AN-(Greetings, Reader! I'm SilentReaper. Thanks for taking an interest in reading my very first fanfic in existence! Plus I'm new in the site, so please forgive me for making some mistakes and misunderstandings. I hope you enjoy the story! Leave a review, just be fair and kind!)

This story will mainly be about Jaune Arc. Also this is a RWBY x Seven Deadly Sins story! I'm surprised that no one has thought up about this in the community. Pairings are unknown as of yet. Alright, HERE WE GO!

High above the vast mountains of Mistral lies the Arc Mansion. A family of warriors and heroes respected by all in Remnant. Within the mansion are 10 members of the Arc family. A husband, wife, seven daughters and one son.

At this moment, the Vytal Festival, an international festival held every two years, is hosted by the Kingdom of Mistral, and a certain mother was planning on using this event for a great opportunity.

"Vert, he needs to see the world!" The golden-haired woman said,"Keeping him locked up in this mansion will only make him dangerous."

"And you think that bringing him to the Vytal Festival is a good idea!?" Her husband, Vert, stomped his boot on the wooden floor. "Rouge, if people see him and find out about his...his CURSE, it will bring danger to our family!"

"It's not a curse! He can control this gift," Rouge looked back to see her only son, Jaune Escanor Arc, age 5, quivering behind her leg."He'll grow up to be a hero, just like everyone in our bloodline."

"What would happen if Atlas found out about him? They would be all over Remnant trying to contain him!"

"Don't be so paranoid! That will never happen, I won't allow it! This is our only chance to bring him outside."

Vert glared at his wife, then slowly to his son. His forest-green eyes met ocean-blue. Those small orbs just begging him for permission."Please, Love, he needs to experience this..." Rouge pleaded.

He shut his eyes, and made his decision."...Fine. I'll allow it this time. But make sure you go out at night." The man turned and walked to the master bedroom. "Don't forget to bring his sisters along, and keep your weapon close, Rouge." Just please be back safe...

"I promise, Love, an Arc-"

"-never goes back on their word, I know."

As he left, Rouge smiled and looked at her little boy,"Go and play with your sisters, Sweetie. We'll all have more fun tonight."

Little Jaune was practically vibrating with excitement. "Thank you, Mama! I promise that I will become a Hunter! I'll make you and Papa be proud of me, I swear it!" He quickly hugged her leg tight, then turned to the stairs.

Watching her little bundle of joy ran upstairs, Rouge headed towards the basement library. As she walked, she looked at the long hallways of the mansion, filled to the brim with many portraits of their family. She smiled, reminiscing their family's great history.

The Arcs are well known across Remnant, being war-heroes and all. Each and every one of their family are exceptionally skilled in both Aura-Control and Martial-Arts.

This mansion? Great-Great-Grandfather, Espérer Arc, earned it by saving hundreds of lives, both Human and Faunus, during the Great War, which in turn gave them the title of Nobles from both sides.

Their wealth? Great-Grandmother, Désespoir Arc, won many battles during the Faunus Revolution. Her skills defended many lives of the Faunus, and one Faunus family in particular, the Belladonnas, recognized her achievements and rewarded her family with gold.

Deep within the confines of the library lies the ancient weapons and armor of their family. The stone walls held weapons from guns using the wielder's Aura for ammo, all the way to armor that can withstand any damage.

Entering even deeper into the library was where the most kept secrets in the Arc family were stowed away from wondering eyes. Rouge entered the hidden chamber and gazed at the weapons encased in solid glass.

The two most Sacred Treasures of the Arcs, Crocea Mors and Divine Axe Rhitta, stood above the rest by having their own personal pedestals. One being an indestructible sword and shield that proudly displays the the Arc Emblem. The other is a giant, ornate battle-axe with a crescent blade shaped after the moon.

Rouge knew that her son will someday wield those two, no doubt about it. Before that day comes, he must experience what it feels to be human. The Vytal Festival will let him see the strong bonds and joy that the Festival brings, motivating him to defend such peace at all costs. He already wanted to be a Hunter when she read him the vast tales of their family, so her plans of him using his power for good is coming into fruition.

Her smile quickly dwindled on that thought. His power, [SUNSHINE], will forever be with him until the day he dies. Meaning that he can never grow up with a peaceful life. [SUNSHINE]'s origin of how it became part of the Arc bloodline are unknown, only described in a journal that was passed on generation to generation in case it made itself known in the bloodline.

