Chapter 116: Living Legacy

Hey everyone I'm back with a new chapter. Now I'm sure many of you figured out who the characters I'm bringing in from the last chapter, but I have a few more surprises in store including the introduction of one of my favorite characters. It had been a week since Chase had become a student at Ever After High and it was taking him a while to adjust and Roxas was adjusting to having a roommate.

In the Evil Queen's Defense against the Darkness class, everyone was watching the Evil Queen walk around Raven.

"Now Raven what were the three biggest mistakes that you made last time?" Evil Queen asks.

"Uh caught by surprise." Raven said taking a fighting stance.

"What else?" Evil Queen asks.

"My defense spell wasn't the best choice." Raven said.

"And the last and most important one?" Evil Queen asks stopping in front of Raven.

"Uh…" Raven pauses to think and the Evil Queen uses this opening to blast her into the air before the Evil Queen fires a second spell making a beanbag chair to cushion Raven's fall.

"Not learning from the first two." Evil Queen smirks causing the class to chuckle.

"Wow the Evil Queen's class is a total hit." Brooke smiles.

"This new job has certainly helped her get some of her magic back." The male narrator said.

"Not to mention she seems to enjoy the attention." The female narrator said as the bell rang.

"Alright class, that's it for today. Be sure to study the lessons and Raven try and learn from your mistakes this time." Evil Queen said as Raven stood up.

"Yes Prof. Queen." Raven smirks.

"Class is over sweetie you can call me mom." Evil Queen smiles.

"One of these days I'm gonna send you flying." Raven vows.

"We'll have a party when you do," Evil Queen chuckles as Raven walks out.

"Boy Raven your mom really got you this time." Briar said as she and Rosabella walked up to her.

"For now. How'd she learn to get her magic back anyway?" Raven asks.

"Apparently you've been a bit of an inspiration to your mom. Seeing you at the Grand Magic Games made her want to get back into it." Rosabella said.

"And all it took was Xehanort to make me and my mom come together." Raven chuckles when they saw Ginger waving at them.

"Hey Ginger what's up?" Raven asks.

"A new club is opening up this weekend in Book End." Ginger said causing Briar to smile.

"A new club? Sweet. I am so going." Briar said before running off.

"Where are you off to?" Rosabella asks.

"Where do you think? To go get my date." Briar smiles.

"Sounds like Roxas will be joining us." Ginger smirks.

"Text us the time and we'll see you there." Rosabella said.

"You got it." Ginger nods.

'Hmm maybe I should ask Dexter if he wants to join us.' Raven thought.

Down the hall, Roxas was carrying 5 textbooks to his locker as he tried to get the combination.

"Almost…got it." Roxas said when his hand slipped and the books fell to the ground. "I did not miss this when I was in Fiore." Roxas sighs.

"Need a hand?" Briar asks walking over.

"Please and thank you." Roxas nods as she helps him pick up his books.

"Headmaster Grimm still putting you through Headmaster Bootcamp training?" Briar asks.

"He's not as bad as you think. The old man's just making sure I'm ready to take over when he steps down." Roxas said putting them all inside.

"Well look at you. What happened to the Roxas that locked horns with him every chance he could?" Briar giggles.

"People can change if they want to, even a stubborn old man like him." Roxas chuckles.

"So Roxas a new club is opening this weekend. Wanna come with me?" Briar asks.

"Briar Beauty, are you asking me on a date?" Roxas asks.

"Depends on your answer." Briar said when Roxas pecks her on the lips.

"How's that?" Roxas asks causing her to smile before taking his arm and leading him away.

That weekend, Roxas, Briar, Raven, Dexter, Rosabella and Ginger were in line to the new club titled Living Legacy.

"Wow, this place is looks fableous." Raven said.

"I hope we can get in." Dexter said.

As they walked in line they heard a few people whispering and looking at them.

"Uh guys I think we're turning a few heads." Rosabella said.

"Maybe they watched Blondie's videos of the Grand Magic Games." Briar said as Roxas walked up to the front.

"How many?" A female voice asks.

"Uh 6 please." Roxas said as the figure inside examined him and gasped.

"Oh my gosh the Forever After Fighters!" The voice said as they stepped out to reveal a young girl duck with a pink bow, purple skirt and blue shirt. This was Webby.

"Wait you know us?" Raven asks.

