Chapter 1
Luna Lovegood-Malfoy came down the stairs gracefully with a backless gold dress that embraced her slim body perfectly. Her elegant blond curls fell on one shoulder. Her husband watched with eyes full of love and adoration. Even after giving birth to three sons Luna still looks very pretty and young, her face is not much changed still looks dreamy, however, she looks more mature, physically and mentally.
Draco smiled gently at his wife, even after marrying nearly 17 years; his love for her didn't diminish in the slightest. Strangely, he fell in love with her again, it was probably the strangest feeling he had ever felt, but he enjoyed it. The butterflies in his stomach, his heartbeat pounding every time he saw her, a strange sensation all over his body every time he touched her, he enjoyed it all. Oh, Merlin, he really in love.
He took her hand and kissed it lightly before pulling her close and whispered hoarsely. "You look bloody fantastic." He presses their lips, giving her a light kiss, he doesn't want to ruin her lipstick, otherwise if he gets too carried away, they will probably end up half naked and their sons watching them in horror and disgust.
Suddenly their eldest son growled as they showed their intimacy. "Father, Mother, you better do it in a more enclosed place," Scorpius said, blushing.
He knows that his parents fall in love with each other. And having loving parents is the greatest thing that ever happened to him, unlike his friends whose parents were together because of a piece of parchment and their togetherness just for the benefit of each family. He feels lucky to be born into this family, so warm, so welcome, so caring, and where love is the best thing. But he certainly doesn't want to admit it, he better go hunt Nargles and Wrackspurt with Grandfather Xeno than have to admit it out loud.
"Oh, my princes, you look so handsome today," Luna said, leaving her husband's side and cupping her sons' face one by one and kissing their cheeks, leaving lipstick stains on their cheeks.
"Mother, I think you should stop using lipstick, they're really bad," Lysander said, wiping his cheek elegantly with a handkerchief.
"They actually look good on women, but when they stain cheek, they're just horrible," Lorcan said, wiping his cheek with the back of his hand.
Lysander and Lorcan are 14 this year and will start their fourth year at Hogwarts in a month. They are perfect copy of Draco, except for their nose, they have Luna's nose. They have platinum blonde hair like Draco's. But they have a slightly different hairstyle, while Lysander likes to slick it back like Draco, Lorcan prefers slick it aside. They are both sorted in different houses, Lysander in Ravenclaw and Lorcan in Slytherin.
And their oldest son, Scorpius, is 16 years old and will start his sixth year. He is also a perfect copy of Draco. Their sons resemble Draco in appearance. He has Luna's eyes, blue, as blue as the ocean. He has platinum blonde hair and always slicked back. Luna's personality is inherited by Scorpius, he is always curious, always interested in many things, he likes to adventure, he is also good at painting and playing music especially piano, very artistic, he is good at Potions and Defense Against the Dark Arts. However, he can also be arrogant and cold like Draco if he wants to. While Lysander inherits Draco's personality, full of himself, a bit arrogant, a womanizer, he's good at Potions and Charms, he actually good at everything, he's Ravenclaw after all, that's what he always says. And Lorcan, he's practically a mixture of Draco and Luna, it's hard to explain, you can think for yourself how his personality, full of surprises.
"Stop complaining about your Mother's lipstick, you guys like to use it when you're younger, I have your pictures if you don't believe me," Draco said, helping Luna with her coat.
Luna chuckled remembering how their sons find their way to their room and play with her make-up. They look pretty though.
They growl and leave their parents before their conversation farther and end with them humiliated by their father.
While they were on the carriage to the Ministry for the Summer Ball, Lysander recalled that their father promised to take them around Europe before they returned to Hogwarts.
"Father, do you really mean it when you say you will take us around Europe?" Lysander finally asked.
"Yes, how about that, Father? You never talk about it again," Lorcan chimed in, staring intently at his father.
"We'll leave tomorrow," Draco replied casually as he stroked his wife's hip.
"What? Why don't you ever say anything? I haven't packed yet," said Scorpius suddenly panicked. They will go abroad tomorrow and he hasn't packed yet. What if he forgot to bring something, like a comb? Merlin will not let that happen.
Draco growled. Having three boys is very tiring. "Don't bring a lot of clothes, you probably will buy a lot of clothes when we arrive, maybe even your grandmother will lose against you all," Draco said. "This should be our second honeymoon," he said as he watched Luna.
