Chapter 1: The Arrival

He sat at the edge of his bed. It was quiet in his chambers. The room was dim with dark monotone colors. He remained still and moved his gaze over the scavenger girl who lay before him under thin dark grey sheets. She had but a few hours ago boldly flown in alone to meet him in the single transport pod. He couldn't say he was surprised. Nothing this girl would do would surprise him and that excited him. It was her entire essence. Still, it was a bold and stupid move. And here she was. In his bed.

He had sensed her immediately as she came out of light speed in close proximity to his ship. She arrived and he quickly came to meet her as she landed. He had been escorted by his entourage. She had no doubt put up a fight. What had she expected to happen? For him to turn to the light on the spot and leave together to fight in the rebellion? She hadn't necessarily thought through her next moves beyond simply arriving by his side. She was young and brash. Full of untapped potential and if she kept that up she wouldn't earn the eventual wisdom she was owed in life. They had subdued her quickly. No harm was done. He though his chambers were the best place. He had kept this little arrival from hitting the ears of Snoke or Hux, at least for now.

His stoic gaze gave way to what his eyes craved. He glanced down again and he followed the outline of her lips. He could not get enough. No. He couldn't go there with his thoughts. It was like a pit he'd never crawl out of. A black hole that would never be sated. Once this is started, it could never stop. She still lay asleep. She wouldn't be out much longer perhaps. He would be here when she awoke. How exactly would this go? Hopefully better than the interrogation room at one of their last physical meetings. His desire was new and had gotten the best of him that time.

He would try to talk reason to her, perhaps there was more to the brief connection they had built through time and space. There was something to build on. He wasn't sure. He just knew nothing was more intriguing than this scavenger girl, Rey. Her strength, her raw connection to the force, her beauty. Yes, he had noticed her from the first time they met in the woods. He had hunted her down, having no idea when he found her that she'd stir something more in him than some tin can with a map to Skywalker. Perhaps the force new first. Something about hearing this girl had the droid he was after. It was at that point even before they met. There was a pull… an interest… and it went beyond getting the map from the droid. But how was that possible?

He studied his large leather-gloved hands and furrowed his brow. Did she feel the same pull to him? Clearly she had. She had just delivered herself to his ship, an all out move that could have had her killed. That meant something, but what? What was her intent? What was she after and why take that risk? Would he disappoint her? Would this culminate to nothing? No, that was not possible, not with this overwhelming pull between them. Something beyond his greatest expectations was bound to come out of this.

She lay there still, breathing quietly. It was almost too much for him to manage. He admitted his interest in this girl was beyond her talent, beyond anything tangible she could give him in the war against the rebellion. He was deeply attracted to her. He was sidelined from his mission. He hadn't seen a women so perfectly made as this. Her frame was slender yet strong. She was fierce yet he had seen her vulnerable side. She was his equal in every way besides their polar opposite upbringing. She was captivating to his very core. Her raw beauty in mere scavenger's clothing was as unexpected as anything.
