Giving Comfort - Fon
Disclaimer ~ I do not own Katekyo Hitman Reborn
*Fon's side of things when comforting Skull*
Fon was getting worried. Skull was late. Skull was almost never late, and the few times he was he would call ahead and tell them. It was Skull's belief that if you didn't arrive early, then you were late. So when seven minutes passed with no sign of Skull, Fon went looking for him.
What he found nearly sent the storm into a rage. A group of thugs were beating a person to the ground. But not just any person. Those thugs were beating on Skull. Fon won't let that slide.
He charged through the group and yanked the ones off Skull before they even realized someone was there. He tossed them into a wall before turning his attention towards Skull.
"Ah. Fon-senpai! Sorry I'm late," Skull apologized. Fon internally sighed. That was something he both loved and hated about Skull. He always put others before himself.
"It's alright Skull," Fon said. "How about I take care of things here and we go get lunch?" Fon suggested. After that he would be teaching Skull some more self defense techniques. Fon felt his rage renew when he saw Skull wince. This time he didn't bother to contain it.
Fon made sure to give these thugs a beating ten times worse than what they gave Skull. To borrow a phrase from his grandson, they were bitten to death. Since Fon wanted them to suffer, he refrained from actually killing them, but they wouldn't recover from their injuries any time soon.
"That was awesome senpai!" Skull exclaimed. Fon could have sworn there were stars in his eyes as he spoke.
"Thank you. Are you okay?" Fon asked as he stepped over a thug's body and crouched down at Skull's side. Skull's arm was definitely broken. The bone hadn't broken through the skin but there was an unnatural bump in his arm from it.
Skull listed his injuries immediately. Broken arm, possible broken ribs, and a lot of bruises. Fon would have Reborn check him over just in case. But right now he would do what he could
"We will need to take care of your arm, otherwise it's going to hurt a lot more later," Fon told the cloud. Skull's face scrunched as if he smelt something unpleasant.
"Yeah. I know. I really, really hate this part," Skull replied. "I'm a stuntman. I've crashed several times before and the least severe usually was a broken arm," Skull explained seeing Fon's confusion.
"Ahh," Fon said in response. He filed that piece of information away for later. "I may not be Reborn but I can set the bone until we get to him," Fon said.
"Alright," Skull agreed reluctantly. "Hopefully it will be healed by then. As long as you get the bone aligned. N-not that I doubt you Fon-senpai!" Skull was getting flustered, which had Fon releasing a breath of laughter. The storm placed his hands on Skull's arm in preparation for what he was about to do.
"Not to worry Skull. I would probably say the same thing," Fon reassured the other, keeping a close eye on Skull's expression. Once Skull started to relax, Fon snapped the bone back in place with one quick motion. Skull tensed up immediately, biting his lip hard enough to draw blood.
"C-can I get a warning next time?" Skull panted lightly once the sudden pain had receded.
"My apologies. I felt the waiting would have been worse," Fon explained. In actuality, he just wanted to get Skull treated as soon as possible. Skull gave Fon a deadpanned look.
"You are secretly a sadist aren't you?" he questioned. Fon chuckled.
"Maybe," he responded. Fon helped Skull stand and made sure to stay close as Skull cautiously took a few steps.
"Yeah...I'm pretty sure I'm going to feel this in the morning," Skull joked. But it had the opposite effect of making Fon worry more. Skull probably sensed this for her said, "can we get food now senpai? The great Skull-Sama is hungry."
"Only if we see Reborn immediately after," Fon bargained. He would be messaging the sun in a few minutes, who would probably show up during their meal to be able to check up on Skull.
Skull sighed, realizing Fon wasn't going to let him out of a checkup. "Fine. But senpai is treating," Skull told him. Fon blinked at the almost familiar saying. A horrified look appeared on Skull's face. "Oh no. I sound like Viper," Skull said. Fon couldn't help but laugh at his expression. Skull looked as if someone had kicked his puppy in front of him. A few seconds later, Skull joined Fon in his laughter. It wasn't as hysterical as normal, because Fon rarely laughed more than a chuckle and because Skull's ribs were still healing.
Wow. It's been forever since I've updated this fic. I actually feel bad for forgetting about this fic. It's my baby and the fic that really got me into writing a lot more. I'm going to try working on it a bit more frequently now though so hopefully that makes up for it.
As always, I am still taking requests for this. Same with all my oneshot fics. If you request something I will be writing it down on my prompt list and working on it as I go down the list. So you may request something but I might not get to it until 200 chapters later because I just went down the list of prompts. Skull is a very popular guy apparently.
I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! Please continue to Review, Follow, and Favorite! I'll see you all again the next update!