"We volunteered to come with you," Lorcan said with a grin. Lorcan overheard his mother and father's conversation about Europe and he and his two brothers volunteered to accompany them.
"Come on, Draco, it'll be fun having the boys around. It has been a very long time we went on vacation together, last time we went on vacation together when we went to Africa," Luna said softly and sweetly and made Draco soften like tofu.
This is why they always take refuge in their mother if something upset them. Their Mother is the sweetest human being. In second place is Grandmother Cissy, she always spoils them, giving them whatever they wants. And Grandmother Pandora would be second place with Grandmother Cissy if she were alive.
"And when Father stepped on hippo poop," Lysander said, holding back his laughter. He wouldn't forget how his father's face that looked so funny when his foot landed in a pile of hippo poop.
"And he had to throw away his shoes because they were drowning in poop," Scorpius said with a laugh and Lorcan followed.
What a beautiful memory.
"Right, laugh as much as you can," Draco said dangerously. "There's a price to pay."
Luna smiles at her sons and her husband. She never dreamed of ending up with Draco Malfoy and having wonderful sons with him, too good to be true, she thought as she watched them with a warm chest. She will always be cherishing this moment, where Draco can be himself, laughing and joking without fear of his reputation.
She wrapped her arms around his waist and rested her head on his shoulder.
Draco looked down at her; he tightened his arm around her waist. "What is it, love? You feel okay?" He whispered in alarm. Luna hasn't been in condition good since yesterday, and it scares him. But part of him says that she is pregnant, he sees the same signs when she is pregnant with Scorpius and Lysander and Lorcan. He doesn't mind if she gets pregnant again, really, he'll be happy. They may be able to have a baby girl, a baby girl who looks like Luna.
"Of course, silly," she replied with smile. And if it's someone else who calls him silly, he will hexed them to the moon and back, but this is Luna and she is the exception, even if she calls him 'worthless piece of shit' he will still love her, although he doubts Luna will talk like that.
The Malfoys has arrived at the Ministry and was greeted by the one and only, Lucius Malfoy.
"You're late," Lucius hissed, but his eyes softened at the sight of his daughter-in-law and grandsons.
"I have difficulty in choosing a dress. I want to wear an orange-colored dress but that will attract the Nargles," Luna said as she removed her coat.
Lucius looked at Luna in disbelief but he smiled, he had a weak spot at his daughter-in-law. Suddenly his eyes turned to Draco. "Next time come on time and stop making a dramatic entrance," he urged Draco.
"I learned from the best," replied Draco indifferently, then his cold eyes move to his sons. "Three of you go find a young lady you can dance with. I don't want to see you standing at the end of the room like a bloody broom," Draco said to his three sons.
"Listen to your Father. Didn't you ever go on a date?" Lucius asked. He's really proud of how all his grandsons look, very handsome and looks like aristocratic, none of the girls here will say no to them.
The three of them shook their heads innocently.
"Dear Merlin, not even once?" Draco asked in surprise. And once again they just shook their heads. "When I was at Scorpius age I was dating more than a dozen girls," he said proudly and arrogantly. "But I only have eyes for your Mother," he added as Luna tilted her head at him.
"We'd better go, the others must be looking for us," Luna said. "Have fun three of you," she said as she hooked her arm with Draco's and left their three sons with his grandfather.
Lucius took a long breath. "Don't make me make a marriage arrangement," he said quietly.
"What? I'm only fourteen," Lorcan said in horror. He loves his grandfather so much but he is really bad in choosing a bride, his father said so and he agrees.
"I've never dated but I have stock of girls for my pleasure only," says Lysander with a smirk.
Scorpius snorted. "I really don't want to hear this," he said, he picked up a glass of Champagne from a waitress. "Where's Grandmother?"
"She's dancing with your Grandfather Xeno," Lucius said. "Go and mingle with the others."
Three of them huffed and went in different directions.
Scorpius ignored his father's words. He went to the far end of the room and stood there, hiding. He really doesn't want to be here right now. He just wants to be at home, lying on the soft carpet with his brothers listening to his mother story or hearing his father scolding them for defacing their robes by lying on the carpet.
