A Loud House AU idea of mine that I've been toying with for a while now so you're feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated since I though long and hard on this story and I hope you all like it. So anyway, this story takes place in an AU where Lincoln was born last and is thus the youngest of the Loud family, the ages of most of the sisters are the same with the exception of Lily and Lisa, they both have been aged up to 10 and 11 years old. Lincoln's age in this story will be 4, an other changes will be addressed in later chapters so until then, please enjoy this one. Any ideas you guys have please either include it in your reviews or PM me.

Morning was the only time of the day that the Franklin Avenue street part of Royal Woods was pretty quiet, which was very rare for the neighbors since nearby, there lived a house that was famously known for starting quite a ruckus that could be heard by almost everyone in town, but since it was in the morning, things were relatively quiet, but that would change soon enough. Inside the house, the two parental figures of the family, Lynn Sr. and Rita were placed in the kitchen, the husband was preparing breakfast for his family while his wife was waiting with a young blonde haired girl of 17 years, she wore a blue top with brown shorts, along with blue eyeliner.
This was Lori Loud, she has made it very clear that she's the first born child that Lynn Sr. and Rita ever had in their lives, she really wasn't paying attention due to her eyes being glued to her cellphone, being the oldest, it's been a well know fact that she tends to be the bossiest and doesn't really appear interested in her siblings' shenanigans, she spends most of time texting with her boyfriend, Bobby Santiago. "Lori? Lori. Lori Loud, are you even listening young lady?" her mother called, making her look up.
"Huh? Sorry mom, were you literally saying something?" despite the question, it was obvious from her tone that she wasn't really that much interested, she just didn't want to seem rude.
All the matriarch of the Loud family could do was shake her head in exasperation. "Ugh, honestly, I don't know why we ever bought her that mind numbing phone for her birthday, honey." she told her husband.
"She's just having some fun, talking with some friends, dear." Lynn Sr. waved off, as he was putting bread in the toaster. "Besides, you know as well as I that if we didn't she'd just kept screaming until we were in a nursery home." as he set the tables by putting plates on them, he noticed that the rest of his children weren't at the table just yet. "Where is everyone? Their alarms should have gone off by now."
Almost as if she was on cue, the next Loud child walked in with a cheery smile. "Morning everyone!" this was Leni Loud, second oldest at 16 years old. Like Lori, she too had blonde hair, only it was a bit more paler than hers and on top of her forehead were a pair of sunglasses. She wore a seafoam green dress, hoop-shaped earrings, and white sandals.
"There you are Leni, why didn't wake up sooner?" her mother questioned. "Didn't you set your alarm clock like we told you?"
Rita's second born nodded. "But I did mom." Leni insisted. "I spoke into my clock and said 'Clock, get set for 7', then I waited for it to respond, but it didn't. I think we need a new clock, I don't think mine is working." she told her parents.
Both of them, including Lori, just gave her deadpan looks, with Leni wondering why they were staring at her. Lori groaned in aggravation as she shook her head at her younger sister's dimwitted behavior, everyone was used to this kind of thing, despite her kindhearted and fashionable nature, Leni Loud wasn't exactly the sharpest knife and it just annoys her family, but they've gotten used it. For the most part. Before more could be said, a guitar riff was heard from upstairs and needless to say it was in high volumes. "And Luna's awake." Lori stated as she got up and yelled to the stars. "Luna! Enough with the noise already and het your butt down for breakfast!" she barked.
Her harsh voice got the source of the noise to stop playing and descend downstairs, the third eldest revealed herself as a young freckled teenager of 15 years with purple eyeliner, unlike her older sisters, her hair was colored brown and was styled into a pixie cut. Her attire consisted of a purple t-shirt with a skull, a plaid skirt with lavender colors with a light grey belt around her waist, high purple boots, and most distinguishing was her black braceblets on her wrists, and paperclip earrings, she also carried her electric guitar. "Oi! Where's the fire luv? I was in the middle of some sweet jams." she spoke in a pretty convincing British accent.
Lori face palmed over how she sounded. "Enough with that stupid accent already, and what was with you playing so early in the morning?"
"It's never too early to rock out, sis. That's what my idol, Mick Swagger always says." Luna replied with a smirk, using her normal voice this time. When she was 9 years old, she attended a rock and roll concert performed by the man that she would come to idolize for the rest of her life. Before then, she was a shy and timid little girl but going to her first concert changed her life, she committed herself to the lifestyle of rock music, she's up to date with every band and solo act there is. She's a relatively cool person and while her family tends to get annoyed with her loud music, she gets along pretty well with her 'rents and sibs, especially one in particular, but we'll get to him later.
