"Well, class, " The redheaded teacher begins his speech, "First day of school, new teacher, " He turns and puts his name on the board, "I'm Karma Akabane. You may call me Karma or Akabane-sensei, I could honestly care less. I'm your math teacher and PE instructor, so better get used to me." He sits on the corner of his desk in front of the classroom, while the class stares at him. They can't believe what's in front of them… a cool teacher. Never in their years at this dreadful school have they been blessed with a cool teacher. Usually they would have the typical old hag who would just give them work and make them watch videos instead of actually teaching.
"Now, " The teacher grabs a whole stack of huge books, which look very heavy but he makes them look like nothing. Suddenly he stands up on his desk, still holding the books, "I'm gonna throw these books on your desks, anyone who doesn't flinch gets to skip homework for any week this month of their choosing." The teacher says this as if it's normal, while the class erupts into questions and objections. "How are you going to throw those heavy books?!" One girl with blonde curly girl yells, "And what if you hit us?" A purple haired gentleman brings up. Karma responds, "That won't happen. And if it does you can get two weeks off of homework, is that fair?" Everybody shushes and nods. "Why are even doing this?" Another girl, pink hair this time, questions. "Cus it's fun~ Now are you guys ready?" Everybody gulps, sitting back into their seats, preparing to be hit by a book, considering there's no way he could actually throw them.
The teacher scans the room, figuring out where to start. He spots the sleeping boy in the back corner of the room, then smirks. Suddenly a book is thrown off the stack, landing perfectly on the boys desk, causing him to scream as the boy wakes up. Everybody stares at the boy, making him blush from all the stares. The blonde girl from earlier turns violently, "HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!" Karma smirks, without answering, "Well guess screaming counts as flinching, so who's next~?" The room goes silent, now a little fearful of their 'cool' teacher.
Karma quickly throws one book after the other, not missing not even once, saying flinch after every single one. Now he's on the last kid. A lifeless looking boy with eyes that somehow look multi-colored, and hair as white as snow. Strange looking kid, sure, but Karma had a good feeling about him. He throws the book, giving the boy direct eye contact, and receiving the same back. Suddenly, the boy catches the book before it could even hit the desk, keeping eye contact the whole time. The class stares at the boy, all shocked. They had all known eachother since kindergarten, but this guy had just arrived last year and had yet to say a word to any of them. They didn't know what to expect from him, and certainly not that. Karma smirks, jumping off his desk, "Technically you didn't flinch, so good job. No homework for you for a week as promised. Just let me know when you want to use it." The teacher turns around, finally starting to begin the lesson. "Page 132, now." he demands, getting an almost immediate reaction. Having scared the students, they weren't sure what he'd do if they didn't do as told.
…..
"Hello class! I'm Shiota-sensei! I will be your English, and literature teacher this year! I'm also here for homeroom, which you guys didn't have today because of orientation." The, very, short blue haired (male?) stated. He got a glare from all the students, a glare he knew too well. He sighed, "I'm a guy, and no, I'm not a kid. I'm 25." The class looks at the teacher, surprised he knew what they were thinking and shocked by his answer. "How?!" The whole class says, almost instantaneously. Nagisa ignored their question and just changes topics, writing on the board.
"I need to learn your names. So here's a game," The class groans, as they hate these types of things, but they all quickly shut up when the teacher pulls out a rubber knife. "Each one of you is going to state your name and a hobby, then you will try to take this knife away from me." He smiles nicely, which seems a little weird while holding a knife, though it's rubber. "But what do we get?" A strange looking white haired boy asks. Nagisa leans against his desk and thinks, "Whoever can take the knife gets… one free wish. Anything, as long as it's school appropriate, of course." The class talks, getting excited. A group of girls start talking about how they would make him dress as a girl for a day, and some boys were talking about wishing for no class for a whole day. Nagisa looks around, enjoying the optimism.