He stifled his laughter as he saw his twin brothers surrounded by several girls. They aren't good at escaping, he thought amused. Lysander smiled awkwardly and tried to become a gentleman as their father always taught them. While Lorcan, he looks quite distracted and he can see he stomped his foot quietly, a habit he has since he was able to stand on his own feet, it a sign that he is upset.
His mind was disturbed when he heard two women talking too loudly. He took a few steps back to hide when he heard his parents' names escaping from their mouths. They talked about his parents, how dare they, he thought irritably. He doesn't like when people talk about his family. What do they know? Certainly nothing.
"I can't believe Luna married Malfoy. Of all people, she chose Malfoy, really, after what he did to her during our school days." A brown-haired woman tells to a black-haired woman who has an oriental face.
The black-haired woman sighed. "Yeah, that's hard to believe, but this is Luna, she can see what others cannot see," she said, sounding softer than a brown-haired woman.
"They have been together since Malfoy was in the sixth year, and none of us know," the brown-haired woman said in disbelief.
"Maybe it's because they're so different so no one expects them to have romantic feelings for each other," the dark-haired woman muttered, her eyes staring at the blond couple who were dancing.
"They're different from every aspect, but yet, they're the sweetest couple in the Wizarding World," the brown-haired woman said, sipping her Champagne.
"Opposite attract," the black-haired woman nodded approvingly.
Scorpius' blue eyes turned to his dancing parents. There was a lovely smile on his mother's face, his father seen that he wasn't smiling at all, but he knew better. His father's eyes can't lie, it shines with unconditional love. Even the way his father held his mother had shown enough that they were really in love, no one doubted it.
He knows the history of his father and his mother, how they can be together. And even his mother agrees that he and his father are two very different people. The unlikely couple, that's what they call his parents. His mother is the sweetest creature; she will kiss his knee and twin brothers' when they fall from their broomstick and heal them while hugging them and singing a lovely song, and treating them like her little princes. And their father will dare them to fall over and over again, and treat them like men instead of boys, but he'll treat their wounds in the end. But he doesn't know what his father has done to his mother during their school days; they never say anything about it.
He jumps a bit as someone taps him on the shoulder, he closing his eyes in annoyance. He turned and found Lorcan, apparently he had escaped. "What are you doing here?" He asked, his grey eyes turning to the two women he had been watching. Lorcan grinned. "Do you like an older woman?"
"What? No, don't be silly," Scorpius spat, straightening his tie.
"Then why are you watching them like that? Wait until Father hears about this," Lorcan said with a wide grin."He'll be furious."
"Whatever, Lorcan, Mother will be there to protect me," he rolled his eyes. "Let's go, we have to find someone to dance before Grandfather Lucius picks us a partner." He said at the sight of Lysander having been on the dance floor with an expression that didn't look at all pleased with his dancing partner.
The next day, the Malfoy brothers wait downstairs with their suitcases, they are ready to leave. Their first destruction is Paris, before they started their holiday, they would attend a Ball at the France Wizarding World.
Lysander tapped his foot impatiently; they had waited for about 30 minutes. "I'm getting increasingly impatient," Lysander said with a scowl.
"That means you're getting old," Lorcan replied, twisting his wand.
Lysander made a face. "We're the same age, Lorcan," he mocked.
"Silent, both of you," Scorpius snarled.
"Why so tense, Scorpius? Have you just been dumped?" Lysander scoffed. "Lorcan told me you liked an older woman."
Scorpius looked at Lorcan in disbelief. He thinks he's just joking when he assume he likes older women. He doesn't believe that he told Lysander, and only Merlin knows who else heard his lie.
Lorcan merely shrugged innocently. "I only say what I see."
"If Father hears about that, you're so dead," Lysander said dramatically.
"Oh, shut up, Father will know it's not true," Scorpius said indifferently. He put his hand in the pocket of his trouser and frowned as he found something. "What's this?" He said as he pulled a gold necklace. His eyes studied the weird necklace.
"I think it's obvious that it's a necklace," Lysander replied lazily.
"Let me see," Lorcan said, grabbing a necklace from Scorpius. He watched it and played with the pendant. "I think I've seen this before."
Lysander agreed, the necklace looked familiar to him. He's seen it somewhere. Then his Ravenclaw brain works when he sees the pendant. His eyes grew in horror. "Lorcan, stop it!"
But before anyone could react, they disappeared with their suitcases and landed in a familiar corridor.