"Of course, I've seen all your mission videos on Blondie Lockes' website and I've seen them all. I'm Webby by the way uh let's see…Raven Queen, my favorite fight of yours was when you beat the stuffing out of Krampus in Christmas Town, Rosabella Beauty when you and Daring took on Gaston in Beast's Castle, Dexter Charming when you tackled a freaking shark in Atlantica, Briar Beauty when you took on Davy Jones in Caribbean, Roxas Twilight oh man I don't even know where to start Vanitas, Natsu, Sting, Rogue I could go all day and Ginger Breadhouse, you're new to the whole fighting game but I think you'll be awesome too." Webby said pointing at each one of them.

"Aww thank you." Ginger smiles.

"Can I have your autographs?" Webby asks taking a quick photo when the door opened to reveal an elderly, muscular duck lady with glasses. This was Mrs. Beakley.

"Webbigale what is going on out here? We need to keep the line moving." She said.

"Oh sorry Granny got a little excited." Webby said when Mrs. B noticed the Forever After Fighters and smiled.

"Well aren't you gonna let them in?" She asks.

"Oh right. Here you go, have fun." Webby said handing each of them a ticket.

"Thank you." Briar said as they walked in.

"Wow, apparently we now we have fans." Dexter said.

"Boy this is way different than people running from me when I entered the room." Raven admits.

"May I take your coat?" A voice asks.

Looking over they saw a large duck in an aviator's outfit, but he appeared to be tied up in other people's coats as well. This was Launchpad McQuack.

"Uh need some help?" Dexter asks.

"Launchpad what are you doing?" Walking over we see Mrs. Beakley helping him free.

"Sorry Mrs. B." Launchpad said.

"Wow lot of ducks in this place." The Male Narrator said.

"Wonder if they know Donald." Brooke said.

In the main room, the 6 of them looked to see a giant dance floor with an awesome DJ station, tables lined up around the edges with delicious-looking food and even a movie room.

"Okay if no one gets hurt we are so coming back here." Briar said.

"Oh yeah." Roxas said grabbing her arm and pulling Briar onto the dance floor.

"Hey Raven what do you say we check this out?" Dexter suggests.

"Sounds fun." Raven smiles as they followed after them.

"Guess it's just you and me." Ginger smiles.

"How about we get something tasty?" Rosabella suggests.

At a table, Ginger and Rosabella sat down when a young purple girl with black hair walks up. This was Violet Sabrewing.

"Hi there, can I take your order?" Violet asks.

"Uh yeah what do you recommend?" Rosabella asks.

"Well the chef's special is pretty good." Violet said.

"Surprises are fun, I'll take that." Ginger said.

"Hey Lena, one special and two drinks!" Violet calls out.

"You got it!" At the counter a duck with long hair, a green and black sweatshirt walked over with two drinks. This was Lena Sabrewing.

On the dance floor, Roxas and Briar were dancing to the music.

"Come on Roxas!" Briar laughs.

"Briar you know I'm not the best dancer." Roxas said.

"I don't care, just have some fun." Briar said dancing to the beat.

"This is one of the girls I've chosen to love." Roxas shrugs before copying her dance moves.

"Pfft you call that dancing?" Roxas looks down to see a duck boy with a blue t-shirt and long sleeve shirt combo dancing nearby. This was Dewey. "This is dancing."

Down the hall, Raven and Dexter had gotten two colorful and crazy drinks.

"Whoa, what are these?" Raven asks.

"Apparently they called these things Wild Rainbow." Dexter said they took a sip.

"Wow, that's pretty good." Raven said when they look to see the drink had dyed their mouths multiple colors.

Looking at each other both Raven and Dexter burst into laughter.

"Sorry Raven but rainbows are not your color." Dexter points.

"Right back at ya." Raven points.

"Hey can we get some napkins over here?" Dexter asks.

"Right here." A small voice said.

Looking down they saw two duck boys. One with a red shirt and a cap and one with a green hoodie. These were Huey and Louie.

"That'll be 200 Munny." Louie said.

"For two napkins?" Dexter asks.

"Louie knock it off." Huey said.

"Come on Huey. These go everywhere they gotta have a couple thousands on them." Louie said.

Grabbing the napkins Huey hands it to them.

"Sorry about my brother. He tends to think for himself a lot." Huey said.

"I've got siblings too, they can be hard to deal with." Dexter said.

At the table, Lena and Violet placed two plates down for Ginger and Rosabella.

"Here you go, Club Sandwich for you." Violet said placing a sandwich in front of Rosabella.

"And Chef's Special for you." Lena said placing a delicious looking rice bowl in front of Ginger.

