Malcolm's POV
This is so horrible. My dad just got arrested. The cops told me that no one deserved what happened to me. What's wrong with the way I lived? Now I'm really confused. Whatever. I guess these maniacs can keep their opinions.
"Do you know why what your parents did to you is wrong?" the insufferable cop asked.
"They were just showing me they love me! They did nothing wrong! Am I in trouble? Did I do something wrong? I'M SORRY, PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!" and just like that, I broke down crying. I feel so angry and confused.
Next Day
Reese's POV
I got home from that horribly jail-like place they call school. As I enter home, I yell, "I'M HOME!"
I'm surprised to see my mom talking on the phone. Well it's not the fact that she's talking on the phone; it's the fact that she's home.
"Mom, what are you doing home early?" I ask.
"Shhhh...oh...okay...I'll be there tomorrow...okay...okay bye."she finishes her conversation on the phone.
Only a moment later,"What are you doing? You need to be cleaning the house!" she shouts at me.
"Why? Is there someone coming?"
"Yes. You are going to have a new brother," she exclaimed excitedly.
"WHAT!? A new brother? Why do we need another kid taking up room in the house?" okay... I might legitimately be freaking out.
"Hey, Reese, CALM DOWN!" she exclaimed.
"Do you have any idea how hard it is just with DEWEY!? I don't need another dimwit making my life harder! I hate this life, this... this family! I hate all of you!" Having put in my two cents, I stomped off to my room and slammed the door.
