Year 1
Hadrian Potter sighed as he made his way to the Slytherin table, ignoring the shock looks he was getting. Taking his seat, he simply pulled out his Potions book and continued reading.
He didn't need to look up to see his twin's shock and angry face, or the sad smile on his godmother's face. He didn't need to see the Headmaster surprised face, or the sour look on his new Head of House. He knew it all and didn't care at all.
"So a Potter in Slytherin?" a blonde he knew was the Malfoy heir sneered at him as the feast began. He ignored him and quietly turned the page of his book.
The blonde pounce seemed to not like that.
"Hey, I'm talking to you Potter! Don't disrespect your betters." he yelled angry, but Harry ignored him.
Draco, who was royally pissed reached out to grab his arm, only to be thrown towards the end of the room. Everything seemed to have stopped at once and looked at the unconcious boy at the end of the Hall and the cold look on the youngest Potter twin.
The Slytherins got the message and he was never bothered...for now.

He got a letter.
His parents expressed their disappointment in him for his sorting and told him not to do anything that would sully his brother's name.
He snorted and threw the letter on the floor and with a snap of his fingers, it was burned.
If only they could burn too.

He's been called a prodigy in class. He never bothers to hide his talents and his work. He didn't need to hide himself here and thankfully if everything went alright, he'd been finished the accelerated program in four years and a few months.
He never hid his wandless magic-which impressed his teachers and the questions he asked seemed to be for those way above is age.
He ignored the glare that sent to him by the busy haired Gryfindor. He never understood her problem, always wanting to get everything question right and chosen for everything.
His house mates left him alone after the feats and even go the Malfoy pounce to leave him alone when he racked a lot of points.

Charlus is next to confront him.
A part of him is surprised of how much attention his birth family is paying him and another is annoyed.
"What's wrong with you?" Charlus explodes after dragging them away for privacy. Its been almost a week and it seems his brother finally caught him alone, with out his two lackeys. He goes on and on how its his fault for being so boring, so quiet. That they could have been best friends like the Weasley twins.
Now he's really angry.
"How dare you." he snarled, cutting off the red head's rant.
Charlus looks at his brother is surprise as Harry never raised his voice, heck he never remebered him yelling before. He was always so soft spoken. Now though, a look of pure anger crosses his face and he's never been so afraid.
"My fault? We have never been friends. You always hated me. You've always blamed everything on me knowing you would get away with it. Like the Weasley twin? They don't sell the other out. They stick by one another no matter what. What about you? Friends? The two of us? The only thing that's preventing that from happening is you. You think I'm jealous? Do you think I've ever had a birthday party? Ever been tuck into bed at night? Do you think I had parents to take care of me when I was sick? No Charlus, we will never be close, because to you, to your parents, all I am is the extra one, the unwanted burden. So don't you dare think this is my fault. As for my placement, I wanted to go to Slytherin because I didn't want to be in the same house as you. I'd rather die!"
With that the raven haired boy turned and walked away, leaving a shell-shocked and guilty saviour, as well as a certain greasy haired teacher who was listening in on their conversation.