"Where's Luan by the way She's literally keeping us all waiting?" Lori asked wondering why her rocker sister's roommate didn't come down with her, looking around with suspicious eyes. She sat back down, but blushed when everyone heard a deflating noise coming from her.
"Again, Lori? You guys should really consider taking her to the doctor to get this flatulence problem fixed." Luna told her parents.
"I thought it was just passing gas or my goulash going through her system, but I think you might be right." Lynn Sr. replied with concern in his tone.
Lori shook her head furiously to deny this. "That wasn't me! It was probably just-" she was gonna make up an excuse to it being the chair creaking, but when she checked the char,i she frowned once she pulled out a whoopee cushion. "-a childish prank!" she growled, for she knew who was responsible for this. "LUAN!"
The family's attention was directed to the sound of someone laughing, she was a teenager a little shorter than Luna who also had brown hair that was worn up in a large ponytail and most prominent feature were the braces on her teeth. She dresses in a white shirt that had a pink flower on it, a yellow skirt with a checkerboard pattern, and brown shoes that also had pink flowers. "Nice tooting sis, makes me starting to feel gassy! Haha, get it?" this was Luan, fourth oldest at the age of 14, she can be easily described as the resident comedian of the house. She has an assortment of gags and corny puns handy for one of her pranks, though nearly everyone are more annoyed with her jokes rather than find them funny but have learned to deal with it.
Only her father laughed at her humor. "Ha! Good one, sweetie!" he chuckled until he saw his eldest give him a death stare which made him recant. "...But that was really mean and isn't tolerated in this house. But seriously, comedy gold." he whispered that last part and was then hit in the face by a soccer ball. "Yowch!"
"Oooh, sorry dad." an apologetic voice called out as a shorter girl walked in the kitchen, she was about 13 years old also with brown hair tied back into a ponytail and like Luna, freckles were adorned on her cheeks. She was wearing a red and white sports jersey with a red number 1 on the center, red track shorts and cleats with knee high socks, despite her age, she was much shorter than you would expect. "Was gonna go practice out back, but I might have wanted to get a head start."
"Junior, haven't your mother and I told you many times not to use your sports balls in the house?" her dad sternly told her.
"I'm sorry but there's gonna be a big game this Saturday, and the whole team needs to be at the top of their game." she defended herself. Yes, for Lynn Loud Jr., sports of all kinds was everything to her, she is the most sporty of the entire Loud clan, being a part of many teams in town and has a reputation of being the number one winner in all kinds of activities like basketball, soccer, you name it. Of course, that leaves her to be a bit of a handful at home, since she's been known to turn everything into a competition and takes losing hard, but she tries to go easy on her family and friends. "Anyway guys, you seen Lucy anywhere? I woke up and she wasn't on her bed."
"That's probably because I was sleeping in my coffin, Lynn." a deep, monotone voice said, making everyone jump back with a scream at the sudden appearance of a very pale little girl of 8 years. Unlike the rest of them, she had neither blonde nor brown hair, instead it was a head of long black hair that concealed both of her eyes. She wore a black dress over a white shirt with striped arm sleeves along with matching knee socks and black shoes. "I thought you'd know that but sigh, you overlooked it like always." she said with a depressed tone.
Lynn rolled her eyes. "Jeez Luce, don't make such a big deal about it. Also, quit it with that whole Houdini thing you're doing, it's gonna give someone a heart attack one of these days."
"Sigh." the little girl moaned once again. Lucy Loud is a curious case, she takes the whole goth thing to a whole new level, she's into all things that relates to things of a more darker nature, such as monster romance novels or horror flicks and the concept of dark magic. The parents try to play this off as her going through a phase, but Lucy is quite committed to the darkness which frequently creeps out her siblings, especially when she suddenly appears out of nowhere without anyone noting her coming in.
"Hey guys." a sweet and cheerful voice greeted which belonged to a young 10 year old child with a head of blonde hair, she wore a light purple sleeveless blouse and a dark purple skirt along with black shoes with purple socks. "What's cooking today dad?"
Lynn smiled down at her. "Glad you asked Lily, your old man's making some bacon, eggs, pancakes, and such. So how's your dance lessons going?" he asked.
She smiled as she sat down on a chair. "Pretty good, Mrs. Smith knows how to give some good tips and my friends and I have really progressed well ever since class started." the young blonde was gifted in the art of dancing, her parents frequently take her to dance classes once a week and she's the best in her class.
