Attack of Savage Monster and Slayers?

"Well, today has been full of surprises, huh?" Liddy asked as she, Shadow, Hayato, and Sakura are riding the bus together.

"Yep, finding out more about my past that I have two brothers and meeting my young sister, but there is something that's been bothering me." Shadow said.

"What's that?" Liddy asked.

"When Sakura mentioned Vitaly Tynyanov being the mastermind of the experiments, I'm getting a weird feeling that she's actually been ordered to do them by someone else." Shadow stated.

"You mean someone is ordering Vitaly?" Liddy shocked.

"I don't know, my memories are still hazy." Shadow said, he feels like there was something else he has to remember.

Then suddenly the bus got hit that made it crash, luckily, no one was hurt.

"What was that?" Sakura asked.

"I'm not sure." Hayato said and they look up seeing a Savage on top of a cliff.

"Damn it, a Savage is here." Shadow grunted.

The Savage fires an energy blast that causes some explosion and making the bus roll over as everyone held onto their seats, once the rolling stop everyone became scared as the Slayers look to see the Savage towering over the bus.

"Come on, we're gonna have to fight it to protect the passengers here." Shadow stated.

"Just be careful, using our Hundred without the variable suits will be a huge dive." Liddy warned.

"It's a risk we're gonna have to take, but I know we can beat it if we work together." Hayato believed.

"Hundred on, Go!" The three Slayers summoned their weapons and limb armored.

Shadow and Hayato charge at the Savage from both sides striking its claws while Liddy uses her drill-lance to pierce through the weak spot, but the Savage saw that coming and fire an energy beam at her though she dodges it and strike inside the mouth right next to the beam cannon. This causes the Savage to screech in pain as Shadow perform his Spin Dash Slash attack to push the Savage with enough force to crash it against the stone wall and Hayato knock it back with an uppercut slash, but the Savage wouldn't go down.

"Look out, it's about to fire again!" Liddy alerted.

"Protect the people!" Shadow yelled.

"Wait, you guys force on the offense." Sakura said as she runs to them.

"Sakura, no it's too dangerous!" Shadow warned, but she didn't listen.

"Hundred on, Go!" Sakura summoned her wings and got in front of the three, blocking the energy beam with her forcefield.

"I know I can't fight like you guys, but I can help fend this thing off. Get going!" Sakura determined.

"You're a stubborn one, you know that?" Shadow commented.

"I guess I got it from you." Sakura giggled.

"Alright, let finish it off!" Shadow declared, Hayato and Liddy agreed.

They charge at the Savage to kill it: Shadow and Liddy hold off the claws while Hayato after charging up his sword destroy the core with one swing breaking through the shell.

The Savage fell and the Slayers stand in victory.

"Hooray! My fiancé's the best! It's like I'm falling in love with you all over again!" Sakura cheered hugging Hayato.

"Quit hugging me like that. I think people might get the wrong idea." Hayato said, feeling a little embarrass as his cheeks blush.

"Yeah, they might think we're getting married or something." Sakura giggled.

"If you keep saying things like that out loud, then your fan will think you're getting married." Shadow stated.

Then Liddy heard a something close and turns around to where the sound is coming from.

"Buckle up, boys. This fight isn't over yet." Liddy said.

Just as she said, another giant Savage appears and fires an energy beam at them, and Sakura uses her shield again only this time Shadow helps her, and they manage to fend if off.

"This Savage might be tougher than the last one." Shadow said.

"Then we better kill it harder." Liddy suggested.

Then the Savage was hit by an energy blast, the four were confuse until they look up seeing the shooter to be none other than Fritz with his Hundred sniper gun.

"Fritz!" Hayato said, happy to see him.

"Don't forget about me!" Reitia entered the scene slamming her fist to the ground sending an energy wave that knocked the Savage down.

Emilia came charging in and sliced the Savage's right arm clean off making it screeches in pain.

"Looks like we got here right on time." Emilia said, then gasp upon seeing how close Hayato and Sakura are.

"We could have handle it ourselves, but thanks for coming." Shadow shrugged.

"Yeah, thanks a lot." Hayato nodded, then Emilia came between him and Sakura separating them.

"You're lucky I'm here to save your butt after the way you ditched me today." Emilia pounced, Hayato realizes this and apologizes.

"Hmm, Sakura, when exactly did you meet with Hayato?" Shadow asked.

"I met him at the fortune after sneaking out of the hotel." Sakura answered honestly.

"Did you know he was hanging out with a friend during that time?" Shadow asked another question.

"I found him alone, I just wanted to spend some time with my honey." Sakura playfully winked and Shadow sigh.

"Okay, Liddy and I will cut off the legs. Emile and Hayato, you two deal with the arms. When Fritz shoots the shield where the core is, Reitia will deal with the finishing blow." Shadow ordered.

"Right!" Everyone nodded.