Flying.
He's never been fond of the sport, or more like he's never tried it before. They have lessons with the Gryfindor. His best friend-even after his sorting-Neville Longbottom falls off his broom, but he manages to catch him.
Thanking him, the Couch still wants to make sure he's alright so she leaves. That's when trouble begins.
"Ha, did you see the squib? What an idiot!" Draco laughed, along with the other Slytherin. Harry simply takes out his journal and continues his research. He's finally made a breakthrough with his current project.
"Shut up Malfoy!" the red head whose name he could care less yelled, his face turning the same colour as his hair.
"What's this? Its the Rememball that oaf had." he snickered, picking up the crystal ball.
"Give it here Malfoy." Charlus yelled, sticking out his hand.
Draco laughs.
"Nah, I think I'm going to keep it." and Harry has had enough.
"I think it would do you well to give it back to Heir Longbottom, Heir Malfoy. Unless of course you wish for Lady Longbottom to write to your father of such unbecoming behavior for a Noble House, especially towards an Ancient and Noble House." he said, his words making the blonde pale each second. Harry never bothered with his reply and summoned the ball towards himself.
Draco huffed and he put the ball in his bag.
"Hey, give it here!" the Weasley yelled.
Honestly, he knew he had a reason why he hated the boy. He was so much different than his siblings.
"I shall give it to Neville." he stated and went back to his notes, but it seemed the red head wasn't going to let things go.
"Ha! Your a slimy snake. As if anyone would trust you. Your jus-"
"I trust him."
Charlus declaration startled all those there.
The red headed Potter stared at his twin's unmoved formed, hunched over and writing things in a book he always had.
"Good for you." the raven simply sighed.
Harry noticed the changes in his brother. He seemed to be guilty and went out of his way to speak to him, but nothing usually came out and he had better things to do then watch him stumble over his words.
xxxxx
"Harryykins-"
"our favorite snake-"
"how's the-"
"snake pit-"
"treating you?"
The Weasley twins were his frends along with Nevelle. They were funny and knew of his experiments and projects. He also helped a lot with their pranks. Most of the pranks he helped them do, no one would ever track it back to them.
They were brilliant-almost like him, but they said no one was like him. They hide behind prankster masks, but if people were to look deeper, then they would have seen that all the pranks they did, were potions or charms they invented.
"I am fine." he smiled at them, letting go of his cold emotionless mask. Anything else, he realized in his life, was weakness and he was not weak.
"I am almost finished my latest project." and they grinned, knowing what he was talking about.
People might have went into a line to meet Charlus Potter, but they'd chose Harry any day. It pissed them off how the little raven was pushed aside, but it didn't matter to him. Its what they admired. He wouldn't take crap from anyone.
"You know the room on the third corridor-"
"the one we're not suppose to go to?"
"Well we went and-"
"you won't believe what was there!"
Harry looked intrigued. He knew they would go to the forbidden corridor-honestly what was wrong with the Headmaster telling nosy kids not to go somewhere dangerous. He wanted to go check it out, but decided not to.
"What did you find?" he asked and the twins shared look.
"A three-headed dog." they exclaimed and his eye-brows went up.
It was official, the Headmaster was nuts.
He gave them a suspicious look.
"Why are you telling me this?" and their grin honestly scared him a bit. Looping their arms with his, they dragged him away,
"To get past the obstacles of course!"
Why were they friends again?
He'd have to remember.
xxxxxxx
The Philosopher Stone.
Was the Headmaster senile or had the Flamels lost their sanity to their immortality?
He had to think about that.
The obstacles were so simply, it was like someone wanted a person to get the stone. Like a trap. But...surely the Headmaster wouldn't endanger a school full of students just to set a trap?
Whatever it was, he knew he wanted nothing to do with the stone. Picking up his quill and parchment he began,
Dear Nickolas Flamel,
I hope this letter reaches you in good health. I am writing this letter to you to ask if you've gone completely daft over your years in living, or has the Headmaster gone daft and rubbed off on you for using protections that a first year could get past to guard your valuable stone...

Professor Quirrell was the most dramatic person he'd ever met.
And a fraud.
How no one picked up on the fact his was so exaggerated and fake, as well as the fact that he never stuttered when preforming a spell he'd never know.
Common sense wasn't really all that common.
They were being escorted to the library along with the Hufflepuffs-whose common rooms were in the dungeons. Apparently a troll was let in.
"What is that horrible smell?"
He didn't know if it was a Slytherin or Hufflepuff, but they were stopped by the prefects when they heard a large roar. Coming towards them was the troll.
The one that was suppose to be in the dungeons.
"Everyone back to the Great Hall." the Hufflepuff prefect yelled, and was joined by the Slytherin ones in holding back the troll.
The troll didn't want to let them go, and threw his large club towards the back of the group-the first years.
Without a second though, Harry thrust his magic forward, creating a shield that shimmered when the club hit it. It bounce back and he grabbed it with his magic before it touched the ground. Throwing it, it hit the troll square in the face and it fell-unconscious.
All eyes were on him-shock, awe, respect.
He really hated the spotlight.

"Harry, do you know who Nickolas Flamel is?"
He shouldn't be surprised that Charlus would ask him. He and his two lackeys-Weasley and Granger, better known as the Golden Trio-were researching about what could be in the room. They weren't as subtle as they thought they were.
"I should tell you because?"
Weasley scowled and Granger huffed, still believing she knew everything. Charlus looked at him pleading.
"He doesn't know Charlus. Just forget it and we'll look for it ourselves." she glared at him.
"He does know Hermione. He's the smartest person in our year."
Ouch. She looked like she was slapped.
"You are wondering what is on the third floor?" he asked and his twin nodded, as if he knew already.
His brother, was surprising stubborn in wanting to spend time with him.
"Nickolas Flamel is a world renown alchemist for his creation-the Philosopher stone. That's probably what the Headmaster placed there." he said, and then turned to continue his research.
Charlus, though, took it as a sign for him to sit down and explain this crazy theory of how Professor Snape was after the stone and who he tried to kill him at the field.
"Charlus." he interrupted his rant, "It wasn't Professor Snape that tried to kill you, but Professor Quirrell. Professor Snape was saying the counter curse."
"But I saw! I even-"
"Burned his cloak. I am aware." he interrupted her, making her blush. "But you knocked into Quirrell first, and that's what stopped him. Besides, the Headmaster trusts Professor Snape."
It seemed to finally sink into them, the last sentence making them agree.
"So Harry, what are you doing? How are classes?"
Yup, he really just said that. Charlus was indeed a Gryfindor alright and he annoyed him to no end.
"Charlus, leave." he stated looking hims straight in the eyes. He flinch and looked down guilty and stood up to leave. The other two gave him angry looks, but he never cared.
"Come on mate. You don't need him." Weasley said, putting his hand on his back while glaring at him.
Harry for his part completely ignored them and went back to his research. He was stopped, however, when his hands were grabbed, not forcefully but gently.
"I promise I'll make it up to you. I don't know how, or if you'll ever forgive me, but I'll work on it for the rest of life if I have to." the elder twin said smiling and one more squeeze, he let go and walked out.
Harry shook his head.
His mind was not moved
...but his lonely heart that ached had.

