Chapter 4: Freedom

Mukuro came back after being experimented. "Oi, what did they do to your eye?" Tsuna asked while pointing at the bandaged right side of Mukuro's face. "I don't know." Mukuro answered, "Hurts like hell."

"I met two kids while waiting on my turn. They're quite interesting." Mukuro said. "Oh? What are their names?" Tsuna said absentmindedly. "I think it's Joshima Ken and Kakimoto Chikusa." Tsuna hummed. He remembers them. The loud blond and the glasses guy with a barcode on his face.

"So, when will we start our plan?" Mukuro asked. "I don't know yet but something tells me that something bad will happen. I don't know when but I think it will be soon." Mukuro frowned at that.

The cell door suddenly opened, "Sawada Tsunayoshi, come with me." Tsuna narrowed his eyes, his intuition was telling him that that coming with that man is dangerous but rejecting it would be more dangerous. He sighs, it seems like there's no choice.

The man leads him to the usual lab but the doctor inside is different, more dangerous. "Ah Tsunayoshi-kun, long time no see." Tsuna narrowed his eyes, "Who are you?" The doctor chuckled, "Well I suppose you wouldn't know me, you were just a newborn baby back then anyway."

"Why did you call me here?" Tsuna asked. The doctor leaned forward, "Do you want to know about the reason on why you have Cloud Flames instead of Sky?"

Tsuna was surprised, many questions came into his mind. 'How? Who is he? Did he have something to do with that?' His thoughts are complete mess. The doctor is staring amusedly at Tsuna, "Well judging from your expressions, I suppose it's a yes" He chuckled, "Hold him down."

Tsuna was snapped out of thoughts when the guards sat him on a chair then cuffed him. Tsuna tried to move around but it's no use. "Let's start first with your father. Do you know that he is in the Mafia?" Tsuna clicked his tongue, "I already know that."

"I know. Continuing, that man killed my family. He murdered them all. That's why I'm taking my revenge on his son. Injecting a poison that could seal any flames, good thing that the bastard was late for a day so he didn't feel the slight flicker of your Sky Flames. He was left heirless. Without your Sky Flames, he has no heir. But then we overlooked one thing, after two years he is able to have a son with Sky. It is so frustrating that we can only rejoice in two years. Then he sold you to us, a completely idiotic move on his part. When I heard about the news, I couldn't wait to try some experiments on you and my opportunity comes today."

The doctor smirked evilly, he will have his chance to prove to that man that he had done something do idiotic. "Put him on the table and strap him, make sure he can't escape." The guards did what they were told. Tsuna is struggling but they tightened the straps. "I wonder if you'll be like what they say."

He started injecting Tsuna some liquid. Tsuna screamed, the pain is much worser than the experiments before. "Excellent reaction!" the doctor happily said. "I wonder if you can take some more shots"

He is always pleased by Tsuna's reaction, it is until the fifth shot that Tsuna spoke, "S-stop, please" He couldn't take it anymore the pain in his body is unbearable, he can feel his life slipping away. 'No, I still need to escape, Mukuro is still here. We still have to taste our freedom, I can't die.' He thought.

Just as the injection was near, he felt warm in his gut. Like a flame wanting to burn brightly. Tsuna allowed the flame to burn more. His whole body is now hot. Just as he felt the tip of the injection, something exploded.

The Varia was just outside the Estraneo Base, scouting the perimeters, when an explosion occurs. "Voi! What's that, are those Sky Flames?!" Squalo shouted. "Ushishishi, seems like it, but to whom could it be?" Bel said while looking amused. "Muu, it must be from the brat were supposed to get."

From their spot they can see Xanxus smirking, 'Sky Flames huh, I can also sense strong Cloud Flames in it. Even more perfect.' "Oi scums, you can do whatever you like and make sure to bring the brat" Xanxus orders. The members spread out doing their own part, Xanxus just sat in his throne.

Mukuro woke up when the explosion occurred. 'Tsuna!' he thought. Clicking his tongue, he thinks of a way to get out of the cell. After half an hour, the metal door opened. He quickly raised his guard up. Then he saw an unfamiliar man with a stylish haircut. 'He is not a guard here clearly, so who is he?' "Ara, how heartless of them. Don't worry, I'm going to help you out" Lussuria said. With one swift quick, the cell door next to him broke allowing the kids to escape, one girl went to Lussuria to thank him, hugging him. When Mukuro came to him, he asked "Who are you and what is your purpose here?"

