"Yato?" Yukine stepped out onto Kofuku's back porch, looking down at the young blue-hair god, who had his head down laying on his knees.

"Hmm? Yukine?" Yato's voice was husky and thick, and it was reminiscent of a child who had a cold.

"Yato, what's wrong? You're not sick are you?" Yukine was alarmed, and pressed a hand to Yato's forehead.

"Yukine, gods can't get sick..." Yato mumbled, unclasping his hands from around his knees and shoving the Regalia's hand away. "So I'm fine, don't worry. Just go back inside."

"Yato...You're not fine. You sound like any regular old human who has a cold. So if gods can't get sick, I know of only one other reason you would sound like that. You've been-"

"Don't say it." Yato cut in, holding out his hand defensively, all the while still keeping his head tucked down, muffling the words almost beyond recognition.

"Yato..."

"Alright Yukine, I've been crying!" Yato lifted his head, which was stained with tears. "Gods are allowed to cry!"

Yukine's eyes softened, and he sat down on the porch. "I never said that you weren't." He whispered,"Everyone cries sometimes. It's just a matter of why. Wanna talk about it?"

Yato shook his head. "I can't."

Yukine sighed softly, and glanced out into the yard. It had started to rain. "Alright. We'll just sit here for a while. Let the rain wash away your troubles, OK?"

A/N I know this is a bit of OOC, but I just really wanted to write something involving Yukine comforting Yato for once, and this was what I came up with. I'll probably cringe at it later, but oh well, I had fun writing it at least. Consider it a make-up for not posting on Family in a while