"Funny you should mention that, sister, for last night your choice of music distracted me from my next scientific experiment that has now pushed back to months, so be kind as to not to have your trivial profession of engaging in various muscle spasms in synchronized movement." a dull and bored sounding girl said, walking in. She was about 11 years old with shaggy brown hair and wears large glasses to help her see. She had on a droopy green turtleneck sweater that was covered by a white lab coat, equally droopy pink pants and brown shoes. She sounded annoyed, but her expression was devoid of emotions.
"You know, it's not that hard to just call it dancing." Lily told her roommate.
"You say potato, I say Solanum Tuberosum." Lisa Loud was a young girl who had an intellect higher than anyone else her age, it surpasses even the most brilliant minds in history. She's been gifted for as long as any of her family members could remember, she won every science fair, made ground braking discoveries, she was basically the female Einstein. She was never really one for displaying in her own words, "innate human emotions", but makes certain exceptions. One problem she has is her obsession with doing very volatile experiments and would even use some of her own siblings as test subjects without them even knowing, leading to extreme discipline from her parents.
Lynn scoffed. "Pfft, nerd." she muttered under her breath.
"I thought it was pronounced potahto." Leni said, confused.
Soon, everyone could hear the sound of yelling from upstairs and then they saw a dust ball filled with sounds of fighting and yelling caused by the two little children engaged in sibling rivalry. Lily groaned and got in between the combatants. "Lana, Lola, that's enough!" she sternly told the fighting 6 year old blonde haired twin sisters who both were missing their two front teeth.
One could be mistaken for a boy due to her choice in attire, she wore dark blue overalls over a murky green shirt, her hair was tied into pigtails by red scrunchies and wore a baseball cap that was placed backwards. This was Lana, the older of the twins, she is a textbook example of a tomboy, liking stuff regular girls wouldn't normally like such as playing around in the mud and learning how to use tools to fix stuff, another thing about her is her fondness for animals. Her room's full of all types of reptiles, bugs, etc.
The other girl dressed in a more elegant manner, she wore a sparkly pink gown and wore her hair down with a shiny tiara placed on top of her head that seemed to shine in the sunlight. This twin on the other hand, is the exact polar opposite, while Lana isn't afraid to get her hands dirty, the so-called prim and perfect Lola Loud would trade all her pageant winning trophies than to play in such icky environment. And yes, she really is quite successful in the pageantry game, she's spent 4 years building up her winning streak and is quite arrogant presenting herself as the most prettiest girl in the world, and is known to do some conniving stuff to get what she wants.
"What are you girls fighting about?" Rita demanded.
"This time." Lily added, always frustrated by their constant fights and arguments.
"Lana's gross lizard was on my face when I woke up!" Lola pointed at her twin accusingly. "It felt even more weirder than her stupid frog!"
"Izzy just wanted to say hello!" Lana said in defense of her pet. "And don't you say that about Hops!"
"Okay settle down you two." Lynn Sr. ordered. "We can't have a good ol' family breakfast if you're fighting." he inspected his children and could have sworn that something was missing. "Hmm. Hey honey, everyone is here, right? Can't help but feel that we don't have everyone present just yet."
Rita thought for a moment, until it finally hit her. "You're right. Lincoln must still be asleep in his room, someone should probably go wake him up."
At the very moment she finished that sentence, all of the sisters stopped what they were doing and immediately tried to get their mother to pick one of them to go fetch the final Loud child.
"I can go!" Luan said. "I can tickle him awake, Lincoln loves it when I tickle him!"
"No me!" Leni pointed to herself. "I wanna wake Linky up!"
"Um excuse me, I believe beauty comes before all of you." Lola flipped her hair.
"Then in that case, I should go." Lana said with a smirk.
Her polar opposite placed her hands on her hips and glared fiercely at the tomboy. "And what makes you say that?"
"It's something called being a twin, look it up." the animal lover told the princess with a teasing tone.
"Excuse me, but did you all forget who was born first?" Lori said with a lot of haughty.
"Has it escaped your mind who is intellectually superior?" Lisa countered.
"You don't need brains to wake up your brother, Lis." Lily argued.
"Lincoln and I have a deep connection, so he would sense my presence as I watch his peaceful slumbering form." Lucy spoke up making Lynn stare at her.
"Oh get real, let his sport buddy handle this." the jock stated, proudly.
"Just because he's a boy doesn't mean he's interested in the same stuff you like."
"Give it time!"
Rita pulled out a bullhorn that she kept handy for such an occasion when her kids cause a commotion in the house, they girls covered their ears and looked to their mother. "Now girls, you all know that it's Luna's turn to wake up your brother." she reminded them.
