Eyes of burnished gold bore into him.

"I'm prepared."

Kawahira felt a faint sense of amusement. "Is that so?"

The Vongola Decimo eyes shone with determination despite the shock and horror in the faces of those surrounding him.

Kawahira felt his right lip curl up, "Are you willing to prove it?"

The Decimo's eyes narrowed in confusion.

"You claim that the inventor, Talbot, has a solution for the Trinesett that will remove the need for any new Arcobaleno to be made. However the containers needed for this have not finished construction. Furthermore the 8th flame, which is a key component of the solution you've proposed, can only be supplied by the failed Arcobaleno Bermuda who has already displayed a marked desire to destroy the Trineset system. For all of this you want me to stop the battle to replace the current Arcobaleno?"

Kawahira took a step forward. The Sun Arcobaleno leapt in front of the Decimo, gun in hand.

"New Arcobaleno with the exception of the Sky Arcobaleno are selected every few generation to due to the continued pressure of the Trineset straining the bearers flames, and by extension their bodies, beyond recovery. The degree of deterioration is different for each bearer but the uncertainty of the timing for when the flames breakdown makes it far sensible to change the current generation whenever the first sign of wear begin showing in any of them."

Kawahira kicked the Sun Arcobaleno aside, fingers reaching out to grasp the Decimo's chin. "I would be risking the Trineset system collapsing if I waited for your solution to materialise boy."

The Decimo met his gaze fearlessly, face resolute. He repeated unyieldingly, "Please stop the Representative Battle and wait until the Pacifier Jars are completed. There is to be another way."

Kawahira's fingers clenched, bruising the delicate skin of the Decimo.

Around that time, variations of "Tsuna!","Juudaime" and "Boss" could be heard from around the clearing.

He continued conversationally, "That was quite a unique flame you used just now against Bermuda, it felt quite similar to the Night flames."

He smiled down at the boy, "You say it was born from hope? It certainly had quite a wonderful effect on your flames and body."

The boy's eyes widened in shocked comprehension, hyper intuition most likely warning him of what Kawahira had planned. Kawahira released the Decimo's face. "Become the Sky Arcobaleno and join your fate with theirs. I will delay the replacement of the Arcobaleno should you concede."

"No."

A voice broke in, coldly furious. The Sun Arcobaleno leveled a gun at his head, "My student will not become the next Sky Arcobaleno."

The remaining tenth guardians brandished their weapons as well, enraged at the prospect of their Sky being made into a sacrifice. The downed combatants attempted to stand up as well. Xanxus spitting out "Scum" as he tried and failed to rise from the ground. Dino and Byakuran made similar attempts to come to the aid of the Vongola Decimo.

"What are you playing at" Reborn bit out coldly, "You've already threatened to make Tsuna into the Sky Arcobaleno. Becoming an Arcobaleno must require some sort of consent if your trying to get Tsuna to agree with your ridiculous terms."

Kawahira blinked, unperturbed at the overwhelming hostility directed at him. "The little Decimo's new flames seem to work on hope, there is no reason for me to force him into the role if that will damage his new flames."

Reborn shot at him. Kawahira materialised a wall of flames to block the attack. He expanded it's radius to surround them completely. Carelessly disregarding the shouts and explosions that occurred outside it. He turned his attention back to the Decimo.

"Your new flames will most likely reduce the strain on the flames of the existing Arcobaleno. What will you do little Decimo? Will you stake your life on the hope that the jars can be completed in time to save the current Arcobaleno? Or will you abandon them to their fate?"

Uncertainty was clearly displayed on the the Decimo's face, "What will this mean for Yuni and Aria-san?"

Kawahira promised, "You will most likely last very long as the Sky Arcobaleno. That will give the Giglio descendents more years of life than they would usually have been afforded. Yuni will likely live long enough to bear a heir for the Triniset as well."

While the Decimo's eyes burned with rage hearing his plan to use the girl to ensure that more skies were born to the Giglio line. His look of resolve stiffened.

"There will be no need for more heirs to the Triniset," Sawada Tsunayoshi bit out, "I will do it. I accept."

Kawahira smiled predatorily, "Good."