"Wow." Ginger looked at it and saw nice cuts of meat and veggies drizzled with a soft sauce over a bed of rice.

Grabbing a fork Ginger took a bite and smiles. "Wow, this is beyond hextacular."

"Yeah our cook is a wiz with this stuff." Lena said as Ginger stood up.

"Where is the kitchen by any chance?" Ginger asks.

"Over there." Violet points as Ginger walked away.

Entering the kitchens, Ginger sniffed the air and sighed at the amazing smell.

"Uh excuse me I was wondering if I could see the chef?" Ginger calls out.

"Yeah hang on!" A male voice said.

Ginger waited patiently when she heard a squeaking and saw a blue rat scurrying across the counters to her. This was Remy.

"Oh wow, that's bad." The male narrator said.

"Rat in the kitchen!" The female narrator said.

Squeaking Remy waves at her causing Ginger to scream.

"Why is there a rat in the kitchen?!" Ginger asks summoning her weapon about to squash him when suddenly a pair of hands grabs Remy and pulls him out of the way.

"Stop! Stop! Don't hurt him!" Ginger looks up to see a teenage boy with messy dark blue hair, blue eyes and an apron. This was Rin Okumura.

"What are you talking about?" Ginger asks.

"This rat is my sous chef." Rin said when Remy whacks him with his tail. "Ow! Okay fine I'm his sous chef."

"Wait what?" Ginger asks confused.

"It's true." Turning around Ginger saw an elderly duck with a cane and a tophat, this was Scrooge McDuck. "These two are some of the finest cooks I could find."

"Uh hi there." Ginger said.

"Hi there, Scrooge McDuck. I run this place." Scrooge said.

"Rin Okumura and this is Remy." Rin said.

"Oh uh sorry about trying to squash you." Ginger said as Remy shrugs saying it happens all the time.

"Hey wait, I know you. You're Ginger Breadhouse. I've seen your recipes on Blondie's website." Rin said.

"You have?" Ginger asks.

"Yeah, I gotta say it's really cool meeting you. I read your mom's story and I think it's amazing how you wanna cook for others and make them happy." Rin smiles.

"Aww thanks." Ginger blushes.

"Anyway did you like my food? Is that why you wanted to see us?" Rin asks.

"Yeah it was delicious." Ginger said.

"Thanks, listen we got to get back to work but I'd love to meet with you later and compare recipes if you'd like." Rin offers.

"Sure." Ginger nods.

"Alright you two get cooking!" Scrooge said as Rin and Remy got back to work.

As Ginger walked to the doors, she looked back at Rin hard at work and couldn't help but smile at the thought of seeing him again.

"A chef and a baker, a perfect couple in the kitchen." Brooke giggles.

"Now lass, do you mind if I have a word with you and your friends?" Scrooge asks.

"Any particular reason?" Ginger asks.

"Just need to relay a message given to me…by Yen Sid." Scrooge said getting her attention.

At Ever After High, Donald was laying down in a hammock when a shadowy figure walked up to him.

"So this is what you've been up to." A female voice said causing his eyes to widen.

Standing up he saw a female duck in an aviator outfit and metal left leg. This was Della Duck, Donald's sister.

There was a brief silence between the two of them before they both exploded making the same angry noises.

"Where have you been?!" They both said.

"You were supposed to find the King and come right back home! That was almost 3 years ago!" Della yells.

"I did find the King but he needed me to help Sora!" Donald yells.

"Watch it mister just because I missed you doesn't mean I'm not mad at you!" Della yells.

"I missed you too you big dummy!" Donald yells.

There was a brief silence between the two of them before the hugged.

"Thanks for watching the boys." Donald said.

"Thanks for protecting our home." Della said before they let go.

"Well I'll be, Della Duck!" Della looks to see Goofy and Mickey walking towards her.

"Goofy my man." Della said as they high fived before bowing. "Your majesty, I am thrilled to see you're safe."

"Aw shucks no need to be so formal Della." Mickey smiles as she stood up.

"Daisy and Minnie really miss you guys they told me to give you their regards." Della said.

"Hopefully, we'll be back soon." Goofy said.

"So what are you doing here?" Donald asks.

"Yen Sid called us, he wants Uncle Scrooge to meet up with your Forever After Fighters. I saw a few of them going to his new club right now." Della said.

"Us? Why would he set up shop here?" Mickey asks.

"Why else? To make money." Della shrugs.

"Same old Uncle Scrooge." Donald chuckles.

"How does he plan to do that?" Goofy asks.