"Ha! In your faces!" Luna threw her arms up in celebration, then saw Leni's downcast expression. "Hey Leni, if you want, you could come with."
The bubbly fashionista clapped her hands and followed her younger sister. "Yay!"
Both walked upstairs and down the main hall to open the door that was located on the other side that was parallel to the bathroom, opening it just a little bit as to not make a single noise, they peaked inside a linen closet that has been converted to resemble a simple bedroom, they focused their attention on the sleeping form that was on the bed. He was but small little boy of 4 years with freckles, he was wearing an orange onsie and was holding a stuffed rabbit toy close. One interesting thing to note was that his hair was as white as snow and was sleeping soundly.
"Awwww, look at him, I have got totes got to take a pic." she used her phone to take a quick picture of her slumbering baby brother.
Her rocker sister gently rubbed him. "Hey little buddy, time to get up." she told him with a comforting tone.
With a yawn, the young boy opened his eyes and saw his two big sisters. "Morning Leni, morning Lulu." he greeted with a tired smile.
Luna chuckled at her brother's cute nickname for her. "Time for breakfast, baby bro. Let's get you up."
He turned over. "Five more minutes." he asked, not wanting to get out of bed.
"Linky, if you don't get up, then you won't get morning kisses from your big sister!" Leni turned him over to her side and began smothering his face with kisses that made him giggle cutely as he tried in vain to stop the assault of sisterly love, but her fondness for him was too great. "Come on, get up and get dressed."
It took a moment, but little Lincoln Loud was out of bed and changed into new clothes which consisted of an orange t-shirt and blue pants. When they day came that Rita Loud announced that she was pregnant for the 11th time, it was quite the surprise, not just because she was having another baby after so many beforehand but because this time around, it turned out to be a boy. The Louds were definitely taken by surprise by this sudden change in the cycle of births, none of them could have predicted the sudden birth of the first boy in their family, but in 4 years they learned to get used to this. As the youngest of the family, Lincoln requires a lot of attention and a lot of love from all 10 of his big sisters, especially from these two.
After his birth, Rita made Luna the first of the sisters to hold Lincoln, the peaceful look on the infant's face made the rocker's heart melt and she swore to be the best big sister she could be the boy. She acts as his guardian and caretaker whenever her older sisters and parents were busy and she has a deep bond with him, since due to being 4, he has a typical fascination with a lot of things and because he had so many siblings, he always tended to follow them like a duckling, it gets on some of their nerves, but Luna. She loves to teach Lincoln about stuff, especially if it's music related, despite the high sound volume, Lincoln enjoys Luna's music.
For Leni, the minute she saw the sight of her newborn baby brother, she instantly fell in love, he was absolutely the cutest thing she's ever seen and has always doted on him and with his permission, likes to dress him up in fancy male clothes whenever she gets the chance. Unlike the rest, he isn't annoyed in the slightest about her not being as smart as Lisa is and finds it fun to have someone who thinks similar to him about certain things and likes to paly with him with no hesitation.
The three of them exited out of his room and made their way downstairs where everyone was waiting. "Hi, everyone." he greeted happily.
"Morning Lincoln!" his sisters greeted back.
Rita picked him up into her arms and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "There's my little man. Did you have a nice sleep, sweetie?"
Her youngest child nodded. "Sure did, mommy." he took a sniff of the air. "Hey dad, that smells good."
His father playfully ruffled the boy's hair. "Thanks sport, your old man always makes the best for his family." when they learned they were going to soon raise a boy for the first time, Lynn Sr. and Rita didn't know what to do, they spent years raising only daughters that they had no clue on how to raise a boy, but with some help from counselors and friends, they've completely adapted to the lifestyle of raising a boy.
Like her second oldest daughter, Rita just loves to dote on her youngest and makes a lot of time to care for him, she never realized it, but she absolutely loves raising a boy, it gives her a chance to use her maternal skills on a different level. As for Lynn Sr., as ironic as I may be, he gotten so close with his daughters he didn't know how to get close with his first son, but he managed to actually grow fond of him and knew that as the only other male in the house, he had to be the perfect role model for the kid.
Lincoln was seated in between Lynn and Lucy, he smiled up at both of them, making them pat his head. As the patriarch of the family set the plates of food for everyone to eat, Lincoln noticed Lana eating without using her fork and was just grabiing the food with her hands and stuffing her mouth with it making him giggle. "Lana, you eat funny."
"Oh do I now?" Lana said with a smirk. "Well you should try it sometime Link, trust me, it's way easier than using these things." she pointed to the eating utensils. Both siblings shared a laugh as the family enjoyed breakfast.
