Well, guys, I have to thank you because thanks to you, 'The Tragedy of Revan' reached 20 000 views! I mean, it's not much when compared to the 'Price of the Sacrifice' that has almost 124 000 views but it's another milestone that I'm very proud of. So at this point I'd like to thank everyone who's been supporting me through the past two years with this story and even earlier when I was writing 'Price of the Sacrifice'. Your support really means much to me. Also, I have some good news. I have made some calculations and I guess that we are in one third already (hah, already XD only is a better term I guess). Ahead of us is the rest of the KotOR 2 plot (approximately 30-40 chapters or so) and around 10 additional chapters before we finish this story. It's going to be… an interesting challenge to see if I'm able to end this story this year (though I guess I will fail in doing so XD). But, the last chapter and the epilogue are already written. And I can already say that it will be the longest chapter I have ever written. It will have around 10 000 words so I guess that it will be good for the series' finale. I only have to add some small details to consider it finished.

Also, I'm really sorry for the long delay but the past few months have been really crazy for me. I have a lot of studying right now and I simply can't find the time to write this story. I know it sounds ridiculous considering the current situation worldwide but that's what it is XD. Also, I'm getting married next year so a lot of time is spent on preparations for this special day.

One last thing. I bet many of you have noticed that meanwhile I've started writing another story from 'How to Train your Dragon' franchise. I did it because I've encountered the 'writer's block' and I assumed that it would help me to get over it. So, just to let you know, I'm not going to abandon this story and I will try to write both simultaneously.

Okay, it's been too long, so, enjoy.

Disclaimer: I own nothing.

Chapter 24

"Hey." Meetra heard a soft whisper right next to her. A moment later, a strong arm shook her entire body. The exiled Jedi Knight let out a soft moan of a complaint and cuddled stronger the pillow that she was clutching with both of her hands. "Wake up, sweetie" the same male voice said, once again shaking her. Reluctantly, Meetra opened one of her eyes, wanting to find out who was trying to deny her the well-deserved sleep. However, one eye turned out to not be enough, cause her vision was blurred, urging her to go back to sleep. Although, another, this time much stronger, shake quickly deprived her of the opportunity to do so. This time she opened her second eye which caused the quality of her vision to increase rapidly. She noticed that it was Atton who was trying to wake her up. "Come on, sweetheart, we must go" he said when he saw she was looking at him.

"What's happening?" Meetra asked, after turning around to lay on her back. She wiped her eyes, trying to get rid of tiredness. "Where am I?" she asked, still a little dazed.

"We're on Telos and we must move forward" Atton answered. "The TSF still hadn't returned from Peragus. And someone checked on us recently so it might be a good time to leave this place. Kreia also approved this idea. We must use the fact that the TSF hasn't returned yet and move forward."

"Okay, okay" Meetra said, rising up from the lying position. She sat on the edge of the bed she occupied and wiped her eyes once again. She noticed Kreia sitting on the floor, meditating. It was dark outside when she looked at the window. "How long have I been sleeping?" she asked.

"A couple of hours, no longer than six" Atton answered.

"Thought so" Meetra muttered, not bothering to suppress a yawn. "It's been a while since I've been this tired" she added, yawning once again.

"Yeah, I haven't slept too much either" Atton said, also yawning. "But we must go, we can sleep in the Ebon Hawk if we want."

"Okay, do you have any plan on how to escape?" Meetra asked, standing up from the bed. She stretched her spine until she heard a loud popping noise. She sighed contently.

"Well, obviously, we can't just walk out through the doors – the guards are standing there all the time" Atton replied, beginning to pace across the room. "I've already done some checking in this room – there is one air shaft, but it's too small for any of us to fit in it. So, that leaves us with the only option which is the window" Atton said, gesturing at the giant glass panel behind him. "But there is a problem" he added quickly.

"What problem?" Meetra asked, coming closer to the window to examine it.

"We're at the highest floor of this building" Atton replied, standing right next to her. He was looking straight down through the window. "Let's just forget for a second that jumping down from this height would be suicidal. Even if we jumped, there is little to no chance that we would land on the station. Most probably we would fall on the planet below. So, if we were lucky enough to not suffocate during the fall, we will most probably be burned to a crisp in the atmosphere. And even if that didn't happen, the only trace we would leave on Telos would be a small crater or a wet spot."