"These Forever After Fighters you guys found are our best hope to winning this war and Yen Sid sent us to make sure you guys have all the help you guys need. And since those Grand Magic Games, yeah that's right we watched them and all the other videos that one with the camera brought along." Della said.

"Blondie." The three of them smile.

"Yeah her.

"Good to know he's helping us." The female narrator said.

"But it seems this guy is more interested in making a buck rather than saving the world." Brooke said.

"At least he's on our side." The male narrator said.

"It's good to see you again Della." Mickey said.

"Same." Della smiles.

Meanwhile at Living Legacy, in the upper rooms, Roxas, Briar, Dexter, Raven, Ginger and Rosabella were sitting down as Scrooge walked in.

"Boy you sure took a long time." Dexter said as they turned around to see Scrooge eating a Sea Salt Ice Cream.

"Sorry but I was curious. How did this product make it to this world?" Scrooge asks.

"Uh that be me. Loved Sea Salt Ice Cream so much I had to make sure we sold it." Roxas chuckles.

"It's true, Roxas can't stop eating this stuff." Ginger said causing Scrooge to laugh.

"Neither can I. I've been trying to make a business of selling these but I could never set up shop." Scrooge said before sitting down in his chair. "Any way onto business. Yen Sid told me about you kids. I met Sora but you guys are a little…different from previous heroes I've seen."

"We get that a lot." Rosabella said.

"Yes clearly." Scrooge said before looking at Roxas. "Have we met? I feel like I've seen you somewhere before?"

"Sorry but I don't think so." Roxas said.

"Ever been to Disney Town?" Scrooge asks.

"No." Roxas shook his head.

"Hmm shame, guess you're not the person I'm thinking of." Scrooge said.

"Anyway how are you gonna help us?" Briar asks.

"Young people, always so quick to answers. I plan to help you out. You kids are fighters and fighters need materials. So I want to make us business partners." Scrooge asks.

"What's it in for you if we say yes?" Raven crosses her arms.

"I'm already benefitting from this. If people feel safe, they'll be out and about. Going places, having fun, spending Munny. Essentially as long as you kids keep doing what you're doing I'll making gold and in return I am gonna use a small piece of that gold to make sure you kids can keep doing what you're doing." Scrooge explains.

"So…you're investing in us?" Dexter asks.

"Bingo." Scrooge said finishing his ice cream.

Roxas looks to his friends who are equally surprised by this news.

"Well Scrooge as amazing this is before I say anything I feel I should run this by the rest of my team first." Roxas said.

"Take all the time you need, I'll just be here running the club." Scrooge said.

As they left, Ginger looked to see Rin wiping down the kitchen after a long night.

"Alright Little Chef, you go clock out." Rin said as Remy scurried on out. Smiling Ren reached for a glass of water and drank it.

"Long day?" Ginger asks walking over.

"Yeah, that's the thing with good food. The more you make the more people want to eat it." Rin said.

"That's the life of a person in the kitchen." Ginger said.

"Hey that's why I got into this. Good food makes people happy and puts a smile on their faces." Rin said.

"That's what I do with my baking. You have not lived until you tasted my treats." Ginger said.

"I'm not very good a baking, it's hard, but I will take you up on those treats." Rin said.

"I'll be at Ever After High." Ginger said.

"And I'll be here." Rin said as Ginger waved goodbye.

Smiling Rin turns to see Remy sitting on a table looking at him with a coy smirk.

"What?" Rin asks but Remy just nudges him with his little arm. "Don't start with me on this again."

"Thos guys seemed pretty cool huh?" Rin looks to see Huey, Dewey, Louie, Lena, Webby and Violet cleaning up.

"I still didn't get their autographs yet." Webby said.

"You'll get another chance Webby." Lena said.

"Personally, I am quite eager to prove to them what we have to offer." Violet said.

"I hope we can see Uncle Donald soon." Huey said.

"Mom went to meet him so we should see him soon." Louie said.

"Brace yourself Rin, Uncle Donald has bigger anger issues than you do." Dewey mocks.

Narrowing his eyes Rin holds up a finger and a small blue fireball hits Dewey making him scream before landing in a bucket of water.

"Rin." Everyone else said as Rin chuckles.

"What? He had it coming and you know it." Rin said.

"Boy lots of interesting characters today." The male narrator said.

"I'll say, who knew Donald had a family like this?" The female narrator asks.

"Yeah and something tells me that Rin boy has an interesting story as well." Brooke said.
