Dean slipped out of unconsciousness, rubbing his eyes too, clear the blurred world. Mort stood beside his bed, his expressions so grave that led him blurting out " is it Lucifer, he got out in this universe too! "

"No, but something much worse has happened, which concerns you " Mort replied in graver voice than he usually spoke in, which by the way Dean didn't think was possible.
" The power stone has been converted to its usual form, someone is seeking infinity stones "
Dean stared at Mort having no idea what the hell was infinity stones so he asked " and I don't think infinity stones are something to be taken lightly because " he poked Mort lightly for an answer because what the hell was infinity stone, he was pretty sure Superman didn't have anything like that.

Mort turned around a charcoal smoke forming an inch above his hand before taking a form of images as Mort started explained.

" To create the universe the oldest ancient beings played big role the Big bang happened because of their powers colliding and creating the universe , but at that time the powers they spent created the stones - soul, mind, space, reality, time and power extremely powerful stones, do you know why bcoz because they all have been made with ancient beings quarter of powers . The power stone was made with death's power, that is why you could feel it, it's awake. "

" Can't I just zap the stone back in myself? " Dean asked
"No, don't you think your successor tried it already "
"So, what do you think we should do? "
Mort took a deep breath not that he needed it, he was after all a reaper which concerned Dean because whoever was collecting the stone was scary enough to tense Mort.
"We should do nothing, but you need to get away, to some other universe. Yes you should not be here " saying that Mort turned around
But Dean wouldn't let him no way was he going away when a bad bastard was dreaming to chum the universe "whoa! Whoa! No way I wouldn't just run away especially when someone is gonna use my powers to fuck it away " said dean
" You don't understand ... " Mort began
" Then make me understand "
"Nothing, if you want to stop him, you have to protect some other stones. My vision only allows me to see the earth and I can see there are two stones, you should try to protect them but don't come close to them they will affect you " with that Mort turned reached towards the door before he said " you should use your powers to reach the stone " with that last sentence he left .

Dean heaved a sigh and concentrated on his powers for the locations of the stone.

(Steve's P.O.V.)

Steve thought about his best friend who was now in control hydra, having forgotten his best friend, his life and even his name. Steve didn't know how to focus and on the top it, no one is trustworthy. Least no one from work, he heaved a sigh as Dean's thought came into his mind.

He missed dean, he wished dean wouldn't have done that. Because at least he would still have his best friend.
He turned back to Natasha and Sam to make plans for the destruction of Hydra.

(Post-shield dismantling)

Steve looked at the couple busy in each other the next table. The two men were so in love that it felt too easy to just give in. The waitress giving them " they're so cute " look . He could easy just let go, after all, no one cares for mam, tucked shirt, so why shouldn't he be happy. Why shouldn't he just call dean and ask him to come back?
But Steve was afraid to, he didn't want this he was a soldier who just wants to go home. 'Liar' came a traitorous thought, and he just ignored it.

Dean had been finally successful in working his powers and ignoring his feelings yet again. Dean had locked the rejection by Steve away and worked over to find the stone. It was at Kamar-taj in Nepal and was well protected by the ancient ones for now. He put an alarm over the place so he would know if something happened around the place.

Dean landed in sokovia, draped in a leather jacket. The hydra base just some fingertips away, the force field crackling around his fingers. He felt sluggish, faint; the power trying to dominate him. He drew a shield of smoke around himself and crossed the field without a hitch.
Mort had helped him in faking as a Hydra agent though low-level to keep him out of the problem. He was hoping he did not do any mistakes. He was here only to keep an eye on the stone. No hero complex.

Tony Stark: Shit!

Steve Rogers: Language! JARVIS, what's the view from upstairs?

JARVIS: The central building is protected by some kind of energy shield. Strucker's technology is well beyond any other Hydra base we've taken

Thor: Loki's sceptre must be here. Strucker couldn't mount this defence without it. At long last.

(Dean's P.O.V.)

(HYDRA Research Base, Sokovia, Eastern Europe)

Strucker: Who gave the order to attack?

Dean: Herr Strucker, it's the Avengers. They landed in the far woods, the perimeter guard panicked.

Strucker: They have to be after the sceptre.
To dean ( guard soldier): Can we hold them?

Dean: They are the Avengers!

Strucker: Deploy the rest of the tanks.

Dean: Yes, sir.

'Like hell 'dean thought he was not blowing up Steve and his team. He slipped out of the room hoping to stop the twins.
Entering the room carefully mindful of the sceptre, he looked around for the twins but came up empty. Shuddering he tried to ignore the stone's calling.

The stone having sensed the similarities in the powers in him tried to dominate him.

'Oh heck' he thought doesn't matter he would be all-powerful with the stone, ceasing to exist but still ruling.

He enclosed his hand over the staff and then there was nothing.
