You are not seeing things, this is an update. ;)
I really wish I was a little good with art. So any of you still having doubts on how 16 year Supes looks like, here it is.
Smooth soft curled raven hair tied into a braid that reaches his mid-back. (Inspiration: Khal Drogo) Lean build, not too ripped, has a bit of definition. His face isn't one that always look brooding rather it's more of a spongy expression, trying to grasp all these new things he constantly comes across. The reason why he doesn't speak much or is seen devoid of emotions is not because I want him to be portrayed as a silent broody badass, it's more of a cultural adjustment, and the lack of phrases and lines in the past to bring out more fun. For attire, he's always in a black Kryptonian body suit that covers everything except his palms and neck. A pair of boots with same orgin. And occasionally a tunic over this.
Chapter 5: Beyond Euphrates
The months that followed made Themyscira a well for surprises. The events from Arcadia reached the city in days and the Amazons doubts regarding the identity of the mystery boy was cleared when it was revealed, his travel companion being a white canine. It didn't stop with that one city, news came from Athenai, Eretria, Rizinia and many others where acts that question the dominance of men were done in reference to Themyscira.
"This is intolerable! How dare he use our name!"
"I concur! He forgets he is only an asylum seeker, not an Amazon!"
"His acts must be punishable! He claimed the princess of Arcadia like a broodmare!"
The senate hall was bustling and worst of all, there was a division between the senators there. Some hailed or atleast tolerated the Kryptonians actions while a larger group condemned it. The two Queens sat facing the ongoing shouting thrown in their direction.
"Sisters! Come to order! Come to order!" Hypolyta's command brought the senate to silence as they looked at her for her reply. Hypolyta knew her words on the issue must be seen impartial unless she wishes for a greater division than the council already is.
Philippus who stood beside the Queen suddenly stepped forward. This was the first time any have seen such an action from the soldier. "Tell me why Kal-El's actions recieve scorn from you senators?" Her words were calm yet the ferocity behind it was well understood.
One of the Senators tried to dissuade the woman. "Philippus, these are matters of the senate, your words-"
The Senators words were abruptly ended by Antiope. "Do matter. Captain Philippus is a close confident and the new Captain of the Queen's Guard, she will be honoured with a seat in the council to advise the Queen just as any present here." Rather than feel shocked by Antiope's words, the senate got frustrated. They knew the fierce ebony warrior will end up as the Queen's Guard but the time it was announced and her position on the boy was just inconvenient.
The Captain was in no way going to look arrogant, rather she asked again, politely. "Well, senator?" She waited for the woman to speak.
"The answer is as simple as night and day Captain. He is a man, maybe not a matured one, but a man nonetheless. The Amazons mission are to be conducted by Amazons! And every Amazon is woman." Her response gained a few 'ayes' of approval from many in the hall.
Philippus didn't waste any time thinking, rather it seemed she knew the Senators answer beforehand. "So you narrow your view to gender rather than the success of our cause?" Her question made the senate freez again.
"That is not what I meant." The senator tried to form an answer but to no avail was she able to get one.
Philippus didn't cut her of, rather spoke only after seeing the senator stop trying to mouth an answer. "Tell me senator, our mission is to show the world Peace is the way. How can we achieve that when we keep an entire half of the world at arms distance? I am not talking about all men, but those who have proven to us their loyalty. I have watched over Kal-El for the past six years. His actions, his view are all in synchronize with mine. When he won the Atalanta's hand, he did not seek pleasure, he gave their utopian society an eye opening experience that they still had wrongs even there. When he inspired and fought alongside the Queen of Zankle to overthrow her misogynistic husband who raped girls from the age less than eight, he wasn't thinking of receiving anything in return. Like that his actions across many cities have brought in women and men alike to our city, to learn about our mission. To embrace the value of a free and fair world rather than one dominated by a gender." Philippus looked at the senators and other politicians who remained silent.
Some were shocked that, Philippus of all people will stand up for the boy others were snapped into reality. About their own failures in acknowledging the lack of peace in themselves. There wasn't an immediate response, but everyone there knew a counter argument needed time or at least a truce.
Hypolyta had to suppress her grin as she stood up and spoke. "The Senate is adjourned and will continue after lunch." The senate left in a daze and as they exited, the Queen looked at her old friend. "I told you haven't I Philippus? You are a natural at this." Then she looked over to Antiope and smiled. "Nice going Ani, that Captain of the Queen's Guard sure distorted their anger." The three laughed quietly.
"I hope her majesty realises that I don't intend to speak in these meetings always."