"So why did you say we must go if we don't have a real opportunity of leaving this place?" Meetra asked, turning her gaze from the window and directing it at Atton. The man shrugged his shoulders in response.

"Well, honestly I hoped that considering your experience during the war, you could come up with some brilliant idea" Atton replied, once again scratching the back of his head – a habit Meetra found to be quite attractive. Combined with his nervous biting of the lower lip, Meetra thought that he looked more like a boy who was ashamed of something that he did, rather than an adult man. She smirked a little.

That smirk faded quickly, though, as Meetra wondered what to do. She saw the reason behind Atton's words. She used to be a part of the Republic Military for far too long to have any doubts about how the TSF would react to the destruction of Peragus, even if they were innocent. After all, what it all came down to was, in fact, the loss of the Capital ship, not the destruction of some mining facility. There were thousands of them in the entire Galaxy and many were affiliated with the Republic. Finding a new source of fuel would be no problem for Telos, not to mention the fact that the Republic government would aid in this task. There was no point for the three of them to wait for punishment for something they haven't done.

But Atton's words about escape also were true. This might have been an apartment but it was secured as any other cell. Too high to jump, too narrow air shaft to escape through it. And storming the front doors was not even an option to be considered. She had no doubts that the doors were sealed from the outside and without weapons they wouldn't be capable of opening it. She examined the exterior of the building.

The platform had multiple holes through which the planet's surface was visible. She tried to look down as much as she could without opening the glass panel. It would be impossible to survive the landing and she had no doubts about that. But if you can't go down… you can go up, she wondered, lifting her gaze to the other buildings that were on the same height as their apartment.

Many of the buildings were close to the one they were in. It was much more possible to reach them than the surface of the station. She noticed a landing platform located just outside their window, at the building that was the closest one to them. It wasn't so close that a larger step would be enough but jumping onto it would be no problem with the help of the Force.

"We'll make a jump at that platform" Meetra said, gesturing at the landing pad that she noticed. "Atton is right, we can't hope for a happy landing on the station's surface. We can only attempt to reach the other building and try to escape through there. Kreia" she addressed the older woman. "Help me to remove this window" she said, taking place in front of the glass panel. She lifted both of her hands and focused her mind on the object in front of her.

Kreia stepped in, offering her help without saying a word. The two women proceeded to gently grasp the giant window with the Force. Atton was left speechless, able only to watch as his two companions were doing something that many people wouldn't even dream of.

Meetra furrowed her brows, directing her full attention on the glass panel. She closed her eyes in order to severe almost every connection with the outer world. She couldn't allow anything to disturb her. But despite all of her attempts, she couldn't help smiling when she felt the results of her actions. She could swear that she could almost physically feel the window in her hands. Probing it through the Force, Meetra marveled at everything that she could recover from a simple piece of glass. Coming to think about that, she never noticed what the dead objects could tell.

She felt the distant trace of people who were responsible for the production of the glass panel. Meetra could almost literally see the entire process of the window's creation. All the way from molding the glass to shaping it into its final form. She chuckled slightly. Never before had she wondered over such simple things. Content with the fact that the Force has almost fully returned to her, Meetra decided to open her eyes.

In her state of absolute focus, Meetra didn't notice that the glass panel was already standing against the wall, allowing the cold night air to enter into the apartment that they occupied. She gasped when she felt the gust of wind slap her across the face, forcing the air out of her lungs. She blinked rapidly a few times, getting rid of the small tears that appeared because of the air.

"Care to enlighten me how are we going to reach that platform?" Atton asked, breaking the silence. "I was never good in long jumps at school which is why I don't see myself reaching that landing pad. And I bet Kreia isn't in the best physical shape either" he joked. Kreia didn't even bother to reply. "So, sweetheart, how do you propose we reach that landing pad?" he asked again. "Unless, of course, you have three jetpacks, hidden somewhere in this room?"

Meetra didn't reply, annoyed by Atton's sarcasm. She closed her eyes again and took in a deep breath. If you managed to use the Force on those droids in the mining facility and on the window, you surely can use it on Atton, she said to herself. Meetra took in another deep breath and opened her eyes. A mischievous smirk graced her full lips. Without saying a single word, the Exile grabbed Atton through the Force and sent him flying through the window.