"We are the Varia and we are ordered to get a child here. You can go with them now, it is dangerous here little boy." Lussuria answered him. 'Varia? The Vongola must've sent them here.' Mukuro then realized something, 'If the Vongola sent them here then Tsunayoshi must be the one they're here for!' alarmed, Mukuro rushes out to find Tsuna. Lussuria looking surprised about the kid. 'So strange, I can sense a powerful Mist Flame.'

Tsuna opened his eyes, he saw bright orange flames around him. He checked himself and saw that he is completely unharmed from the flames. He realized that the explosion came from him, putting the thought aside, he sets out to help Mukuro and the other kids. He turned around to see if there are guards but all of the people in the room, except for him, are burned to death. While running around, he was attacked more than twice. Tsuna sent a burst of Cloud Flames to their way, completely burning them alive. He didn't know why he cannot use his Sky Fames anymore but it must be because of the seal, not completely destroyed. He heard some screaming down the hall, he went over there and saw a long-haired man slicing some guards with his sword, screaming. "Where is the brat?!" The guards tried to scramble away screaming I don't know but Squalo instantly killed them.

He sensed a strong Sky Flame, turning around, he saw a nine-year old kid. He smirked 'He must be the one' "Who are you?" Tsuna asked, raising his guard up, his eyes darting everywhere for an escape. "Who we are doesn't matter! You'll come with us!" Tsuna's intuition told him that the man can be trusted, he slightly let his guard down. "Can you help us escape?" "Of course, brat!" "Can my friend come with us?" Squalo looked at those expectant amber eyes. Squalo couldn't help but give in to those pleading eyes. "Fine, if the shitty boss agrees." Damn, he must be getting soft if he agreed to a brat. Tsuna brightened, "Then come with me, I need to find him." Squalo followed him 'Why the hell did I agree?!' Yep, he's really getting soft.

After running into several men, they managed to find Mukuro with two other kids. "Mukuro!" Tsuna called him, relief flashing in his eyes. "I'm glad you're safe. C

ome on, we need to get out of here." He grabbed Mukuro's hand then ran towards the exit. The two kids and Squalo following behind them closely. "Tsunayoshi, who is he?" Mukura asked. "Don't worry, my intuition said that he can be trusted." "Okay then"

When the entrance is within their eyes, Tsuna stretched his hand out as if reaching for the long-awaited freedom. They both opened the door and almost cry out of relief and happiness. They were finally free, they can finally feel the fresh air, feel the grass below them. Tsuna collapsed on the ground. Fatigue overtaking him, along with the others. "Thank you mister for helping us!" He turned to Squalo, smiling gratefully. "Like I said brat we were told to get you out from here!" he shouted. Mukuro stood in front of Tsuna "You're one of the Varia aren't you, what do you want with him?" he asked. "I don't know about our boss plans!"

Tsuna touched Mukuro's shoulder, "It's alright, we can trust them. I'm sensing no danger from them." Mukuro look at those eyes, then sighed. Tsuna looked at Squalo "He's the one I'm talking about. Can he come with us?" Tsuna asked Squalo. "The shitty boss will be the one to decide! Come on we'll meet him now!"

He guides the kids to his boss, when Xanxus was on his sight he shouts, "Voi! The mission is done now and the brat is asking a favour!" "Shut up, trash! You're too loud!" "Ushishishi, looks like white-haired commander is late." "Ara, he's the little boy that I saw." "Mu, I sense a strong Mist Flames in that boy."

Tsuna looked at Xanxus, "are you their boss?" "So what if I am,brat?" Xanxus answered him. "Can they stay with us? If you don't want to then I'm not coming with you. You struck me as the kind of guy who don't want to have any failed missions, so me not coming with you means that your mission failed." He looks at Xanxus, determination is shown in his eyes. Xanxus studied them and then the other kids, they look promising enough and failure is really not in Xanxus lists of to do, so he agreed. Tsuna smiled at him then suddenly passed out due to fatigue. He didn't know the rest that happened later on.