Professor McGonagall gave her godson an extra tight hug before she had to let go. The school was currently on break for Yule, but she didn't blame him for not wanting to go home, glad that he would spend it with her.
Hadrian Potter, or just Harry, was by far her favorite student. Not because he was her godson, but because he was a genius. He excelled well in any given course and was glad he excepted an apprenticeship under her for Transfiguration.
She had won the long bloody battle against Fillus, Poppy, Septima, Bathsheda and surprisingly Severus.
Not only did he had an apprenticeship with her and Bathsheda-or Babbling- but he was doing a long term course with Poppy in Healing, as well as the accelerated course in Hogwarts. The accelerated course would have a student do two years of work in a single year.
It was decided that he was take Runes and Transfuguration for two years and then Charms, Artimacy and Potions for the next two.
She had with her his marks for his first year and as she had suspected he had gotten O in each of them. She smiled as she saw his happy face as he spoke with Remus Lupin.
Unlike his friends, Remus hadn't ignored Harry, despite not being his godfather-that was Sirius-he was in awe at what the young boy could do.
"Are you sure?" he whispered as he looked the vile as if it were a scared object.
"Yes. Just drink it and see during the full moon. I'm positive it'll work." Harry nodded enthusiastically, happily accepting the hug he was given.
She smiled.
Harry had at first created a potion where it would curb Remus's wolf, to the point he wouldn't transform but have a large appetite of steak. This potion was one that cure the lynacpothy completely and none of them had an doubts that it wouldn't work.
"Will you be giving it to the Hospital once it works?" she asked and he nodded.
Harry had improved many of the already exciting medicines and even created some as well. She had acted as his 'face' as he didn't want people to know about him just yet and she understood.
"Here are you're results. Remus you are welcome to stay for Yule of course." she said to her former student whom she had grown close to over the years.
"Thank you Minerva." he thanked her.
"Aunt Minnie, can you teach me how to become an animagus?" Harry asked, looking at her expectantly.
"Perhaps when your older dear. But we could see the different animals you'll be able to become." she answered and that had peeked his interest.
"You mean you can choose your animal?"
"Not necessarily. A wizard or witch will be shown four to five animals they can transform into and they'll have to choose one. You can't change into the others once you chose an animal." she nodded.
Harry had a glint in his eye.
"Did you want to chose another animal?" he asked. She sipped her tea mournfully,
"Yes. A lioness, but it stands out. I wish we could simply have the forms."
Remus pinch the bridge of his nose when he saw Harry's expression, but smiled nonetheless.
He had a feeling Minerva's wish would come soon.

Charlus looked everywhere for his brother. He wondered why he never came home from Christmas. It was actually his first time noticing the lack of care and attention his parents paid to their youngest child.
Guilty, he couldn't bring him up once and neither had done so. Smiling, he spotted the raven head in the Library.
"Harry." he called out and was given a small glance. It was start, considering he was ignored most of the time.
"Why didn't you come home from Christmas?" he asked softly, not wanting to sound demanding.
Harry never bothered to look at him.
"Did they notice?" he simply asked and Charlus bit is lip in guilt.
"No." he whispered.
"That's your answer."
Charlus knew he was stubborn and spoiled and believed that he should get whatever he wanted. Funny how the one thing he wanted now was his brother's acceptance. The one thing he couldn't careless about before.
He made a vow though and he'd stick to it.

