Chapter 1

"No." McGee said

"Yes." Torres said

"It can't be possible." McGee disagreed.

McGee and Torres argued as they got out of the elevator and walked to the bullpen.

"Lets ask Bishop, see what she thinks."

"Fine."

They both turned toward the desk of the youngest agent, only to find it uncharacteristically empty.

"Where is she?" Torres asked

"She's never late. She's probably with Gibbs." McGee reasoned.

But before either had time to think, a more commanding rang out.

"Grab your gear!" Gibbs said walking into the bullpen. "We have a dead sailor. Where's Bishop?"

McGee and Torres glanced at each other. "Uhh…"

"Never mind. Just send her our location. Lets move."

(Scene Break)

They arrived at the location. The sailor was in an ally. The police were clearing out, as it was now an NCIS case.

"The sailor appears to have died from a single gunshot wound to the chest. " Jimmy was saying. Of course I'll know more when I – "

"Get him into autopsy." Gibbs finished slightly distracted. "McGee! Torres! Did either of you get a hold of Bishop?"

"No." Torres answered "I've tried her home and cell phones. "Nada."

"Alright. Torres, go to her apartment. McGee, you're with me. We need to talk to the witness."

(Scene Break)

The witnesses name was Mrs. Lorena Macgyver, a woman in her fifties who had been walking her dog in the middle of the night.

"I thought it was just fireworks at first. This sort of thing just doesn't happen around here, and then the women ran out real fast, and I guess I got curious."

"Can you describe the woman?" McGee asked.

"I'm pretty sure she had brown hair, but that's all I could tell you."

"Thanks, call us if you remember anything else."

(Scene Break)

Torres looked up at Bishops apartment building. It was a nice place, in a nice part of town, though not as nice as the apartment she had wanted before, the one McGee now owns. She lived on the 3rd floor. As Torres found her apartment, room 309, he felt that something was off. He knocked on the door, but the door wasn't closed all the way, and it slid open.

"Bishop?" He called out cautiously, taking out his gun. The apartment was blank. It had everything someone might want, but it didn't have anything that seemed to make it her own, and Torres was starting to doubt that it was her apartment at all. He took out his cell phone.

"Hey Abby?" He waited. "This is her apartment right? Yeah, no, I just…something feels off… Ok, thanks" Torres hung up, and headed back to ops.

(Scene Break)

"Where's Gibbs?" Torres asked McGee

"Up in MTAC. We didn't find out much with the witness, except that the murderer or another witness might have brown hair."

But Torres wasn't paying attention. "Something's weird about this whole thing. First Bishop doesn't show up, and when I went to her apartment today, it doesn't look like she lives there. I'm talking to Gibbs."

Meanwhile, Gibbs was talking to the director of the NSA.

"I know why you're calling Agent Gibbs. Bishop said you'ld call."

"So you know where she is then."

"Do you know how many times Bishop has called in favors? We needed her."

"For what?"

"Two weeks ago, we were hacked. The hacker got information on all of our current agents. On top of that, we've believed that we've had a mole. We didn't know who we could trust within our own agency. We needed someone who wasn't on the list, someone smart, and resourceful."

"Someone like Eleanor Bishop." Gibbs said.

"And after working with us," The NSA director continued "and then being an agent for you, we thought she could handle it."

"Thought?" Gibbs didn't like the sound of that.

Torres and Mcgee walked in just in to hear something no agent, or no person, wants to hear.

"Bishop is dead, Agent Gibbs."