"Disappointing," Hypolyta gave a small pout before giving a full smile. "Alas I know. It isn't the quantity, the quality of your words are enough."
Somewhere far West from Themyscira...
The son of Krypton and his canine companion travelled quietly through desert path. The Mediterranean weather had substantial changed, losing it's saline air and sea breezes as he strode through Western Asia. What started out as a simple sightseeing, now turned out to be the journey of discovery for this lone alien. New friends, allies and enemies were made from all the cities and kingdoms he crossed.
The taste of fresh water and the sound of a current from a hundred mile ahead, he knew they will be reaching the banks of Euphrates and beyond that, Mesopotamia. The last city he passed, Damascus was the only one he experienced Egyptian Civilization. And even with all the glorious architecture and cuisines intrigued him, the intolerable cruelties to slaves made him leave the city without delay. Of course he could free the slave, and bend their feeble armies to obey him, but what he learnt from the past year of travel prevented him. Peace attained through force will never last. The slaves in those cities have already embraced themselves to be slaves. And no matter his intention, words and actions will always be twisted by vlever evil men and will bring shame to not only him, but his nation.
As the wind blew, the end of his braided hair chimed. Another memory struck him. The children of the slaves there tied it to his hair when he played with them. Krypto himself had a few ribbons tied to his hair as a parting gift. The scorching heat of the sun only energized him further, letting his thoughts darken.
He stopped at the banks of Euphrates, it was night by the time their speedy walk had come to an emd and the moon shined brightly. The scene was vacant. He saw Krypto move towards the cold water and lap on it. Dropping his pack and removing his clothes except for his briefs, he stepped into the fast flowing waters and strode till his abdomen was dipped. The currents slammed against his body and split. He looked down into the uneven flow and through the distortion he saw two red glowing orbs. His eyes, they were red and he didn't know why.
"Hello there Skyboy!" The sudden intrusion startled him, nearly letting the current take him. Turning around he saw the person who caught him off-guard to be a youthful man, sitting on a rock at the other bank, holding a fishing stick. He was well built and was shirtless. His lightly curly raven hair shifted with the cold night air.
"Who are you?" Kal-El questioned. How does he know that name?
Krypto stood in a position to jump up at the intruder. He scanned the person for vitals and just like the time he scanned Melanion, who turned out to be the grandson of Poseidon, only had a golden glow.
The intruder chuckled at the panic stricken boy. "Samael, but you can call me Lucifer. Fallen Angel, God's son yada yada yada. Keeper of Hell. Yada yada yada."
"God's son? Keeper of Hell?"
"Oh yea, don't bother trying to find which god's are the real ones. That's a heated discussion for three thousand years later, let's focus on you."
"Me?"
"I've been following you for quite sometime...and I have a really bad feeling that, although you have come into terms with the way change is to be made in the last empires you crossed, you are going to turn around and beat down those Pharoahs. Which, I am more than thrilled to see, but it's not your job."
"Job?"
"Yea, I'm not going to say destiny, because we write our future." Lucifer paused, a strange emotion crossing his eyes. "Anyway, that's going to happen soon. Someone will bring those people out of their own enslavement and grant then freedom."
"You are making no sense."
The Devil sighed. "I know, you see I am a little excited. You are like the first anomaly we have seen. Everything in this world has a natural order, Darkseid wasn't one and those who aren't part of that order brings chaos. It's that simple. But you, you are chaos yet you have been groomed to bring order to it or at least search for it."
"Hm, so is the natural order is to have misogyny, slavery, poverty and so on?"
"Hey don't look at me, I've asked the old man for answers yet he gave none to me."
"Then what is your take in it?"
"I say we let mankind evolve. A gradual change that everyone can embrace. Rather than trim and prune a rose garden, let them grow as a strong tree, grow branches, sprout new leaves and shed the old, bear fruits and start over. They don't need us to interfere, they don't need a gardner. All we can do is give guidance at obstacles, show them they are not just specs trapped in this wheel of fate."
"I..." The Kryptonian was out of words, then his mind went to another detail this man...Angel spoke. "You are the Keeper of Hell, isn't that Hades?"
Lucifer chuckled. "I told you cub, the world will have a very heated discussion in the future. When you live in the mortal realm, live your life to the fullest, don't worry about the insignificant unknowns such as hell and heaven."
"How do I know you aren't lying? Just to stop me from freeing them?"
"I never lie my dear boy, oh I wish for the lasso of truth."
"The what?"