Hayato and Emilia charges at the Savage as it swings its right claw to kill them but they dodge and Hayato cut off that arm while Emilia change her weapon to a big sword and slashes the other arm off. Shadow and Liddy and ran fast to slice and drill through the legs making it fall and lean on the rock wall. Fritz aim his gun carefully at the spot where the core is and shot the energy bullet to make some cracks, and finally Reitia jumps high with a mighty scream doing a dive-kick that broke through the shell, but she didn't break the core.

"(I could break all the way through!)" Reitia thought gasped.

"I'll finish it off!" Emilia said as she forms as arrow and shot an energy blast, but to everyone's surprise the Savage block it with its reform arm.

"What the fuck?" Shadow shocked seeing the Savage regrow all its limbs.

"It looks like it's healing!" Reitia shocked too.

"Must be a regenerator." Emilia believed.

"A what, now?" Hayato and Shadow confused.

"We learned about them in class. They're a special kind of Savage that can nurse their own wounds." Emilia explained.

"Great, we got ourselves an annoying one." Shadow exclaimed.

"We'll have to work fast on destroying the core, we will destroy the limbs then Shadow and Hayato will take the final blow. Is that alright with you, Emile?" Liddy asked.

"Sure, I was gonna suggest they take point." Emile nodded.

"Sakura, you stay back and keep those people safe." Shadow ordered.

"I will, I know you and Hayato are powerful enough to take down that monster down in no time flat!" Sakura smiled.

"Well then, I'll be sure to give it my all." Hayato determined, then gasp when Emilia brought large scissors close to his neck.

"How cute, you seem awfully close with your client." Emilia said jealous.

"N-No way, we're just friends!" Hayato clarified.

"Hey, would you NOT do that in front of my sister?" Shadow asked.

"Huh, you're sister?" Emile puzzled.

"Talk later, killing Savage first!" Liddy said as she charges at the Savage and drill the right arm off.

Fritz provided some covering firing shooting at the Savage to distract it while Reitia karate chop the left arm and Emilia blitz slashes the legs making the monster fall on its back.

Shadow and Hayato jump high to slash at the core, but they were swipe away when the Savage's left arm regrew again.

"Hayato!" Emilia worried.

"That isn't fair. How does it regenerate so quickly?" Reitia annoyed.

The Savage charges up its energy attack aiming at Shadow and Hayato as try to get up quickly but fear they won't get out of the way in time.

"That's enough!" Sakura cried and strangely, the Savage turn its sight on her.

"(It reacted to her voice?)" Shadow and Hayato thought confused, but they see this as an opening and charge up above the beast.

But then Shadow saw two figures coming at them fast and his instincts are warning him they're danger.

"Hayato, look out!" Shadow pushed Hayato down and block two attacks with his sword.

"Well, well, looks like you're more alerted as ever, Shadow." One of them smirked and they push each other.

"Shadow, you okay?" Hayato asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Let's worry about those guys." Shadow pointed at the attackers.

One boy has a similar hair style like Shadow's only the color is green-hued fur color and blue eyes. He wears a jet-black variable suit and a pair of slash marks on his torso. He holds a curved, bat wing shape sword.

The other one is dark-skinned young man at least a little younger compared to Hayato with dark brown unkempt hair and tied in the back and black eyes. He also wears a jet-black variable suit with glowing green lines. He holds an enormous black twin-blade linked to one another via their pommel.

"Who the heck are those glowing guys?" Emilia asked.

"Hey Scourge, you saw how the Savage responded to that girl?" One boy asked curious.

"I did, Krovanh. Didn't think she could do something like that." Scourge smirked.

"Wait, Scourge? Is that really you, Scourge!" Sakura called out.

"Sakura, do you know that guy?" Shadow asked.

"Yeah, like us, he was one of the children trapped in that lab we went through. However, he actually enjoys the treatment and beating the other kids to near death as he is the most violent one there." Sakura explained.

"Not to mention, he would lose to you in a fight." Sakura added.

"I be careful if I were you, singing bitch. Otherwise you're going lose to your voice again, and this time it'll be permanent." Scourge angered.

One girl landed about ten feet in front of Shadow. She is a dark-skinned young woman with short dark brown hair that looks to almost like animal ears and a black eye, she also wears an eyepatch that covers her right one. She wears a jet-black variable suit like the two boys. Breasts sizes: D-cup.

"Trace on, Go." The girl said as her eyepatch open, revealing her other eye to be a golden eye as it glows and materialize a sword that looks similar to Shadow's.

"(An artificial eye?)" Shadow thought guessed.

The Savage got back up and fires an energy beam at Krovanh, but he slices it in half splitting the beam in two while he and Scourge stand in the middle.

"Oh no!" Sakura gasped is she's about to form a barrier, but another girl jumps in doing the defense herself.

This girl is a dark-skinned petite young woman with dark purple hair tied in twintails and black eyes. She is also shown to be dressed in a jet-black variable. She also holds a pair of black chakram. Breasts sizes: B-cup.