Atton noticed what was happening only when he was already halfway between the two buildings. He tried to scream but the wind didn't allow a single sound to leave his mouth. He quickly noticed the landing pad was getting closer and closer. He did the only thing possible at that moment – he closed his eyes, bracing himself for the upcoming impact.

But he never felt his body making contact with the landing pad. Furthermore, he noticed that the wind wasn't as strong as it used to be, allowing him to breathe without any problem. He risked opening one of his eyes.

He had to suppress a retch when he saw what was happening to him. His whole body was hovering midair, not more than three meters above the surface of the landing pad that was visible from their apartment. His eyes went wide at the sight and at the same time he marveled at Meetra's skills. He could feel a pair of strong invisible hands holding him tightly. He chuckled slightly and turned his head, attempting to catch a glimpse of Meetra.

As soon as he made eye contact with her across space between the two buildings, he felt the two hands giving up, no longer keeping him in a safe grasp. Atton once again found himself freefalling, though it didn't last as long as it did the previous time. It didn't take him more than two seconds to hit the landing pad – too fast for him to react in any way. The air was abruptly forced out of his lungs as soon as his body made contact with the platform. He coughed a few times, trying to get his breathing back to normal.

When he finally stood up, Kreia and Meetra were already standing on the same platform, seemingly unaffected by the jump. Atton noticed Meetra's subtle smirk, though she tried very hard to hide it.

"Next time a little warning?" he asked, sweeping off the dust from his clothes.

"Next time a little less sarcasm?" Meetra suggested in return, chuckling slightly. "Turns out Kreia is in good physical shape for a long jump" she added, mocking Atton's previous words.

"We must move" Kreia commented, cutting off their chat. Meetra's smirk quickly faded from her lips. She coughed a few times, correcting her robe. She brushed off a few dust molecules that only she noticed. "It won't be long before our escape is noticed. We must return to the Ebon Hawk immediately" she ordered, facing the building from which they came.

"We were imprisoned in the same building in which we landed" Meetra said, also facing the huge building. "We must reach the Dock Module 126 – the Ebon Hawk should still be there" she added, recalling the words of the female Officer who greeted them when they first landed. "Atton, do you remember where we came from?" she asked hopefully, addressing the pilot. Rand scratched the back of his head, attempting to recall their route.

"I don't" he admitted shamefully after a moment.

"Never mind, we'll manage either way" Meetra replied, scanning the building in front of them. There was one opening which was the window of their apartment. She directed her gaze downward, searching for anything that would allow them to enter the building and move through it freely. After a while, she noticed an opening that undoubtedly was the docking module.

"Over there" she said, gesturing at what she had found. "That's our way in" she said and turned her head towards Atton. "You ready?" she asked, not giving him time to reply. Before Atton could react in any way, Meetra repeated her actions from before, tossing him all the way towards the docking module. When she was sure that he was safe, Meetra jumped, aiding herself with the Force. She noticed with the corner of her eye that Kreia once again mimicked her action.

Meetra landed gracefully on the landing pad and as soon as her feet touched the ground, a pair of strong hands grabbed her and she was pulled behind a stack of crates. Tilting her head upward, she noticed that it was Atton. Kreia quickly joined them.

"What is it?" Meetra asked, taken aback by being pulled so abruptly.

"It is the Dock Module 126" Atton informed.

"Well, that's good" she commented, correcting her hair.

"Not exactly" Atton replied, not looking at her.

"What do you mean?"

"The Ebon Hawk is missing" Kreia stated, not even looking at the interior of the small hangar.

Meetra looked behind the crates and noticed that the old woman was telling the truth. The landing pad was empty, except for a single freighter that was designed to travel to the planet's surface. But there was no trace of the Ebon Hawk.

"Impossible" Meetra commented, not knowing what else to say. "It must have been stolen" she deducted.

"I knew that that stupid T3 unit couldn't be trusted" Atton cursed under his breath. "It's probably joyriding through the system right now, laughing at us… laughing at me!" he snapped.

"I seriously doubt that" Meetra scolded him. "Don't forget that it's because of him that we could leave Peragus in the first place. I don't think that he would stick out his bum on us."