"Oh don't worry, you'll know what that is in the future...oh you'll know alright." There was a mischievous smile on his face. "But, I said what I meant and if you recall my words, I am stopping you from going back."
"I suppose I should give you the benefit of doubt..." There was an awkward silence, at least from the boy's part as he was nearly naked and in the water while the the Devil sat with his eyes locked on him and a creepy-happy grin. "Uh if you don't mind..." This was never an issue before in Amazon territory or maybe it's the fact that he was caught off-guard?
"Oh not at all!" Lucifer cheerfully replied but didn't turn away. Letting out a sigh the Kryptonian walked back to his side of the river to dress. In a second he was fully clothed and turned around to see the Devil still there. "Don't worry, I don't disappear like other mystic beings. I am bored in Hell so I come up for some fun."
...
Kal-El didn't know how to feel about the situation he was currently in. On his right, Krypto walked with his ever present guard on and on his left walked Lucifer who wore grabs fit for a prince minus any ornaments. His tunic and sandles were clearly worth plenty. But why was he travelling with him?
"Lucifer, where do you intend to go?"
"I told you I am bored and how else to fight it than go on a no-destination adventure with a person from the stars?" In short he was going to be in their company for sometime.
As the journey progressed into Mesopotamia, Sumer, their accommodations were rather... luxurious? Thanks to the devil... regrettably. Of course, sleep was only necessary on a mental scale for the Kryptonian but Lucifer insisted it would do him good to avoid the simplistic lifestyle the Amazon taught him when he came upon such chances. A tasty meal that aims to please rather than simply keeping consistency for a supplement and parties that can entertain their journey.
"Oh why can't he null the sound like he did when I scanned him?!" Kal-El snapped from his luxurious satin bed. One side effect of traveling with the Devil was his sexual escapades with wanton women who seek pleasure with 'no strings attached'.
A reply wasn't what he wanted but that's what he received anyway. "SORRY! OH YEA! THIS IS A PHYSICAL THING! OH YOU DIRTY-" Kal-El jammed his fingers into his ears and shut his eyes.
Apart from incidents like the one in the nobleman's house, Lucifer was actually quite a pleasent company. His view on certain things were rather... acceptable than many others when it came to women. Rather than treat them as tools, he sought those who were willing for a "shag" as he put it for the need of pleasure rather than emotional connections. His policy was a euphoric experience without regret from either side. Of course his own despair was ignored as the Devil simply laughed it off as a learning experience for him to control his hearing.
They were further traveling east and would pass the city of Uruk soon. "What do you really want Lucifer?"
"Hm? Keeping the two of you company would be a great answer but I don't lie." He exhaled. "First reason I'm here for is pleasure, nowhere else but the realm where everyday could be your last." He chuckled. "Second one...some demons have escaped. I need to either kill them or bring them back."
"Demons?"
"Yea..." He shrugged casually. "But unlike the monsters and creatures you have seen, these beings enter the living world through possession."
"Possession?"
"Occupying a freshly left corpse." Lucifer gave a straight answer.
"Then how do you intend to find them?"
"Won't be hard...we go to the place where people have seen miracles."
"We?"
"Well I assumed our relationship is that of friendship?"
"I do not know you that well."
"Fair enough, but understand the more time it takes me to find them, the more people will be killed and possessed. And even if these demons are taken, the possessed will not come back to life."
"Hmm...what would you have me do?"
"I need your ears Kal-El." The Devil leaned to the Kryptonian and whispered into his ear. "הגוףהזההואשלך."
Kal-El took a sharp breath and fell on the ground gasping. Krypto launched himself, knocking the fallen angel and growled at the Lucifer, ready to rip out his throat. "Krypto! Down boy! It's ok." The canine jumped of the man and ran to his master's side, who rolled over on the ground and laid, breathing hard.
The devil got up with a scowl. He looked at the to of his tunic and found it had tear marks that made him bleed, courtesy of Krypto's clawed push. He walked over to the Kryptonian who was a few feet away since the dog knocked him quite a way. "How do you feel? Anything for me?" He asked as he held out his arm to the boy.
"I can hear those words..." He couldn't block it. And on each passing moment, the number of times the chants being said were increasing. "East. Three hundred miles away."
"Nippur. Enlil's not going to be happy..." Lucifer rubbed his forehead before spreading his white majestic wings, startling the Kryptonian for a moment.
Kal-El looked on in awe at the sight before narrowing his eyes. "I'm coming. People are dying."
Lucifer gave a nod. "This is my problem, but I'll gladly recieve any help." With tremendous speed, the fallen angel left for the City.