With breakfast done, Lori was free to finally use her phone without having to deal with her noisy siblings, it was one of the rare times the oldest of the children could enjoy what she liked to do. She laid on her bed, holding her phone and just received a text from her friend, Becky which read: 'Just heard from Dana that Carol got a new Porsche.' Lori made a scoff and texted back: 'As if. Carol probably just photo-shopped herself in front of an online picture of one. No way her dad is literally that rich.'
"Hi Lori!" her attention was grabbed by the sudden appearance of her little brother.
Mentally groaning to herself, she turned to him. "What is it Lincoln? And remember the rule about coming into my room?"
"But I just want to ask you for something." he said as he walked up to her. "Is that bad?" he asked, genuinely curious.
"Well, no it really isn't." she admitted. "But can't you see I'm busy? Now go bother someone else."
"Leni said you would help her out." he told her.
Lori turned to him with a skeptical look. "Leni? What does she need help with? Besides with everything, that is." she muttered under her breath with a light snicker.
"Well, Leni was gonna make new clothes, but then she got tangled in some string." Lincoln answered, making her face palm.
"Ugh, again with this?" Lori grimaced, having encountered a similar problem many times in the past. "Can't you ask mom or dad to clean up her mess? I literally have way better stuff to do right now."
"But Lori, you're our big sister." Lincoln pointed out, taking her arm. "You always help us, please?" he gave her a pleading look with wide and sparkly eyes that she couldn't resist staring into. This was his special technique, he would stare at his siblings with those puppy eyes and none of the sisters could possibly resist.
Gripping her phone hard, Lori placed it on her bed and got up with a defeated sigh. She carried Lincoln in her arms and went out. "You're lucky you're so cute." she softly pinches his cheek.
"Thanks Lori." Lincoln promptly kissed her on the cheek, making her smile. The eldest of the Loud was unprepared for having a younger brother, she's always more used to dealing with younger sisters so she was at a huge lost on what to do with the kid, she at first did the basic stuff such as looking after him and feeding him milk, but since he's older, she now has new responsibilities. As the oldest, it's her job to make sure his curious nature doesn't get him into trouble which was very frustrating to her, she would play the whole bossy sister act to keep him in check, but he genuinely loves and respects her, making her heart melt.
She carried him down the stairs and called out for her fellow blonde. "Alright Leni, I'm here." she saw the ditzy blonde entangled in a long thread of red string just as her baby brother said.
"Hi Lori." Leni smiled as Lori held the left side of the end of the string.
"Lincoln, take the right." she instructed him, who complied. "Ready? One. Two. Three!" both pulled hard and the fashionista spun until the string was removed from her being, leaving her feeling dizzy.
"Thanks guys." Leni rubbed her temple it to ease her dizziness.
"What were you doing with all this string anyway?" Lori couldn't help but ask.
Leni took out a notebook and showed her designs for a tailored suit. "It was for this tuxedo I was gonna make for Linky." she picked up her baby brother in her arms and nuzzled her cheek against his. "He was gonna look so adorable too, I even prepared these curtains."
Lincoln looked at them and thought for a moment. "How come I've seen them in the bathroom before?" he asked.
"What happened to the bathroom curtains?!" they heard their mother ask from upstairs.
The eyes of the second eldest Loud child widen in alarm. "Oops." she winced.
Lori could only shake her head in exasperation while Lincoln patted Leni's head in comfort, the second eldest quickly gave Lincoln to Lori. "Don't tell her I was here!" she ran off.
Rolling her eyes, she set Lincoln down on the couch. "Alright then, that's my cue to go back to my room."
But before she got to the stairs, Lincoln called to her. "Wait!"
"What is it now?" Lori groaned in aggravation.
Lincoln twiddled his thumbs nervously. "Can we play video games together?"
Once again, he was no match for the purity of his innocent eyes. She shook her head with a chuckle. "Alright, but I call dibs on player 1." turning on the game, both enjoyed playing as siblings.
Outside, Lynn was practicing some basketball out back, she wanted to see if she could dribble for an extended period of time, when she was about ready to sweat, she threw the ball into the hoop perfectly. "Oh yeah, two-pointer!" she then decided to practice on some hockey, but for this practice, she needed someone to be the goalie.
Soon, her brother walked out. "Hi Lynn, watcha doing?" Lincoln asked, curiously.
"Just practicing my skills little bro." his athletic older sister answered. "But I can't really practice for hockey without someone being my goalie." she then thought of something. "Hey now, you could be my goalie, Link!" she encouraged.
The toddler scratched his arm in a nervous manner. "I-I don't know Lynn, I'm not good at sports like you." he told her.