She headed towards a glass container holding an old yet ageless journal. The large journal was written by the very first Arc, Escanor Arc. The journal was thought to be a fairy tale of the adventures of Escanor, and how he coped with such power. But not Rouge. She believed the stories in journal to be true, and her son was proof of that. She opened to the first page and read his past.

Escanor wrote down that as a child, he grew up being bullied by his older brother. Ever since the day that his power came forth, he unintentionally broke his brother's arm and was disowned by his own family, to be treated as a monster who deserves only death. A woman named Rosa helped him escape the kingdom, and ever since then he wandered around the land until he was asked to join a group, meeting his allies and very first friends.

~-At the some nights, when I was shamefully in my weak form, I ponder as to what had happened to that woman and why she had helped me. I spent a few days searching for her after my allies and I were separated for 12 years. The search was naught but a waste of time, however. I do hope she has heard of my famous tales.-~

On his journey, he described the world called Britannia, a large continent of land that existed way before Remnant. He described his first love, how he came to be, his adventures, and his relationships with his allies. The journal indicates that Britannia was filled to the brim with 8 races, including Humans and the very first Faunus.

It was surprising how detailed Escanor described Britannia. Although he did wrote down that he was a poet in his adventures. He wrote down that the world was separated in clans.

There was The Human Clan- The very first civilized humans that existed before the discovery of Aura, Dust, or any mecha-shift weapons. They're technology isn't quite advanced yet, so they're just regular farmers/villagers living in the world.

~-Most humans are quite fearful of the other races, while others are arrogant enough to believe that they are the superior race. HAH! To have believe that and still won't have enough power to fight me? It almost made me be ashamed to be the same race as such weaklings.-~

The Beastmen Clan- The first ancestors of all Faunus in Remnant. Their appearance at the time was described to be anthropomorphic animals. It seems that they weren't treated well by the humans, just like the Faunus of today. The kingdom at that time even made an expedition to capture them and use them for slave labor, even the children. Quite cruel.

~-An ally of mine, Ban, told us that he was raised by a single Fox-man disguised as a human in his childhood. The man taught Ban the ways of thievery and the cruel reality of living in the Underworld. He's also the one that made Ban an alcoholic in the first place, and told him the tale of The Fountain of Youth, which Ban eventually found and met his lover, Elaine. Such a shame that I would never meet the supposed father that raised him. I wonder how Ban is doing right now?-~

The Giant Clan- A clan of giants with their fighting prowess and spirit that were unmatched by any of the other races. They are well connected to the Earth and have a skill exclusive to their kind called {Creation} to manipulate the ground beneath their feet. They decided to hide away from the world after a "Second Holy War". Does the race still roam somewhere in Remnant?

~-Diane, another ally of mine, was a fellow member of the Giant Clan. Unlike the rest of her fellow brethren, she hated fighting when she was as child. At a young age she ran away and stumbled upon another ally of mine, King, and were able to befriend one another. Many things have happened since their meeting, with her memory loss and then regain said memories, being in love with another man, being trained by the previous Giant King, and such. I miss her optimistic behavior dearly.-~

The Fairy Clan- Miniature humanoids varying different appearances and insect like wings on their backs. They rarely show themselves to humans because the humans believed that their wings can revive the a loved one, causing them to hide in fear. The journal says that they lived in an ancient forest called the Fairy King's Forest, which was burned down and made anew by Ban's immortal blood. Maybe the forest still exists? Who knows.

~-Ban loved to mess with King, even though he was the Fairy King. He especially loved to mock him by the insignificant size of his supposed "Fairy King Wings", which were the size of my thumb! Hoh hoh! Those two have quite the unique friendship...-~

The Vampire Clan- Fortunately extinct, served under the Demon Clan during the "First Holy War", and were killed off by Escanor and his allies. Escanor stated that he personally fought the Vampire King Izraf himself and pitied his existence before his demise. The vampire even apologized and begged Escanor to let him live, but he was just swiftly killed without mercy . Pitiful indeed.

~-I have no mercy for those who believe to be stronger than I. These scum were only waiting for death to come. And here I am.-~

The Druid Clan- Forest-dwelling people who served under the Goddess Clan. They're described as the philosophers and sorcerers of the forest, and the only distinction between them and the humans are their white/silver hair.

~-I wasn't there at the time, but when Meliodas was trying to gain control of his Wrath he, Elizabeth, and a few others went on a trial to become strong with the help of the Druids. I do wish to test how powerful they are with their powers. Such an opportunity never came...-~

Rouge took a moment to stop reading. Speaking of white/silver hair, isn't there a family with that hair color? The See? The Skree? Meh, she'll think about that topic later.