Kal-El watched his flight in awe for a moment before looking down at Krypto. "Let's go boy." The two launched into the sky, the sound barrier breaking multiple times.
...
"I didn't give that brute enough credit..." Ares ranted to the mouse he caught near the pond he sat. He looked at the creature. "I don't hate you my little critter. At least not individually. Because you are all the same. Vermin." He squeezed the creature making it squeak in pain. "You are all so simple. Eat. Fuck. Die. Nothing else matters. Nothing else you will understand. The grand scheme I planned."
"Is it just me or has the mighty war god gone mad after a simple defeat?" The voice belonged to a scantly dressed woman who's clothes and hair were purple. Her body was well endowed and young when compared to her real age.
Ares growled and gave the mouse a chance which it took and scurried away. "Circe...you have some nerve coming here to mock me."
"Oh come on now Ares, you were the eightieth to fuck me. You know my lips are as tight as my cunt." She saw a scowl on the God's face which only made her grin wider. "But to the matter at hand, your hand. You feel really good saying that from your high horse, don't you?"
"What?" The War God stood, easily towering the witch.
"You called these creatures simple, yet your own plans were simple... it's no wonder you are still the dump bucket of Olympus-" Ares clamed her throat and lifted her off the ground.
"Tread carefully witch." He warned.
Choking she continued. Her voice still holding amusement. "You try to manipulate these creatures yet you are the one getting the shorter end."
Narrowing his eyes he questioned. "What do you mean and this time any jokes, I'll have your head and Gaea can have your body."
"Quite simply putting, you only looked on the outside of your problem without looking inside." She replied. He dropped her on the ground and turned around in thought.
"The boy who lives with the Amazons? That is a new perspective-" His words were cut.
"No!" She was border line annoyed. "Listen to me. You are still short-sighted." Her words made him growl. "Don't take only the males. The Amazons themselves are giving you opportunities."
"I do not follow." He stated, a bit of confusion on his face.
Of course you won't. "A fortress is only as strong as it's walls, pillars and people. Divide them, and you'll get your wish." She waved her hand over the pond and the water turned into a screen that focused on the more vulnerable women who still fear men and the outside world. Especially those senators who found Kal-El's stay unwelcome.
...
Lucifer landed gently on to a high tower to look on the scene beneath him. The city was in chaos. Many were hiding, the living. While hundreds upon hundreds roamed the street with knives wounds, axe wounds, arrows and so on without any strain in movement. He heard a crash outside the city walls, but didn't bother looking as he already felt his companion and his dog standing next to him, dusting off the dirt from the hard landing.
"You have the gift of flight." The devil spoke with interest.
"A little."
He looked pointedly at the boy. "Let me guess, you don't know how to land?"
Ignoring the words he looked at the messed up city. "So...how do we do this?"
"Physically. You'll know it's not a human since humans won't be able to walk around with fresh fatal wounds." Kal was about to jump down when Lucifer grabbed him by thd shoulder. "Wait!"
"What is it?"
"Something's not right..." Lucifer looked around.
"What do you mean?" Kal asked confused.
"The only ranking demon I know is here is Squee, and he's neither that high nor inteligent. Someone else is playing behind the scenes." He rubbed his chin.
"Well I knew you would find out about your brother eventually."
"Neron." There was a scowl on the Devil's face as the winged man landed gracefully in front of him. The other 'angel' had smooth curly blonde hair and exuberant blue eyes. His was fairly built, and on the bulkier side when compared to Lucifer. His attire consisted of a greenish gold breast plate with a battle skirt with armour plates over. A sword was strapped on to his back and from the whole scenario, Kal-El knew that wasn't a regular weapon.
"And I see you brought help." The angel mocked.
"Neron, go back to hell."
"Why don't you?"
"Because I don't tip the natural order of things for my twisted pleasure."
"Says the angel who led a rebellion four minutes after his creation."
"I remember me ripping some traitorous pricks wings off. Oh they grew back, too bad I should have gone for your balls, oh right. You don't have any."
"Rrarggghh!" With a roar Neron drew his sword and crossed the distance to strike down Lucifer. Kal-El was about to intervene when Lucifer glowed and transformed his clothes into a black version of the armour the other fallen angel was wearing. He brought up his own sword and blocked the strike. "Die you bastard!"