Lynn ruffled his head, affectionately. "Not without practice little man, and it's not that hard, here just look." she took him by the hand and placed a glove and helmet on him, she placed right at the goal. "All you have to do is just stand here and stop the puck from hitting the goal, easy as pie."
He was still unsure, but he didn't want to disappoint his sister. "Alright, if you think it's okay."
"That's my sports buddy." she moved back and readied to strike at the puck, the athletic jock narrowed her eyes as she tried to find a good opening to score a goal, she pulled the stick back and struck at the puck that flew across at a fast pace. Unfortunately, Lincoln wasn't quick enough to catch it with the glove, so it truck him on the head, knocking him back. "Oof!" he grunted.
Lynn's eyes widened in alarm and yelled out his name. "Lincoln!" she quickly ran over to him and spouted out a series of apologies. "Oh jeez, I'm so sorry bro, I didn't mean to hot that hard!" she helped him up.
Her toddler brother was dizzy for a moment, until he got back his senses. "Don't worry Lynn, the helmet protected me." he reassured her.
"It was still dangerous for him."
The sports fanatic jumped in surprise as Lucy made another one of her famous quiet entrances, Lincoln instead tossed the helmet aside and threw his arms up in joy. "Lucy!" he happily hugged his gothic older sister, who rubbed his head.
"Lynn, I thought we all agreed that if Lincoln didn't want to play sports with you, then you should respect his decision, unless of course you want a repeat of last year." Lucy sternly told her roommate.
At the mere mention of it, Lynn winced as she recalled her pressuring Lincoln to play some baseball with her, but the end result was her little brother getting hit hard in the face and a lot of tears, the other sisters and the parents were very furious with her that day and was grounded from sports for a week, but that was nothing compared to how she felt when she saw the little guy bawl his eyes out because of her. Even though he assured her that he wasn't angry about it and that it's in the past, she doesn't like remembering it. "Sure, play that card." Lynn crossed her arms sourly, but then she felt Lincoln hugging her.
"It's alright, Lynn. I know you didn't mean to hurt me." he told her, making the jock girl smile. When Lynn learned that the sisters were finally going to get a brother for the very first time, she was beyond excited, she had hopes that she could mold her little bro to enjoy and play sports the way she does but was mildly disappointed when Lincoln showed that he had no affinity for sports, no matter how hard she tried, but that little incident taught her that she should be patient with the kid and let him grow at his own pace. Other than that, she's fiercely protective of him, and doesn't respond kindly to those that mean him harm. Let's just say if you ever push him to the ground or punch him, you better run for the hills.
"Heh, thanks Linc." Lynn began picking up her sports equipment and going inside. "You know what, I think I should take a day off from practicing today. I'll just go watch the game with dad."
With her gone, Lucy looked down to her brother. "Now then Lincoln, do you wish to help me with my poems?"
"Okay!" Lincoln smiled.
The two siblings sat by under the tree, with Lincoln sitting on the goth's lap as she showed him her poetry book. "Alright, can you tell me what rhymes with fang?" she asked the boy.
He thought long and hard, trying to find words. "Um...bang? Gang? Clang?"
Lucy smiled proudly. "That's good little brother. You're getting good every day." Lucy rarely ever smiles at all, not to mention showing genuine emotion to something or someone is itself, a miracle. But other than her pet bat, Fangs, her youngest sibling and only brother always makes her heart feel warmth, he's about the only one who isn't scared when she shows up without making a word, plus he's always eager to help her with her poems. She actually sometimes uses it as a chance to teach more words, making her a teacher of sorts to her. Lincoln, or "her precious little snow bat", also takes care of Fangs whenever Lucy's not around.
"Hey Luce?" he looked up. "Why do you always seem sad?"
"Because my life is an endless abyss of pain and agony with no one to love." she answered simply.
Lincoln then adopted a look of concern. "But, I love you."
That comment made Lucy look at his eyes to see any form of deception; there weren't, she rubbed his head tenderly. "I love you too, my little snow bat." she continued to recite more poems for him to hear and hear his input.
Almost everyday, Luna Loud would keep on playing her favorite instrument after breakfast, she strummed the guitar strings gently as she began to put together a song, then a wooden puppet appeared right in front of her. "Woah toots, I sure am glad you're not using one of those wooden guitars, that could have been one of my cousins you know. I don't know what I'd do." the puppeteer quipped.
"Not now sis." Luna said with annoyance.
Her comedian younger sister popped her head out and chuckled. "Sorry Luna, but Mr. Cocoanuts has a point, he would feel shredded. Hahaha, get it?" Luan heard the rocker mumble. "I can't hear you~."