The Demon Clan- Monsters that are FAR worse than the Grimm. Instead of their skin being all black like the modern Grimm, the demons are ranked by color and some sort of black markings. They were led by a group called the "Ten Commandments" and the Demon King. They waged a war against the Goddess Clan, who were allied with the Giant, Human, and Fairy Clans.

~-They're not as powerful as everyone made them to be. Why must the clans be scared of such simple creatures? Such a shame that these supposed powerful entities have to face me.-~

Escanor wrote down a few more notes of what had happened at the Second War, but it just suddenly stopped mid-way. Was he busy?

Finally, The Goddess Clan- Powerful angelic beings that exist in the Heavens. Each angel is ranked by the amount of wings they have on their backs. They are governed by a holy power called the Supreme Being. As their clan name suggests, they are mostly female, although males do exist among them.

Rouge can tell that Escanor heavily disliked the Goddess Clan by the way he described them.

~-They're pitiful weaklings who believed to be superior than all of the races combined. And they DARE try to take my power away from me? It was a foolish choice for us to be allies with such fools, but alas the choice was not mine. Heh, I can fight the Demon Clan all by myself!-~

Escanor described how they had defeated the Demon Clan a second time, along with major casualties. The description stopped the same way with the Demon Clan description, what ever happened?

Details of another world aside, Rouge skipped a few more pages until she stopped at the desired section. The description says that [SUNSHINE] was a blessing given to an Archangel by the Supreme Deity, and it somehow ended up being Escanor's power. Reasons as to why and how weren't written down, which frustrated her at first.

However, he wrote down details of his powers and how he controlled them.

~-[SUNSHINE] gives me the ability to gain power straight from the sun itself and it grows stronger as the day passes.-~

Escanor noted that he is at his weakest at midnight, and his power peaks at high-noon.

~-There are two techniques that can be used with [SUNSHINE].-~

~-{Cruel Sun}- The ability to create a miniature sun at will. This created so much heat that it melts armor inferior to mine. It can increase in size as the user's power grows.-~

~-{Pride Flare}- A more powerful version of {Cruel Sun}. The user can flare up {Cruel Sun} with heat so intense that it can vaporize a sizable lake in an instant.-~

~-Note- At high-noon, the user becomes an entirely different being dubbed [The One]. Only use this form for major emergencies.-~

~-[The One]-The ultimate reincarnation of raw power. No attack can injure nor kill the user, the only downside is that it lasts only for a minute. It's been a while since I've last used this form, and I vastly hurt my puny form as a result. I resorted to using this form when I had to fight Meliodas. No time to explain.-~

~-There's only one technique that can only be used in this form. And I proudly dubbed it {Divine Sword Escanor}, after me, of course. No simple tools used, just one swipe of my hand and it can split the entire continent in two if it weren't for Merlin's {Perfect Cube}!-~

"Merlin? He did say that his heart was stolen by a woman of that name. Was she a lover of his?" Rouge pondered. "So much questions, and yet so little answers..." she mumbled to herself.

Why did the power appear again after so many generations?

Why must her son carry such a burden?

Was this a sign of something big happening?

She groaned and slapped her hands on her face in frustration. Slowly opening her fingers, her eyes wondered towards Divine Axe Rhitta, standing tall with power. It was the very same weapon that Escanor used a millennia ago. It has no fancy transformations like the modern-weapons of Hunters today.

Approaching the axe, she inspected the Sacred Treasure. Every time she looks at it, it was just astonishing. The axe was gigantic! It was even taller than her Vert, who stood at solid 7 ft.! And Escanor said that it was supposed to be a one-handed weapon?!

The axe was also so heavy that only the strongest of the Arcs were able enough to lift it, meaning herself and her husband at the same time, and they had to use both their hands to carry it here. By the end of the day the day they were so tired out that they haven't gotten out of the mansion for 2 days. Her son was going to carry THAT!?

At least Crocea Mors can be easy to travel around!

Honestly, deep down Rouge, too, is frightened by such a power deep within her son. But unlike her husband, she instead focused on the benefits of the gift. She wanted Jaune to go outside the world and use that power to eliminate Humanity's enemy once and for all. The Grimm.

She won't allow this power go over his head, he must learn compassion. There's still time to lead him towards the path of heroism. Speaking of time, Rouge looked at her scroll and saw that its already sundown.

Heading out of the library, Rouge promised herself that Jaune will become the hero that he is destined to be. An Arc never goes back on their word!