"Kal-El! Go! Save the humans!" There was a moment of hesitation, but on seeing Lucifer knocking the other angel back, he jumped of the building. The result was immediate and quite convenient. The possessed dead humans swarmed towards him. He grabbed the axe from one of them and sliced the first one into two before getting a butcher's blade too. He sliced through the hordes while Krypto covered his back, ripping up throats, limbs and heads. Very soon, there were bodies littering the streets and all the demons slayed. He ripped open a flaming tavern where a dozen people were trapped, unable to go out and dangerous to stay in. They looked at him in shock as they came out before screaming at something behind him.
The one's he slayed got back up, not at all bothered by the lack of limbs or heads. Even the severed parts were moving and he realised this wasn't a conventional enemy he could defeat. But first, he looked at the humans he rescued. "Run! Any man who can walk normally with a fatal wound is one of them. Don't try to fight them, run! Find survivors and go!" They scurried away making him wonder whether they would listen. He turned to the charging horde before looking down to Krypto. "Krypto, I need you to rip them apart while I'll find a containment." The dog launched himself to mutilate the walking corpses further.
The Kryptonian launched himself up into the sky before aiming outside the city walls and thrust his fists forward as he approached the ground. A shockwave ruptured upon his contact to the ground. The result was a hundred deep crater with larger area cover, but the edges were sloped and he got up and dug the sides, turning it into a cylindrical one. Jumping out, he flew back to the fighting and roughly landed between the demons. Grabbing them one by one and throwing them to the well he made for them. Most of them fell accurately and those that tried to run back were caught by Krypto who came next go the giant well to make sure everyone fell in and none tried to climb back.
Back in the sky above the city, the two brothers clashed. The battle was one sided from the moment Neron locked swords with Lucifer, the latter's power and skill overwhelmed the angel just like the time he fought the Devil in the Silver City.
"I wonder Neron, father forgave you twice. First for siding with me, second for siding with the First Born which ultimately lead you to be my servant, yet you try to scorn him again."
"Y..you are one to talk!" He tried to make a body slam by but was caught and thrown down to the streets.
Lucifer landed infront of Neron, who laid in the crater he made and looked at him with hatred, his wings were broken and his face mangled. "I wanted freedom, you wanted chaos anarchy. I will never take an innocent life, but you claimed so-so many." The devil folded his wings and let the sword disappear from his hand.
The scowl on Neron's face faded into a wicked grin. "That's cute, caring for vermin. " He slowly got up to his feet. "And I know in a fight you would make quick work of me, afterall Amenadiel and you fought for quite some time." Lucifer narrowed his eyes, monitoring his brother carefully. "But my arrogance cost me blood that I could have saved." The night sky turned reddish rapidly.
"What have you done Neron."
"Oh Lucy, this isn't me. How would I know the spell to summon hell on to this plane."
Realisation struck the King of Hell. "Squee." He growled.
"Easy to recruit and dispose." "What's more convenient is the people here. Enough for blood sacrifices and enough for foot soldiers."
"You are a fool Neron, by bringing my domain to me, you only increased my power." Lucifer rushed to knock the angel back.
THUD!
His fist was neatly caught by the blonde man. "About that, when you were utterly humiliating me on the battlefield, I a managed to place a few of my own enchantments on you. You see, now, I have your powers. It is mine, so is hell." With that he brought his free hand to Lucifer and flicked him with his finger, sending the devil fly across the streets. Seeing his brother crash through buildings, although mildly satisfying, didn't give him the entire rush. He needed more.
"What have you done Neron...the more you take, the less you have." Lucifer coughed out. He looked up to see the blonde standing over him with a smirk, his face slowly cracking and from the looks of it, he didn't even know.
Before Lucifer could utter another word, Neron slammed his feet on to his brothers windpipe. "I feel great. So this is your power."
Damnit! Were it any other scenario, he would have gladly given up hell to anyone. But he knew if he did now, his soul will be trapped, punishing himself for giving in too early. But the problem was his strength has drained drastically and Demons were pouring in from the sky without even having to possess any.
"Uff!" Something slammed on Neron's back and sent him flying across several buildings.
"What the hell did you do Lucifer? I thought you were here to bring that fucking Squee?!" The strong female voice and the image of an ebony woman in armour padded garb made the angel smile.
The woman grabbed her boss, pulling him up. "Oh Maze you are a sight for my tired eyes." Lucifer chuckled at the flat look she gave. "He has taken my power."
"I noticed. I don't even feel like I have to follow you." She stated. "But unlike me all those siblings of mine are readily following their new King."
"Ah I knew you loved me-"
"Shut up. If comes to power then I'll have to torture according to his wish. Not mine."
"I am touched."
"Enough jokes. How do we stop this?"