"Yeah, I get. You're a comedy genius." Luna's voice dripped with sarcasm, she wished that something could distract her from the antics of Luan, and got it granted by the sudden entrance of Lincoln into their room
"Luna! Luna! Luna!" he climbed up to her bed and jumped up and down.
Said sister was taken back by his excited nature. "Woah, take it easy little bro. What's the rush?" Luna chuckled playfully.
"It's almost 11:00!" he told her urgently.
11...
That was the moment that made Luna realize what was so important. "Oh snap, it is!" she went got to the trunk where she and her roommate kept all their stuff.
Luan looked to Mr. Cocoanuts who simply shrugged. "Uh, what's so important about 11?" she inquired.
"Lulu and I always play instruments at 11." Lincoln answered. "Right, Lulu?"
"Got that right buddy." Luna grinned before turning to Luan. "It's basically our daily jam session and we always play on time, just gotta get Linc his own tool for music and we can start jamming."
With her preoccupied, Luan decided to have her own fun with Lincoln. "Hey Lincoln, wanna hear something funny?"
The white haired kid gasped excitedly "Okay!" he smiled.
"You know what happens when a cat wins a dog show? A CAT-tastrophe happens!" she quipped, laughing uncontrollably and was joined by her brother. "You like that one, huh?"
Lincoln looked at her with honest eyes. "You are so funny, Luan!" this comment really made Luan proud of herself, when Lincoln was born she was excited to show her material to a new member of her audience/family, and like their father, Lincoln truly appreciates her comedy and genuinely believes her jokes to be funny in every sense of the word. Luan always likes making the youngest of the family laugh the most, it shows that in a big house full of siblings who don't understand comedy gold, at least there's one who sees a good joke when he hears one, she also likes to see his vibrant smile. Of course, she goes easy on the pranking with him since he can be sensitive and she would hate for him of all people to get hurt.
"Alright baby bro, here's your drum set." Luna placed four empty paint buckets and trombones on top of two of them. "Now let's get rocking!"
"I'm out." Luan exited the room since she doesn't want her eardrums to burst from the loud music.
"And a 1. 2. 3. 4!" Luna began playing her guitar with passion and fore this time, with Lincoln tapping the drums to follow the flow of the rhythm. "Yeah, keep on doing that, little buddy!"
"Now, divide that by 10 and of course carry the remainder..." Lisa mused as she was hard at one of many equations that she was working on, the prodigy of the Louds has always spent too much of her time doing all sorts of science-related activities inside her shred room. "Hmm, might need to add another dividend to the mix." Oblivious to the prodigy, her constant intellectual chatter was distracting her sister, Lily, who was trying to focus on her homework, but Lisa's constant murmuring was getting to her.
"Hey Lis, you mind dumbing down the science-y words a bit?" Lily requested. "Can't really focus with you talking about numbers."
Lisa shook her head. "If you actually were paying attention to my murmuring sibling, then you would no that I would never refer to a dialect as "science-y". And apologies, but my work is important so it requires my immense attention, you can work in your own trivial activities perhaps at a different time zone separate from mine." the young prodigy then began to move to her workshop. "Now, let's begin." she then turned on a device which charged up with electricity.
Lily could only shake her head in exasperation, but then she thought of an idea, leaving her room, she went to the converted linen closet that was remade into a room for her younger brother, she saw him coloring in his book. "Oh Linky~." she called, making him look up.
"What's up Lily?" Lincoln asked, curiously.
"I'm trying to focus on my homework but Lisa's playing mad scientist again." the dancer informed him, then took him by the hand. "But I think what she really wants is to answer some questions."
The youngest of the Louds tilted his head. "You really think so?"
"Go ask yourself." she ushered him to walk up to their genius sibling.
Lincoln twiddled his fingers. "Um...Lisa?"
The prodigy took a second to look at the white haired toddler. "Now's not the right time, male youngest sibling. I am currently working on a highly complex experiment dealing with neutrons and if it's possible to make them expand."
She tried to make him understand the importance of her experiment, but it only made him curious. "What's a neutron?"
"A kind of subatomic particle that has roughly the same quantity of matter as another stable subatomic particle called a proton which occurs in all atomic nuclei only unlike the latter, it doesn't require an electronic charge." Lisa was met with him staring blankly at her. "You did not fathom any of the words I just said, didn't you?"
"Uh...no?"
Lisa pinched the bridge of her nose with a sigh. "Very well then." she casted her tools aside and took her youngest sibling unit by the hand. "Come now, Lincoln. If you are to be a prosperous member of society, you must learn the basis of all particles that make up the planet." he still stared at her. "You get to spend time with your big sister."