"Okay, everybody ready?" Almost everyone in the class nods, "Okay, I'll start with you." He points the knife at the purple haired boy, who stands up, a little nervous, but not enough so that it's obvious to the rest of the class. "Okay. I'm Hiro Kazuto, you may call me Hiro. One of my hobbies would be singing." Nagisa didn't expect that to be his hobby, but it was a hobby, nonetheless. "Nice to meet you Hiro." Nagisa smiles. Hiro slings forward in an attempt to get the knife. Nagisa easily dodges, keeping a smile on the whole time, which seemed creepy at the time. Hiro goes with a spur of attacks, not even glazing the knife, or even the teacher for that matter. "I give up!" The boy leans down on all fours, panting. He then gets up and walks back to his desk. "Hmm… this might take too long… I'm going to put a time limit on it. 5 minutes per person." Shiota-sensei adds the additional rules, getting no uprise, having scared his class with his weird skills at dodging.
One by one each student comes up and gives it a try. Not even one of them succeed, or even come close. Eventually, some students decided they didn't want to try to get the knife and just stated their name and hobby instead. A pink haired girl named Leena Willow (She's american) claimed to be an expert puzzle solver, which was strange but interesting to Nagisa. Another student with crimson red hair, stated that she is a paintball champion. The teacher thought she reminded him of one of his classmates from E-class, a certain sniper. Then when he heard the name, he understood. Mei (Pronounced as "May") Hayami, Rinka's kid sister. He had seen her once when she was very young, he didn't mention it though, as the girl was trying to take the knife from him. The girl got closer than any of the other before her, but she was nowhere close to getting it. After the girl ran out of time, she calmly walked back to her desk, obviously a little angry.
"Anyone left?" Nagisa asks, looking around but then spots a certain white-haired boy. "You haven't gone yet!" He looks at the boy who stares back at him with a blank stare. Nagisa tilts his head, inviting the boy to come to him, the boy sighs and gets up. He walks up to the teacher, then Nagisa notices the lifeless eyes he has, almost like he is just "Kado. I like fighting." Nagisa sweat drops at the very simple reply, but he supposes it's not terrible. "Lastname?" He asks nicely, the boy blankly stares at the teacher, "Don't have one." Nagisa gives up on the matter, figuring the boy probably doesn't want to talk about it.
The white haired boy makes his attempt at an attack, missing, but still caught Nagisa a little by surprise. The boys hand grazed the knife, closer than anyone had been, and at his first try. Kado keeps his attacks going, instead of reaching for the knife like the others, however, he's try to get the teacher in a lock or some state of immobilization. Nagisa grew increasingly impressed by the boy. He almost got him a few times, and Nagisa was actually enjoying himself this time, having more of a challenge this time. Not only was the boy disappointed when the timer went off, but so was the teacher, though he tried to not let it show. Kado quietly walks back to his desk.
"Nobody got it, huh? Well that's a shame now isn't it?" A certain red headed teacher walks through the doorway, with a smirk on his face. "Karma! You can't just walk into someone else's class!" Nagisa nags the man, Karma ignores him and instead brings up the reason he came. "Can I challenge you, Sensei~?" Nagisa smirks, Karma notices this and gets ready. "Watch this class." Karma announces before starting his attacks. He kicks the teacher, getting him to flip, but Nagisa just gets right back up, unaffected. Nagisa floor kicks Karma, causing him to fall, he gets on top of him, pointing the knife to his neck. "Oh whoops, I'm not supposed to be attacking.." Shiota-Sensei realizes, as Karma's face becomes that of a devil. Suddenly he surprises the Bluenette and flips him over, taking the knife in the process.
The class stares in disbelief, they had never seen such moves before, and also they couldn't believe someone managed to actually get the knife. "So~ I get one wish, right?" Karma questions in his usual teasing manner, giving Nagisa a hand to get up. "SCHOOL APPROPRIATE." Nagisa reminds him, knowing the dirty, messed up ideas popping in the redhead's head. He frowns, disappointed, but then chippers back up. "Okay… you have to dress as a girl for a whole week." Nagisa rolls his eyes, expecting this from the man. "One day." The bluenette negotiates glaring at Karma, the redhead gladly accepts this and begins searching online for a cute outfit to put him in. He walks out the door, without even saying anything to the class, staring at the phone screen.