"We need to find Squee and stop him from completing the spell."
"Wait, Squee? That bitch? Of all the demons he chose him?"
"Meh. Easy to control and manipulate."
"Oohh..."
"Mazikeen, Lucy's favourite demon cunt." The omniscient voice made them look into the sky above them where Neron stayed levitating. "I should have known you'll have your loyalty to him rather than me."
"Bitch please, I don't skip jobs. I'm the best there is and even your precious Lilith knows it." Therf was a scowl on his face. "Oh that's right, she broke your heart."
"We'll have to take him together to at least subdue him." Lucifer said just before the two jumped out of the way and let the new King smash into the ground. He went for the devil first, pouncing towards him with his sword out but was stopped by a hand that grabbed his foot and slammed him into the ground. Before he could turn to the demoness, Lucifer brought down his feet onto his head. Neron swiped his sword up, but Mazikeen blocked it with her daggers while Lucifer jumped off him and brought out his own sword. The duo fought and with pure skill only were they able to keep challenging the boosted up angel.
"It won't matter if you two can confine me, the infinite monsters from hell will soon come to my AID!" He shouted as he knocked Mazikeen back. Demons began to fly towards them, the sky now cackled with thunder as the red clouds began to circle above the city.
"Lucifer, I'm gonna need a larger vacation if we pull through this." Maze said as she watched Neron fly up and raise his hands as if spear heading the charge. But he stayed in the air, allowing the demons to go ahead of him.
"So do I..." The devil agreed, preparing to attack.
Just as the horde approached their former master and was only a few feet away, every single one of them vanished. The reddened sky began to clear, giving back it's cool night sky. No one was more surprised than the new King himself. Who stared at the environment around him.
"What's happening?! What have you done-aackkk!" Something plunged into his gut and he fell down like a rock, crashing into a fruit stall.
"Such a shame, I was wondering what those fruits were." Neron raised his head to see what's happening. One of Mazikeen's demon dagger was plunged into his gut and above him stood Lucifer in all his red devilish glory. The monstrous red beast with bat wings.
"Don't worry, you are still King." Mazikeen's voice shifted his blurring vision to her. "Till he does that." She smiled and the next thing he knew, a nerve wrecking pain shot through him. And it was over in a second, leaving him breathing hard. He knew that power he stole from his brother was back inside the real devil.
Getting his breath back, Neron tried to throw a threat. "Don't think you have won-" He gasped in agony when he felt the dagger being roughly pulled out. "Damn you bitch!" He howled.
"Can't keep my babies dirty. By that I meant you, trash." The demoness gave a lick on his cheek and pulled back before he could strike her.
"Actually you can thank Kal-El for your sudden loss of army." Lucifer chuckled as he reverted to his human form and motioned his palm towards the Kryptonian.
Anger spiralled inside the defeated Angel and he got up and rushed at the newcomer who he understood was the one responsible for his untimely defeat, he swung his fist at the boy but upon connecting with his jaw, he heard a crack but it was from the kryptonian's body, but of his own fist which was broken. Neron crumbled to the ground screaming in pain, holding his fist.
"I would have said 'don't do it' if you weren't such a bastard." Lucifer chuckled as he came next to the Kryptonian and gave a pat on his back. "Good show young Kal. You might have just saved the fragile order this place runs on."
"You are welcome?" He wasn't sure. "I ripped of a demon I thought was responsible. He was very odd, standing between red glowing pentagrams and all." The teen shrugged.
"Excellent well there's one more-" Lucifer's words were cut off by the shouting angel beneath them. "Excuse me." He gave a snap.
"This isn't over alien! Mark my words for I shall claim everything you hold dear, whether you are alive or not!" He shouted as a golden glow began to cover him before he sunk into the ground.
Kal-El stared at the ground where the angel sunk and then back at Lucifer. "He's going to come back, isn't he?"
"He's going to be kept in the special room for eternity and...yea," Lucifer sighed exasperated. "He is going to break out and come after you." He saw his new ally looking at his servant in suspicion. "Oh where are my manners, this is Mazikeen, she is my good friend and advisor."
The Demoness interrupted. "His torturer. I torture souls that have sinned."
Giving a nod, he informed of the possessed demons in the well outside that haven't gone back. The three walked out of the city. "Who was he?" Kal-El asked curiously.
"My younger sibling." Lucifer rubbed his forehead in annoyance. "When I rebelled against my old man, that prick betrayed me to avoid his wrath." They reached the well in no time where Krypto was pushing back those who managed to climb back in. "That friend of yours is just incredible." He marvelled the Kryptonian canine.