"Yay!" he cheered, grabbing hold of her waist, which made her smile lightly. Similar to Lucy, Lisa was never really one for innate human emotion but Lincoln always manages to get some feeling from the prodigy, she's willing to admit that she has come to be quite fond of the boy, he actually pays attention when she's explaining so much "smart talk". Lisa also acts a tutor to him, thinking as the one with the highest intellect, it's her responsibility to teach her younger brother the ways of rationality and science.
"Have fun, Linky." Lily said as they walked off, giving the boy a wink. One thing Lily loved about her brother was that he was always willing to help her out with anything without asking anything in return, she likes to think of him as her little helper and of he ever has the need for assistance as well, then she will most certainly return the favor, anything for her baby bro. Lincoln also likes to see her dance too, he always found himself amazed by his sister's elegant grace when he has the chance, it warms her heart when he gives her constant praises.
"Okay, now pay attention, slowly creep to the prey and before it could react...go for the attack!" Lana exclaimed as she tackled a practice dummy that resembled an alligator outside with her brother. Lincoln cheered her on as she put the dummy in a choke hold, the tomboy doing everything in her power to show Lincoln the right moves. "See, it's all about timing, little bro." she advised as she continued to hold the dummy in her grasp. "Not only that, but you have to make sure it in no way fights back and more importantly, show it that you're the alpha."
Lincoln nodded with awed eyes. "Ohhhhh..."
"What do you think you're doing, Lana?" both turned and saw the other twin with her hands on her hips and a stern expression.
Lana rolled her eyes at her look-alike's intrusion. "Not the time Lola, I'm teaching Lincoln how to wrestle an alligator."
Aghast at her polar opposite twin's explanation, Lola promptly wrapped her arms around Lincoln. "Teaching our little brother to be nothing but some stupid meathead who wants to get his hands on some icky scaly monster? I don't think so." she began to stoke his white hair. "What he really needs is to know the standards of being a proper gentleman, now come along, Linky."
Both twins had a very different way of spending time with their brother. Lana likes to encourage Lincoln to live life to the fullest, to try anything he sets his mind to, being a tomboy Lana understands him and what he might like and wants him to embrace it even if it has anything to do with getting his hands dirty, it helps that they're close in age. Lola however is a different case, at first she thought it'd be gross to have a brother as she thought all boys were icky like her twin, but Lincoln's not like most boys, he's sweet, kind and likes to cheer her on during one of her pageants so as much as she sometimes gets jealous over the attention he gets, he's still her little brother.
Then, Lana grabbed him back. "Hey, I wanted to spend time with Lincoln, first!"
"Well too bad for you, I happen to be his favorite sister." Lola snobbishly declared.
"Nuh-uh!"
"Yeah-huh!"
Once again, both twins engaged in their many scuffles and like before it seemed like it would go on for a while, until the sound of sniffling caught their attention. They momentarily stopped fighting and looked to the source of the crying, it was Lincoln, the sight of his sisters fighting was making tears begin to swell in his eyes. "Please...stop fighting..." he lightly sobbed.
Seeing him in tears made them turn to each other racked with guilt for their part in making him cry. "Hey, don't cry, bro. Lola and I were just disagreeing. Look, why don't we go to the park? We can get mom to take us, right?" the tomboy looked to the princess.
For once, she agreed with her. "Of course." they both held Lincoln's hand as they went off to do their own thing together.
Nighttime had fallen and young Lincoln was being put to rest by his mother with Bun-Bun close to his person. "So sweetie, how was today?" Rita asked her youngest child as she covered him up with the covers of his bed. "I heard from Lucy that you're getting better of learning how to rhyme words." she told him, recalling an earlier conversation with her gothic daughter.
"It was fun." Lincoln smiled with a bright smile. "It's go great to have sisters like them, I love them so much!"
Rita smiled and kissed her son's forehead. "Aww, and they love you too, honey." she exited his room but not before turning to him one last time. "Swwet dreams, Lincoln."
Once his mom shut off the lights, Lincoln hugged Bun-Bun close and began to sweep off to slumber but then he did a light sneeze. "Excuse me." he then heard footsteps heading towards his room and in an instant his door was slammed open with all his sisters I the doorway with concerned expressions.
"We heard you sneeze!"
"Are you getting a fever?!"
"I'll get the defibrillator!"
"There's medicine in the cabinet!"
"What's all that racket?!" they hear dad yell from downstairs.
Lincoln could only shake his head and chuckle, he has such a funny family, it's funny.
