Bree's Plea
A perfect thing.
Oh, how perfect it was.
Brother and sister,
Sister and brother,
Against evil.
That's why she pleas,
Bree pleas,
Her brother's safe return.
Why they took him,
She didn't know.
She just knew,
That he belonged somewhere else.
Home.
Not starving in a basement,
Not beaten in a warehouse,
Not forced into slavery at some rich guy's house,
Home.
A ransom is set,
They want to pay it.
They have the income.
So, why not?
The check bounced.
Her brother vanished again.
Mission Creek has a new chief of police.
She is determined to find the killer,
Of her brother.
The case is twenty years old.
It went cold.
But, Bree pleas,
For someone to come forward.
He is found,
A Cliff Herring,
Admitted to the killing and kidnapping of her brother,
Chase Davenport.
Found guilty,
Sentenced life.
Finally,
They have peace.
She visits the grave,
On his birthday,
The day he was found in the woods, dead,
And the day the killer was found guilty.
"Hey, it's Bree." She would say.
"I know you can't hear me," she would laugh a little. "You are dead, after all."
"We miss you." She would say. "We really do."
"Even if we never showed our appreciation when you were alive. Trust me on that."
Then, she would look at the headstone.
Chase Leonardo Davenport
2000 - 2018
Smartest man in the world
Loving brother and son
Even if he didn't know he was loved
She would place roses on the grave,
And walk away.
Once she comes home,
To her husband,
Two girls,
And a boy,
She makes sure each one is loved.
In fact, each of the kids got a piece of his name.
Madelynn Leonada Hudson
Carly Davenport Hudson
And finally,
Chase Leonardo Davenport-Hudson
They all knew they each got a piece,
Of the mysterious uncle,
And even with Bree's plea of the past,
They all plea for a "Chase story" at night.
A/N: Literally got back from volunteering at the library, sat down in a chair, and wrote this. Well, I need to go make a Bosnian meringue cake now...
Sorry if I made you cry,