"Thanks I suppose, but how are you going to get these-" His words were cut of by a snap as the bodies fell life less.
"Now with hell back in order, I can do that. Earlier, it was difficult." Lucifer sighed before giving a once over look at the bodies of children and adults mangled up. "No matter what those stuck up celestial beings, god's snd Angels say about them, humans are extremely interesting. All these emotions and in such a small life span. There is no other place that can throw a party in the universe than the one where you live everyday like it's your last." He tapped his feet on the ground, making the edges collapse, burying the bodies.
"How did he ended up in hell?"
They left the city, walking east. "He stole my sister's sword...one that can kill celestial beings...he unleashed it into the mortal world. Thousands paid the price, innocents who didn't even know what heaven, earth and hell meant." There was a dark undertone as his eyes drifted into the past. He smiled, focusing back on the Kryptonian. "Then he met Zeus' first born, joined hands, Amenadiel and Zeus went on to stop them both, Zeus's cause was a liiittttle less noble than that of Amenadiel."
"Zeus had an evil son other than Ares?"
"Throw a stone and you'll hit five out of which 3 are evil. Thing is, the intensity and power. First born was prophesied to surpass him and take Olympus. And add to the fact that Hera was the mother, and there is little the child couldn't do." Lucifer paused thinking back to the day.
"His parents dumped him when he was a baby, went on to make the world's first tribal army in the land where man came from and then as he said." Maze cut the devil before he could continue.
"I was building up to that..." Lucifer grumbled. "Kal-El, I have to thank you for making it easy for us." He added.
"That I can agree."
Ignoring Maze, Lucifer continued. "Usually I am the one who gives out favours which I'll cash out on a later day. But here you done me one, so I'm in your debt. Name anything and if it is anything within my power, I shall do it."
"That is alright. I would have done it anyway."
"But I insist."
Seeing that the devil won't stop bothering him he said. "Will do what you do, save it for s future day." Lucifer chuckled while Maze snorted in amusement, whispering idiots under her breath.
"Well helloo hellooo..." Lucifer suddenly shifted his attention from their discussion to the forest line.
"What is it? I can't see, it's that magic thing."
"Oh right, here." Without warning Lucifer placed his palm over Kal-El's head roughly. A shock went through him. "You won't be able to scan brings like me, but you can definitely see through trees and barriers." And he did. A knight of some sort was fighting a horde of demons near a large tree.
"What's going on over there?"
"Ready for some rumble?"
Gilgamesh, the king of kings, two-thirds god and one-third man, a physique that placed him above any knight and strength that shook the ground. But there won't be a great King without some darkness. His was that of an oppressor, a philander and a slaver. Countless wedding nights tarnished and the his ands taken as slaves to work for his expanding Kingdom but in the end, choosing not to bed the Goddess Ishtar brought him to his misery. Once he prided himself to be more god than man, but now his fearful existence haunt him more than any mortal. His quest was to search for Utnapishtim, the only one to survive death.
Boar demons, without doubt, sent by the Goddess he scorned rushed at him from every direction. He couldn't understand why she would hunt him, even after his fall. He lost everything, including his sanity, yet she pursued him relentlessly. Were it a year ago, he would have gladly taken a hundred more of these demons, but back then he was driven, he had a sworn friend who covered his back and death wasn't known to him. Maybe it was time to end it?
"Alright then, you go right, I'll go left." The sudden voice made him whip around, almost letting a demon crush him under it's fang, but all of the fifty or so monsters fell to the ground dead within seconds and in front of him stood two men and a woman. Then he heard a growl and saw a white dog, only a fourth of the demon in size but dragging one by the neck.
"Krypto, put it down. We don't know what's in it." The younger of the two men commanded. Although reluctant, the canine obeyed and came to his master's side.
"I thank you brave travellers. You and your son-"
"Firstly, I'm not old enough to be his father and I'm not his father. Secondly dear Gilgamesh, don't thank us or try to show us your gratitude, we don't want any." Kal-El looked at the Devil in surprise, this was after all his thing, the whole 'i scratch your back, you scratch mine'. Sensing the confusion, Lucifer began. "You see dear Kal, this man is King Gilgamesh, the King of Kings, the Slayer of the demigod Humbaba and the bull of heaven Gugalanna. A mighty hero...who rapes women on their wedding night and enslave their husbands."
Then it rang. He had heard about these men, while the world hailed them, Themyscira rejected them. "Then why did we help him?"