"She is right" Kreia commented, listening to their conversation. "The Ebon Hawk was stolen but it wasn't done by the droid. Someone came here and took our ship. I can still feel the presence of that person here. It lingers in the walls around us" she said, earning herself a surprised look both from Atton and Meetra. "Whoever stole the ship, they knew that it belonged to us. It was no mere coincident" she continued, ignoring the questioning looks that were being directed at her. "And I feel that the Ebon Hawk is still in this system" she added.

"I don't understand" Atton commented. "Telos' atmosphere is highly corrosive outside the shielded Restoration Zones. Where else could somebody land safely?" he asked rhetorically.

"Then we must travel to the planet's surface" Kreia commanded.

"I'm not sure if you noticed, but we don't have a ship" Atton replied, rolling his eyes.

"But we've got a ship" Meetra countered, looking at the small freighter. As soon as she said those words, the trio heard a loud alarm going off, resonating across the hangar.

"Our escape has been noticed" Kreia commented calmly.

"We must go. Now or never" Meetra ordered, proceeding towards the freighter. She was stopped by Atton who grabbed her arm.

"If we steal that ship we will face much more severe punishment" he warned her. "Destruction of Peragus is one thing, but hijacking a freighter that is directly used in Telos Restoration Project? I won't be surprised if we'll earn ourselves a one-way ticket to Coruscant."

"Our situation has become much more serious the moment we left the apartment" Meetra countered, jerking her hand from Atton's grasp. "If they catch us now, we will be imprisoned again with no chances of escaping. But if we take that ship and find the Ebon Hawk we can still leave Telos" she reasoned with him. She could swear that she saw gears twisting in Atton's mind. The sound of the alarm was still resonating loudly and was soon joined by the voices of the soldiers outside the hangar. "If you want to stay here and surrender, be my guest" she added, taking a few steps backward. "But I'm not going to allow them to imprison me again" she said and turned towards the freighter. She ran towards it as fast as she could, accelerating her movement with the Force. Atton rolled his eyes again and cursed under his breath but he couldn't deny that Meetra was right. With one last sigh, Atton ran towards the freighter as well, struggling to keep up with the two Jedi.

The trio entered the freighter that luckily wasn't secured. Atton ran into the cockpit and brought the ship into life. They left the hangar in the last second possible before the entrance was closed. The freighter grazed the wall of the hangar when they were flying off.

"That was close" Meetra commented, sighing a sigh of relief.

"Not exactly" Atton replied, quickly bringing her back to the reality. As if in confirmation to his words, the alarm in the freighter went off.

"What's happening?"

"We've become a moving target for their turret grid" he informed his two companions. "We have to make it to the surface as fast as possible or we'll be blasted off into nothing!" he exclaimed.

"Take the quickest route to the Restoration Zone" Meetra ordered. The concern in her voice was genuine.

"I'm on it" Atton replied, swiftly maneuvering the freighter. Meetra could swear that Atton could turn any ship into a fighter. She never would have believed that a sourcing freighter could be so agile.

The surface of Telos was approaching rapidly. The only green spot on the entire planet was beginning to turn into regular shapes as they entered the atmosphere. But every now and then a random projectile exploded around them, causing the freighter to rock in midair. Atton was cursing from time to time silently, doing his best to avoid the missiles.

But just as they were about to reach the surface, one of the turrets from the grid managed to hit their shuttle. The small freighter shook violently. The missile managed to hit them straight in one of the wings, right next to the engine.

Atton wasn't even trying to conceal the curses that were escaping his mouth. Meetra and Kreia found something to hold onto as their pilot was trying to maintain even the smallest trace of control over the shuttle. Unfortunately, his efforts turned out to be in vain.

The freighter they were traveling in hit one of the many hills on Telos' surface and bounced from it, causing all of the three passengers to lose their footings. Soon, another hit followed, as the shuttle once again encountered a small hill on its way before gliding on dirt and coming to a halt.

When the first hit happened, Meetra only fell to the floor; a metal handle that she was using as the support gave up under the strength of the blow and was still in her tight grasp. When they've encountered the second hill, Meetra wasn't as lucky as before. She hit her head straight into a metal piece that was protruding from the shuttle's wall. The only thing that she remembered later was blackness.
