Now, Nino knew that when it came to music, he was pretty good.

He WAS a DJ after all. Not only did he have good taste, he knew the in's and out's, do's and don't's, and could's and should's of just about every occasion for music.

Including the one he was at right now.

Now, Nino could tell you right off the bat that he was only doing this here, at this type of party, for Adrien.

You see, his best friend was gonna not just theoretically, but literally sweep his girlfriend off of her feet and ask her to become his wife.

If it weren't for that, he would have never allowed himself to set foot in this disaster zone ever again.

While he didn't blame the people who worked there, it just brought unwelcome memories from school, back when he had first met Adrien- back when the akumas rampaged the city on a daily basis.

Although, he couldn't help but admit that Adrien was right about Chloe. The girl, after a year or so, had somehow improved her character and actually started helping about. To say that he was shocked was an understatement, and Adrien had teased him about it for months.

Marinette and Chloe had actually ended up as pretty close friends after a while, and soon all of the other girls had warmed up to her too. Although she still kept her snobby attitude, they all knew that it was more for show and teasing now than it was because she actually felt that way.

Actually, if he didn't want to be here because of anyone in particular, it would be because of the single fact that Andre Bourgeois seemed to have a death wish against him. The only reason he was still performing was because Chloe had stood up for him a few months back, and for that he really was greatful.

Though, that didn't stop him from sweating bullets every time the Mayor's eyes landed on him.

He saw Adrien give him a wink and a nod, and Nino nodded in return, giving him a subtly wink before getting the next record ready. Once the song was finished, he put on the record (why Adrien insisted it to be the theme song for Ladybug and Chat Noir, he didn't know. His bro was a total dork). He watched with a smug smirk as Adrien took Marinette to the dancefloor for a bit, feeling every bit like the father that Adrien should have had.

To be honest, Nino hadn't been that surprised when Gabriel Agreste had turned out to be Hawkmoth all those years ago.

As he prepared to NOT cry at his best friend's engagement that was surely about to happen at any moment, someone tapped his shoulder. He turned around and saw clear ocean blue eyes look up at him in slight interest, with a raised eyebrow.

"Seriously? Adri-kins requested that for tonight?" She asked.

'Of course.' Nino thought with a sigh. 'She's never dropped the nicknames.'

"He's just being his dorky self I guess." Nino shrugged, looking away from Chloe and back to the soon-to-be engaged couple, not wanting to miss the moment. From the corner of his eye, he could see Chloe doing it as well.

"Come to get the best view in the room?" He asked quietly.

"Something like that." Chloe admitted. Just at the end of the song, Nino stopped the music. They watched as Adrien promptly kept him and Marinette on the dance floor, gaining weird looks from the audience.

"Marinette." Adrien said- Nino couldn't hear the words, but he knew them by heart as an effect from rehearsing with the blonde. "I just want you to know, that I haven't just fallen for you. I've fallen hard, ever since that first day. I've fallen for you again and again, not knowing what might happen with us."

"We've been through some rough times, and I just wanna say, from the bottom of my heart, that I truly love you, Marinette. And so, I was wondering…" As he knelt down and kissed her hand, his right hand went into his pocket to pull out the box with the ring in it. He pulled it out and showed her the diamond ring just as he looked up.

"Marinette Dupain-Cheng, would you do me the honor and eternal blessing of being my wife?"

It was clear that the bluenette was speechless, the hand that wasn't being held raised to her mouth in shocked joy. Aww's encompassed the room, and when Nino looked around a bit he saw that Alya had her camera open and recording across the room, looking just as proud as he felt.

He looked at Nathaniel, Alya's boyfriend,'s expression next, which was filled with complete and utter adoration of Alya.

Finally he looked at Chloe, who was smiling so happily and brightly- so full of joy that he was once again shocked speechless about just how far her character had come.

He turned back to the scene just in time to see Marinette scream 'YES' and practically launch herself at Adrien, pinning him to the floor as she kissed him happily.

"So…" Chloe took a step closer to him. "I-I was wondering if you wouldn't mind showing me how to work this. I've always been curious about what would entice someone to stand or sit here for hours on end while all of the fun stuff happens."

Nino blinked, looking down at Chloe as she looked up at him.

A smile grew on his face.

"Sure thing." Nino moved to the records, expertly playing the next song. He showed her a basic movement on a record that wasn't currently playing, and when she went to try it she messed up.

"No, like this." Nino moved so that his hands were on top of both of hers, guiding them along in the dance that was his life.

As he continued to correct Chloe, he couldn't help but notice how her blonde hair that was let loose from her normal ponytail graced his cheek, or how small her well-manicured hands were compared to his. If he truly wanted to, he could fully encompass her hands in his.

He breathed in through his nose, and he couldn't help but notice that the perfume that she wore was honey scented, with a bit lemon, perhaps. He wasn't good with identifying smells. Not as good as Adrien was, anyway. The blonde could tell what was being cooked in the other room exactly with a blindfold and earplugs.

"...no … Nino… wrong…? … … LAHIFFE!"

"Sorry!" Nino blushed and jumped away from Chloe, face read as he suddenly felt sweaty. Chloe was pouting up at him in utter confusion, and he swallowed nervously. "Sorry, Chloe."

"It's okay." She said slowly, observing him closely with an expert eye.

He felt like he was screwed.

"Does that normally happen when you do that?" She asked after a moment.

"Uhh… y-yeah!" He said, covering up the bluff with an actual fact that wasn't actually the cause of it this time what-so-ever. "Y-You know, easier to get into the mood and know what the listener's and dancers want, a-am I right?"

Something seemed to spark in Chloe's eyes, and a small smirk formed on her face.

Okay, now he KNEW that he was screwed.

"Oh, that's nice to know." She admitted, looking up at him from under her lashes as she stepped closer, leaning in. "Is there… anything else that I should know?" She fluttered her lashes a bit, and his mind suddenly went black.

"I… uhh… … uhh…" He blinked suddenly when she booped his nose, going cross-eyed for a moment.

"Silly DJ." She said, rolling her eyes as she lightly scoffed. Some insecurity seemed to seep into her eyes for a moment, but he only noticed because he was finding himself lost in those ocean blue eyes "Do you… ah…"

"Can I kiss you?" Nino asked bluntly, and he only went redder once the words that he had actually spoken caught up with him. He felt surprised again when Chloe seemed to go red too, but unlike him she didn't seem phased by it, taking the surge of confidence from what he hoped was the cause of the rosy color on her cheeks and wrapping an arm around his neck.

"I'd love to."
