A/N:I am not Jk Rowling and none of the characters or setting or world of Harry Potter belongs to me.
**I want to thank CNova for being here with me on this journey as the best Beta and Alpha a girl could ask for and helping to make this piece everything it is now.**

Draco was getting ready to go out to dinner with all his friends. He was unusually nervous because it was going to be "the day". He had been sly about his feelings for a certain red-haired girl for a while now, at least when it came to her. The rest of their friends on the other hand all knew just how deeply he felt about her.

"Mate, you just need to put on your normal clothes so she'll be none the wiser and let's go," Blaise said walking into his room.

"But what if she says no to me because I look weird?" Draco inquired as he was staring at himself in the mirror.

"She's not going to say no, trust me on this one, besides I am pretty positive she wants you just as bad as you want her," Blaise smirked.

Draco narrowed his eyes, "what did you do Blaise? Trust you? I don't trust you, not with that scheming girlfriend of yours."

Blaise scoffed at his comment, "Daphne and I did not do anything. We just happend to call all of our friends together for dinner. Is that so bad? Maybe you should stop whining and get a move on."

"Fine, but the first round is on you," Draco said as he settled on his grey blazer, dark blue jeans and black button-up. After flicking off the lights, he put his blazer on as they headed out the door.

As they arrived at the restaurant Daphne, Hermione, Charlie, Pansy, Ron, Harry, Tracey, Astoria, Theo and Ginny were already there. Draco noticed Ginny looked rather fantastic in the green shirt she wore.

"Sorry guys, we were waiting on Draco here," Blaise pointed at the man behind him.

A cough interrupted before anyone else could speak, "Your table is ready," the hostess said.

The way everyone sat down almost seemed calculated to Draco, when it was time for him to grab his seat he noticed that the only empty seat was next to Ginny. This made him reflect back at the other dinners their friends would gather for and he realized that he ended up sitting next to her at these dinners more often than he thought. Everyone else was talking, so he did the one thing he came here to do. Talk to her.

"Everyone else seems to have forgotten we exist around here," he whispered to her.

"That's because they are all worried about their own little coupling life," Ginny smiled as she set her menu down.

"How is it we always end up next to each other at these things?" Draco threw the question at her.

"I'm not sure, but I'm used to it by now, it's not a bad thing really, I rather enjoy your company," she answered.

They both began to fiddle with the napkin set that was placed at their setting, but he noticed that Ginny's smile changed just a smidge. He couldn't quite read her expression. Her proclamation made him feel slightly giddy inside and he had to carefully think about what to say to her next.

"Ginny," he began, "Do you like sitting next to me so much so that you might want to go on a date with me? You know, just the two of us?" He conveyed his thoughts, looking hopeful.

"Oh, well I did already have plans to go on one with someone else..." she trailed off. Draco started to stutter and so she interjected, "You are so cute when you are embarrassed, though I am surprised it took you this long to ask. I was beginning to think you were never were, but yes," she replied.
