Chapter 2

A week later found Harry in Gringotts, doing as Voldemort had suggested. He was nervous as he didn't have very much experience with the goblins but wanted to find out anything, if he could.

Going up to the nearest teller he asked to meet someone about his money.

"Name" asked the goblin teller.

"Harry Potter" he replied, quietly.

"Come with me, your account manager wants to speak with you" said the goblin teller, a bit colder.

Following the goblin down a corridor, they go past many doors with different names on. Some names he's familiar with and others not so much.

Arriving at the door with the Potter plaque on the door, the goblin knocks on the door and walks in shutting door behind him, leaving Harry waiting in the corridor. Coming back out the goblin tells Harry with a sneer on his, that he can go in the office.

Sitting in the seat in front of the desk, Harry sees a powerful looking goblin with a few scars on his face only making him look more scary.

"I am Barchoke, what can I do for you, Mr Potter" asked the account Manager.

"I want to find out anything to do with my family and myself" said Harry, still nervous.

"And why has it taken you this long to come here? You should have come here when you were seven to receive the heir ring and again before school to take up the Lordship" said barchoke angry.

"I didn't know. I've only know about magic for less than a year" replied Harry.

"You what. Your magical guardian should have told you!" Shouted Barchoke.

Harry didn't say anything.

"Here is what we are going to do. We are going to do an inheritance test on you and check for any disturbances upon you" said Barchoke, calming down.

Getting a runic knife out and a small cauldron, Barchoke pushes them in front of Harry. "Take the knife and place seven drops of blood into the cauldron" ordered Barchoke.

Cutting open his finger Harry lets seven drops of blood fall into the cauldron. Pulling the parchment out of the blood Barchoke hands it to Harry.

After reading the parchment he showed the Barchoke and they both were seething. They will suffer for this in time thought Harry darkly.

While Harry was sitting there seething Barchoke had ordered a goblin healer into the office with a potions to remove the blocks and disturbances. Placing it on the desk the goblin healer left again.

"Take this potion Mr Potter and then we can continue afterwards. It will removes all the blocks and disturbances" said Barchoke.

Taking the potion, Harry didn't stop drinking until there was nothing left in the flask and then he blacked out.

"I am impressed, it has been 8 hours. Normally it takes 18-30 hours for someone to awaken after the potion" said Barchoke, surprised.

"Thank you, I guess" said Harry, groggily.

"Now down to business. While you were knocked out I have dealt with the money, there accounts will be frozen until they pay the money back into the correct vaults. However we still need to deal with the marriage contract" said Barchoke, annoyed.

"Destroy it!" said Harry, firmly.

And Barchoke did just that, ripping it in half and throwing it behind him, not even giving it a second glance.

Getting out the Lord and heirship rings Barchoke hands over four boxes while opening them for Harry.

These are the Lord and heirship rings. Each of the heir rings have a smaller version of the crests on the Lord rings. You have to claim the ring of Lord Potter separately to the heir rings explained Barchoke.

Putting the Potter Lord ring on his right ring finger he recites the oath. "I Harry James Potter, claim Lordship over house Potter, so mote it be". Putting the heir rings one by one onto his right middle finger they infuse into one ring but can change into any of the rings at will. Once this is complete Harry recites another oath. "I Harry James Potter, claim Heirship over houses Black, Mckinnon and Slytherin, so mote it be".

Congratulations, Lord Potter. If that is all for today goodbye.

Once receiving a gold bank card connected to the potter vault, he leaves for Potter Manor.

It was two months into the summer holidays and Harry had been busy. He had spent the last couple of months training in every subject Lord Voldemort had given him.

He had spent a lot of his time eating lots of food to gain a healthy weight and doing different forms of exercise. He had started out by running around the Potter estate to increase his physical endurance but once he started to get fit enough he added muscle training to his workout. His workouts lasted around 4 to 5 hours a day and he only wanted to keep improving himself.

What he had been doing for the last couple of weeks was magical endurance, not something Lord Voldemort asked him to do but he felt it was worth it in the long run.

His mind arts training had been progressing well, he was at the mastery stage of Occlumency and would only take a few weeks to a month to complete. However he was only halfway to becoming a master in legilimency as it was hard to practice by yourself but had still made good progress nonetheless.

He found dueling easy to learn but found the equitique of it annoying, as he prefered to fight instead of the bowing and walking away before firing.

What had intrigued him though was the family magic. He had managed to get his has on three of the four family magic books. The only one not being Slytherin as he was only a possible heir. The Potter magic was very combative and surprising considering how everyone talked about the Potter being light, the Black magic was dark and just as dangerous in its own right but the Mckinnon magic was gray, it consisted of both light and dark magic. Something that surprised Harry the most.

But the pureblood equitique is what annoyed him the most. As he read more about he got annoyed, realising one of two things. Either he hadn't been noticing people doing it around him or they weren't doing it and disrespecting him. He read the book abit more.

You don't need to worry about most of this too much as you are the Lord of a Most Ancient and Most Noble house. Anyone of a lower status than you should give a respectful bow or curtsy when you first arrive at a place. If someone refuses to bow or curtsy then it can be taken as a sign of disrespect towards your person and house. Don't expect any muggleborns to show this type of respect as they haven't been taught it.

If someone does bow or curtsy to you, you must acknowledge them or it can also be seen as disrespectful. To acknowledge them you have to nod your head in a way that shows them you hold all the power. Practice. it needs to be regal.

.

The last practice in pureblood etiquette is the mask this is the practice of keeping your emotions hidden from everyone around you. If people know your emotions they can use them against you and cause pain and suffering, hiding them will prevent this. Only show your emotions to people who have your strongest trust.

Written by Dorea Potter nee Black

Standing up Harry nods his head a couple of times trying to make it look authoritative. After five more tries he managed to nod regally

But Harry found hiding his emotions a lot harder than learning to nod regally. It was easier to hide his emotions than before but still hard. After an hour of practice, Harry managed a mask of indifference. You could still see the emotions in his eyes but not on his face. He knew he had to improve it but it would take time and more practice.

It was the day to go back to Hogwarts and Harry was ready. He had been out shopping bought a whole new wardrobe. His school robes where now made of acromantula silk that fit nicely around his now chiseled body or as chiseled as it could be for a 12 year old. He hair was short on the sides and brushed back into a modern Pompadour hairstyle, that made him look more serious and charismatic at the same time and his eyes were bright life but held a coldness to the colour of the killing curse.

He had also gotten a new trunk with seven compartments and wards to prevent anyone unauthorised entering it.

I'm ready thought Harry, smirking.

Taking his belongings with him, Harry floo'd to the station of the Hogwarts Express.
