YukinaAkio - Sorry if the update was later than you hoped. I'm a slow and mediocre writer trying her best for your entertainment. ;) Glad you enjoyed it!

Oka - Um.. do you mean the Kidou/Desuta scene? Dress up Kidou time is over. Did you like that chapter?

Andipxndy - That means so much to me! Thanks ;) Round and Round and Round she goes. Where this plot goes? No one knows.

Author Notes: This story has gotten so much support since the last chapter post. Thank you everyone!

The demon guard lead Gouenji down the dark hallway. As they continued to walk, the walls started to narrow down and cave in. the heavy weight of fear pushed against Gouenji's chest, almost suffocating him figuratively. He was being lead into the unknown, farther into the depth of hell that very few humans lived to view. It was an aweing yet terrifying experience for such a young boy.

The further they walked into hell, the more nervous Gouenji became.

Where in hell am we going? Maybe I can pry a bit of information off this guy.

"So, this is all new to me. Care to share where exactly you are taking me?"

"..."

"Not the talkative type are ya?"

The demon's only response back was an cold glare toward the fire striker. Then, silence followed back into the halls. The creaking of a door added to the animosity of the situation. Without Gouenji noticing, the guard had opened a huge wooden door for him as a invitation to enter.

Gouenji looked at the taller guard before proceeding to walk into the room. When he walked in, he was greeted with a familiar face aka Desuta himself.

The room was dimly lite, fire torches illumining the stone ceiling. On the other side of the room stood the demon leader Desuta.

"Greetings mortal boy. You must be curious as to why you are here with me, the almighty Desuta! Well, you are in luck. Your little 'friend' have requested you to be his messenger."

Messenger? Why does Kidou need a messenger?

Gouenji quickly scanned the room for any potential warning signs but saw none. Desuta could try to light him on fire, but he doubted that. So, he entered into the room and sat in a wooden chair underneath one of the fire torches.

"If I am a messenger, where is Kidou? I can't be a messenger without a message to carry."

"Ha! I'm not going to tell you where he is that easily. Not yet at least... You must do something for me first."

"So, what can I do for you?" asked Gouenji curiously.

Immediately after Gouenji spoke his last word, Desuta quickly replied as if he had planned his response way beforehand."Are you really that naïve? I wanted to ask your what your favorite color might be? For real? You're here because I have a question about the boy."

Gouenji raised one of his eyebrows, showing a shocked expression. "What might that be?"

"Why has the beautiful eyed boy chosen you out of all his friends to be here? I'm curious to know the reason." replied Desuta.

Tension struck Gouenji when hearing that Kidou was called beautiful; or at least, that is who Gouenji thought Desuta had referred to. He didn't expect that in their conversation. Desuta really does have a weakness and that weakness was compassion; time to exploit it. "Beautiful? Seems you have grown fond of Kidou as well. He has that kind of effect on people."

"Of course, his eyes are stunning. His eyes are as crimson as the blood which boils within him. You will never realized what beauty you had been bless with having."

"Is that jealousy I hear in your voice oh mighty demon captain?"

Desuta had zero reaction to Gouenji's comment. But, Goeunji knew that it phased him a bit. "Of course not, I just want to know what makes you so special? Have any special relation with him? Does he owe you a favor?" Is there more here that meets the eye?

"It doesn't matter why Kidou has chosen me. All we..I..care about is his safety! Where is he?"

"He is in my gentle care, mortal. We had a lovely conversation together before meeting here. Nothing that you must known about. Fear not, he is dressed and prepared for the sacrificial ritual for my lord."

"This sacrificial ritual is plain dumb thing to begin with. Can't you leave us out of it? Just, let Kidou go free! What do you have to gain from all this?"

"Glory! Power! Prestige. I have everything to gain from this. At the rightful side of my lord, I'll stand and watch you crumble to dust. Crying in agony over the loss of those you hold most dear. Imagine it! Your family, friends, lovers, all crying in pain as life is sucked from their cold bodies."

What a sadist this guy is..

"Oh! What a wonderful sound. Your screams will be symphony to my ears." Desuta paused for a brief second for dramatic effect. "Seems like I've already own someone dear to you." finished Desuta. He wrapped his arms around himself, enjoying the dream that would soon become reality. "I will not let your friend go freely. Through the devouring of his soul, he will begin a new era of reign!"

Gouenji abruptly stood up from his chair, pointing a finger straight into Desuta's face. "You are a maniac! We will find a way to stop you before it all happens. You will fail!

"How dare you talk back to me in such a manner after all I have done for you! I have brought you to one of the most exclusive places on this world. I have been polite and have shown you kindness. You should be humble for even having this meeting with me.

"Your definition of kindness must be different than mine." spoke Gouenji venomously. Bitterness traced in his voice. "Here, kindness means caring for someone who may not care for you. It is a expression of love and..."

Desuta looked at Gouenji with a bored expression on his face, raising his hand to 'cover' his yawn. "I care not for your opinion nor that biting remark. If your presense wasn't needed, I'd kill you now; and it wouldn't be hard. How does that mortal saying go? Kill him with kindness?"

This game of threatening each other was starting to get old.

"Before you see him, I must warn you. If you do anything to taint his soul, I will make your last days miserable beyond your greatest imagination. When the world crumbles, I will make you watch your friend burn. You will hear every cry he make, see every tear he sheds, ane be helpless against every plea he makes for relief. afterwards, your soul will be mine only, and I'll devour it."

Gouenji was left speechless after hearing Desuta's rant. Would he really do such a cruel thing? He is got to be bluffing..

Desuta turned around to notify the guard. "Guard, escort him to where the sacrifice is kept. I wish not to see his disgusting face anymore."

Turning back around to face Gouenji, Desuta had to have the final say.

"What a great chat we just had, right? Let's never do this again, ok? Desuta briefly patted Gouenji's shoulder and walked away.

That's something we both actually agree on.

Desuta really wasn't asking a question, just some more sassy remarks. He just had to have the last say in every conversation. Having the "last say" must make him feel more special.

This conversation may be done but not the fight. Gouenji was about to see Kidou again and he would go down fighting for both their freedoms.

I feel like everyone deserved something new to read after not updating for so long.