"...we should probably start class… okay!" Nagisa turns towards the board and begins his lesson as if nothing had happened.
…..
**NOTE: Just a little extra information to help you visualize, imagine this school is really small, not as small as E-class though, and they are right next to a big forest.**
"Go get changed, it's gym time~" Akabane-sensei laughs as his students groan. Though he loved gym, he knows many people dislike it. That's why he decided that his gym class would be a little different. E-class style (Or at least a less intense E-class). "Everybody in the back of the school!" He yells towards the locker rooms, loud enough so both girls and boys could hear him. He could sense their confusion as he walked away, grinning. He walks past Nagisa, who gives him a knowing glance, having seen one of his gym classes before. Always entertaining, at the very least.
"Why do think we're not going to the track?" The blonde curly haired girl, named Rem Sakura, ask her friend with the pink hair, Leena. "No idea." The girl answers quietly, having reached the crowd surrounding their teacher. "Okay! We're going to be climbing trees," Karma begins, leaving everybody a little shocked, " and depending on how well you do, we might move on to swinging between branches, and eventually between trees." The class erupts into more objections. "Isn't that dangerous?!" Leena yells at the teacher, worried for her and friend's safety. Karma laughs, "Don't worry," He pats her head, causing the girl to blush, then walks back to where has was, "When you're just starting out, I have mats for if you fall. You might get hurt but you won't break any bones. Once you're good enough, I plan on removing the mat, though." The class gulps, staring at the trees before them. Sure, some of them had climbed a tree before, but not that well and not very many times.
Karma grows a devilish grin, watching his class get nervous. "Oh come on~ It'll be fun~" He reassures them with a face full of mischief. Not surprisingly, the class gets more nervous, they all get the feeling that that this is not the only time they are going to be seeing that smirk and put into a dangerous situation. "Okay! We need to start! I want two people on a tree, make sure to help each other if there's any struggle~" The teacher purred as students pair up. He watches as kids start standing by their trees, hesitant, but eventually they start.
Didn't take him long to realize the range of abilities in this class. Several kids went up with no struggle at all, most couldn't even get past the first branch. Kado however… that kid was already at the top in seconds, blankly watching over head as others struggled, not doing a thing to help them. Karma got an idea, seeing as this was too easy for his student, taking off his jacket he climbed up the boy's tree. Only took him seconds, still just as fast as in E-class (He's made sure not to get out of shape). He got up and sat on the perch Kado had been watching from. The class looked up in surprise, not expecting the teacher to do that, or to be so good at it.
"You're moving onto jumping from tree to tree. Just follow me." Karma jumped to the next tree, not even looking at the boy. As he moved, though he wasn't looking, he could sense Kado jumping with him. They kept this up, with no breaks, for the rest of the period. When the bell rang, they both made their way back to the group of students. "Sorry kids!" He said, jumping out a tree, scaring a few students, "Got a little carried away! We got all the way to the edge of the forest there!" He rubbed the back of his head with his right hand, smiling. He heard panting and turned around to find Kado down on all fours, trying to catch his breath. He laughed, patting the boy on the back. "Sorry… that was a little much…" He sweat drops.
The teacher soon notices a certain blue-haired individual standing by the crowd looking upset. "You can't just leave a whole class alone like that!" He scolds the redhead, who just teases him about how serious and professional he sounds. Nagisa eventually gives up, knowing karma's not even listening to him at this point. "Ugh… why are you so difficult?" He points his finger in karma's face, scrunching up his face. "I dunno." Karma responds relaxed, leaning back putting this hands on the back of his head. The class stares at them, seeing their interactions. They already started whispering about their obvious flirting. Nagisa blushed, hearing some of the whispers, and then reminded that students that they have science and need to go. They groaned at first, but then soon started going back inside.
The two teachers watch as their new students leave. They stay quiet for a little while, "I like them." Nagisa comments, glaring up at Karma who smiles, "Me too… I have a feeling this is going to be a fun year." Karma looks down at Nagisa, both smiling, looking forward for the months to come.
