be an antique and one that belonged to the Doctor. He also sort of shares a personality with the Ninth Doctor, including his catchphrase, "Fantastic," but he still has characteristics that the Phantom character had in the musical.
So... let the dream begin!