"Because...death is too simple for him. And, to prove the point that the Devil doesn't whisper evil into their ears. It's all their choices. Imagine, if I let him die, you'll consider it as my truck to take another soul." He made air quotes.
"Then I believe you are opposing my view dear angel."
"Oh for my father's sake..." Lucifer rolled his eyes before giving a flirtatious smile. "Come on Issy, I thought we were past formalities after we made love last night." Kal-El cringed at that revelation even before looking at the armoured woman. She had fiery red hair that seemed to be wrapped around a golden tiara studded with magical stones, her purple eyes glowed with fire, both of passion and war. She was beyond any earthly definition of beauty with large perky breasts and a voluptuous figure. And upon seeing the sword she held, in her braced arm, it would be awfully difficult to seperate her from his Queens, except for the fact that they don't possess the goddess' glow.
"Then you should've stayed in my bedchamber and avoided interfering with this scums life."
"Oh dear Issy, it wouldn't matter if I stayed there or not, my dear companion here would still interfere." And just like that, he was brought to the attention of the Goddess who till then ignored him. Her eyes scrutinized him and he mentally resisted from covering his chest and privates with his arms.
Mustering up his shaken spirit, Kal-El tried to greet the entity. "Hello-" He was cut of by Lucifer's palm in front of his face and the sound of flesh being torn. At a speed that caught him off-guard, the Goddess of War and Sex tried to plunge her long sword into his face. And for some reason, he knew that sword would be successful were it not for the Devil's intervention. He heard a hiss and a murmured curse before he and Krypto jumped back to gain some distance.
There was a sudden thud as a giant dark figure landed in the clearing. He was massive, bald and intimidating. "Enough!" The command made every one to focus on him.
"Amenadiel!" Lucifer cheerfully greeted, but he sensed a bit a resentment playfully hidden.
"I am Amenadiel, the fury- Lucy..." The large dark bald man with wings stopped, clearly annoyed by Lucifer's sudden mention of his name and preventing his introduction.
"Aren't you a sight for sore eyes, brother." He sarcastically spoke. "You came here to ask me to go to hell?"
"I came here to ask you to- oh for father's sake! Stop doing that!" It was obvious to the audience the two weren't exactly the best of brothers... "Stop interrupting me!"
"Yea yea, alright." His hair changed into thin blonde strands and orange dust was on his face, leaving a gap at his eyes and mouth. "I just wanted to meet this guy who's gonna do fantastic things. He's gonna be great. Tremendous, the world's gonna change and it's going to be so amazing. And lemme tell you something, he's gonna rip through those hot outer space pussy."
"What?" Kal-El asked at the strange way the devil sounded and all those references he nor the others could follow.
"Ok, no." Lucifer changed back to his own voice. "Maybe the last parts a stretch, he's too much of a monogamous kinda guy." He shrugged, the blonde hair and orange dust on his face disappearing.
"Lucy what are you doing?" The archangel questioned him, clearly not amused by his antics. "You know what, don't explain, just go to hell and stay there."
"I have a feeling that is going to be used in a non literal way." Lucifer flatly stated.
"Lucy..." Amenadiel growled.
"Fine, no need to nag me any further, I'll leave just after winding things up here." He left towards Kal and Maze.
Amenadiel turned to the seething Goddess who was deciding whether to attack the King or all of whom stood. "Goddess Ishtar. Please listen to your divine wisdom and leave. " The ebony angel bowed to the Goddess.
"Amenadiel, they call you the Fury of God." She turned to face him, a sinister smirk forming on her face. "I hear you are the greatest warrior in the Silver City."
"Debatable!"
Ignoring the out burst from the Devil, Ishtar continued. "Why don't we make a-"
"No. I don't make bets, deals or assumptions. That's why there's Lucifer. Also I deeply apologize for the damage caused in Enlil's city."
"Now you see why no one likes him." Lucifer chuckled while nudging Kal-El. "Bit of a Kill joy that man."
"What is wrong with all of you?" The Kryptonian harshly whispered. "We have been here for some time and I still cannot make heads or tales on what you are all talking about."
"You know what, we will go for drink the next time we see eachother." He placed a hand on his shoulder and gave friendly squeeze. "I can't think properly when I'm sober."

I wanted Supes to finish Neron off, but that would be overkill. Besides, this way he'll have more of a reason to target Supes in the future. All that hate to a man who didn't even come to trading blows. It's like a "tricked and furious" situation.
And I'm going to take a longer route for Heracles, cus the Amazon Queen can't be shown as such a naive character.