The Slytherins seemed to have gotten a back bone over the break as almost all of them had surrounded Harry one early morning, wanting to 'teach him his place'.
He raised an eye brow.
"Are you sure this is what you want?"
A spell missing him by an inch and then chaos ensured.
The student and teachers were all wondering what had happened to the Slytheirns as only one person was at their table for breakfast. None of them were brave enough to ask, except a pair of red heads.
"Did something happen?" they asked their raven friend, aware of the looks and silence in the Hall.
Harry gave them a very calm and serious look.
"They got into an accident."
Needless to say, people took the Slytherin's actions and stayed away from him.
xxxxxxx
Harry knew his brother was stupid and such stupidity had increased when he was around that Weasley boy, but he thought Granger's brain would cancel it out.
Instead, the Weasley affected her too.
Having the ward he set up in case his brother went after the fake stone went off, he debated whether he should go or not.
He decided that he should go lest his brother get killed and his parents start focusing on him.
Something he did not want.
Having finally reached the room where the fake was, he was surprised to find Professor Quirrell throwing spells and curses at Charlus, who was desperately trying to avoid getting killed.
Whoever said Charlus Potter was the second coming of Merlin should be called a filthy liar.
He noticed the Professor had stopped and removed his turban, only to show a parasite like face. Harry not wanting to waste any more time, cast a silent stunning spell, making the man drop on the floor. Moments later, a black smoke emerged from his body and screeching, it left through the wall.
"Harry! You're here!" the red head exclaimed and he rolled his eyes at his dramatics.
He quickly went over to the Professor and noticed he was slowly dying. Casting a statis spell on him, he turned to his twin gave him a look over.
"You are not hurt." he sighed, glad he wouldn't be blamed for whatever injuries the savior had gotten.
Charlus, how ever, seemed to interpret it as another thing.
"You-are you asking if I'm alright?" he asked softly and quietly and if he wasn't looking at him, he was sure he would have missed it. Ignoring him, he levitated the Professor.
"Missy!" he called out Poppy's elf and with a pop, she arrived.
"Yes Master Harry?"
"Please take us to the Hospital Wing." he told her and she nodded. With a pop they were gone.
A moment later and the Headmaster entered with the Professors.

Harry looked up from the book he was reading to look out the window. They had finally reached the train station and it was the start of their summer break. He wondered what was going to happen now that he was here, the confrontation was bound to happen.
The Headmaster had obviously asked what had happened, and Charlus had told him everything. He was thanked, but that was all. The Professor had luckily survived, but due to the magical backlash, was reduced to a squib.
He got out of the train, where he was instantly saw his parents and twin. Charlus, being the first to see him, waved him over. James narrowed his eyes at him a bit, while Lily gave him a once over and then focused on Charlus again. The red head was having none of it though and dragged him over.
"Lets leave now." he told his parents and with that they apparated away. Harry never bothered to give them another glance and was happy to go straight to his room, but Sirius seemed to be there.
"Hey, you guys are back!" the dog animagus grinned from his place on the couch.
"Padfoot!" Charlus and James exclaimed, bring him in to a hug. Harry just looked on and then went upstairs, missing Charlus's guilty look.
Harry was surprising called to dinner by Charlus himself. He let himself get dragged by the red head himself. It was very weird as no one spoke until Sirius began.
"So Harry how do you like Gryffindor? Planning on making the team this year?" he grinned. Charlus must have said something to these people or else they wouldn't have even spoken to them.
"I'm in Slytherin and I don't like Qudditch." he said shortly not looking up from his postilion of eating.
Sirius made a choking noise.
"Slytherin?! B-But they're all-"
"There is nothing wrong with Harry being Slytherin!"
Charlus's outburst gets the adults to look at him, not expecting it. Lily speaks up,
"Its not that. We're just worried." He internally scoffs.
"At what?" the red head demands.
"We're a light family Charlus. Its just unexpected for one of us to be in a Dark House." James added.
"Harry is not dark. He's my brother, your son." he snarled and he could tell the adults were wincing.
Harry though had enough.
"Harry is also siting right here." he added softly, giving his twin a blank stare that he sheepishly looked at, "And now Harry is going to leave so you can have your family time." he said standing up.
Charlus, bless his soul, wouldn't give up.
"Wait Harry! You're apart of this family too!" he added pleadingly and this time he scoffed.
"Since when?"
He left and as soon as he was out of the room, he could hear his twin chewing out his parents. He didn't know why, but he liked the attention Charlus gave him. Granted they weren't friends before, but his behavior stemmed mostly because of his upbringing.
He was hardly any better than those children born to Death Eater parents. Would he forgive him? Before he'd say never, but now he wasn't sure. He decided to think about it for another day.
Right now he had other problems to face.
"Tipsy!" he called out and pop, a well dressed elf appeared before him.
"Hello Harry. Is there anything I can help you with?"
This was Tipsy, his personally bonded elf. He had taught her many things and treated her like a friend, for that was what she was. The elf had helped a lot in his projects and experiments. He was sure she was the smartest elf that ever existed.
"Yes, I need your help. What should I take with me to the Flamels for the summer?"
That the end of Year 1. The actual story will begin in the Fourth year. I'll make the second and third years a chapter long each as well. Like I've stated before, this is a twincest fanfic, with a Charlus/Harry pairing. I'll try to minimize the bashing later on. Hope you enjoyed!
