Emptiness in my Heart
I was the guardian of the moon I should feel happy… shouldn't I? We got the sun back and created a new moon, but I feel an aching pain in my chest. Oh, that's right. Glim, oh how beautiful she was. If only I had been stronger if only I had been able to protect her better.
The Temple started drifting towards the forests again. A small fuzzy spider-like creature crawled up on Mune's shoulder and began making out panicked yips and warbles. "Huh? Oh no." Mune sprang into action and went into temples back. He placed his hands on the strings and let out a shaky breath. He was still learning how to control the temple. He plucked a few strings and the temple began to fix its course. He cringed at a few off notes that caused the temple to stumble.
"Whoa… steady now…" He pulled a few more chords and steadied the moon temple. A shaky sigh escaped his lips. He turned around and saw a small trapdoor. The door that leads to the world of dreams. He crouched over it and ran his hands along the sides and eventually found his fingers hooked under the lip of the trap door.
"Glim, I had a funny dream. A dream of you and me together under the moon. I wish it were more than just a dream." A few of the small spider-like balls of fluff had grouped up behind him, each worried about the moon guardian's well being.
"Sorry, just remembering someone." He picked up one of the small spiders in his hand and rubbed its head before placing it on the tiny pedestal.
Mune climbed back on top of the temple and watched the scenery go by in the night. His eyelids drooped slightly as he started to lose himself in thought once more. He saw day up ahead, it was Sohone, but there was something else as well. Something… or someone was standing there waving to him.
His eyes began watering, his jaw slackened. He'd be able to recognize that pale waxy figure anywhere. He only wished this temple could go faster. Though he didn't dare try that again after what happened the last time he decided to mess with the temple.
Eventually, as if knowing exactly what he wanted. The temple lowered its head bringing him to eye level with glim. No words needed to be said. A few tears fell down the blue faun's cheek. Glim leapt into his arms and hugged him tightly. She was also carrying her own tears as well. As if to confirm that this was all real, he placed his hand on Glim's cheek. In response, Glim closed her eyes and rested her cheek against his hand. She gave him a warm smile and lifted her arms so they were behind his neck. Mune moved his hands towards her waist and held her there. He nervously closed his eyes and brought his lips to hers. Considering that she was made of wax, her lips were surprisingly soft. From that moment forward, Mune knew that no matter what was going to happen, he and Glim would always be side by side.