"Sorry, did I stole your thunder?" That girl mocked Sakura.

"Focus, Nakri." The eyepatch girl said as she jumps on the Savage's head and stabs the core, she continues doing so to no end.

"Hey, if you keep covering yourself in that stuff, you're gonna lose your mind!" Reitia warned.

"No, I don't think she will." Shadow said confusing his friends.

"What do you mean?" Liddy asked.

"I'm saying these guys are Variant, like me and Hayato." Shadow revealed.

"Hahahaha! Man, I guess you have gotten a little smarter too. That's right, me and these three squirts are Variant, but better versions." Scourge explained.

"Hey, don't give away information about us, you idiot!" Nakri yelled.

"What's harm in doing that? Nesat is almost finish getting the Savage cores and then we'll be on our way." Scourge shrugged.

"If that's the case…" Shadow blitz past the two male enemies and appear in front of Nesat much to her shock.

"We'll take them ourselves!" Shadow swing his sword as Nesat block his attack though got push back.

"Whoa, how the fuck did he do that?" Krovanh gasped.

"Damn bastard, you're as fast as ever." Scourge glared.

"I'm going to enjoy this!" Scourge charged at Shadow and the two clash their swords.

Hayato charge into two clashing his blade against Krovanh while Emilia deals with Nakri.

"Tell, is there another boss you work for besides Vitaly?" Shadow asked.

"Why the fuck should I tell you anything? You and everyone around will all be dead!" Scourge proclaimed as he swings his sword furiously.

"Chaos Slash" Shadow fired a powerful slash blast at Scourge who fired his own energy slash that clashed, and they explode.

"Not bad, even without the variable suit you're still a monster as ever." Scourge commented.

"Takes one to know one." Shadow said.

"As much as I love kill you, we only came here for the cores." Scourge speeded toward two of the dead Savage and taken their cores out.

"I won't let you!" Shadow dashed toward Scourge slashing his sword making the green-haired guy drop one core as Scourge jumps back.

"Fuck! You always had to ruin my fun, do you!" Scourge growled, stomping his foot.

"You know, I'm starting to remember how much of a cry baby you are with that temper." Shadow insulted making Scourge angry.

Scourge was about to attack Shadow again, but Krovanh got in front of him.

"Forget, we have to at least get one core for the mission." Krovanh stated.

"Find, you're lucky this time, Shadow. But make no mistake, you'll be dead the next time we meet!" Scourge promised before he and the others got away.

"Man, those guys were tough." Hayato panted.

"Should we go after them?" Fritz asked.

"No, I think it would be best to let them go for now." Emilia said.

"Hey Sakura, was there another scientist besides Vitaly in charge of the lab we were in?" Shadow asked.

"Huh, I think so, though I can't remember the name." Sakura said.

"I see, looks like we'll be up against something dangerous." Shadow stated.

(Claire's Office)

"From your description, it sounds like you encountered a rogue poaching group, Hunters." Claire mentioned.

"What are those?" Hayato asked.

"They're Slayers in the conventional sense, but they work as mercenaries for criminal organizations." Erica answered.

"We've uncovered a Savage corpse in the wasteland. The state in which we found it was disturbing." Chris showed a video imagine of the dead Savage body.

"The core had been taken. Forcibly." Liddy added.

"So, you think they did it?" Hayato asked.

"I'm led to believe that's the case." Claire nodded.

"But wait, why would they steal the cores?" Emilia asked confuses. That's when Charlotte spoke.

"Simple: A Savage core and a variable stone have remarkably similar molecular structures." Charlotte explained.

"Hold it! These students don't have proper security clearance!" Claire stated.

"What's the point of keeping it a secret after everything that's happened? Besides, they're gonna find out sooner or later. Maybe if I tell them now, they could become a valuable resource." Charlotte pointed out.

Claire let out a sigh knowing the little scientist made a valuable point.

"So, it is possible for a Savage core to be reconfigured to function like a regular Hundred would?" Fritz asked.

"Correct. A core basically has the same intrinsic value that a variable stone has. They sell for a similar price too. Any country having enough of either could entirely tip the scales of global power to their side." Charlotte explained.

"(So, Vitaly and the other boss want to those cores to make themselves powerful. Meaning we'll have to be prepare for whatever danger they throw at us and I'll be settling the score with them once and for all.)" Shadow thought looked out of the window determined.

Shadow and his friends have survived two Savage attacks, but they also met a group of Hunters trying to take the cores. Including one from Sakura and Shadow's past who was also in the lab, Scourge as this alert Shadow to be on guard for whatever the evil group is up to and Shadow suspects that there's another mastermind working behind the scene, probably even behind Vitaly herself.

Next chapter, Hayato and Shadow will get some well deserve break from all the fighting and training, and maybe some more fun too!
