Christmas edition. My first Brucelina fanfic. Please, be kind to me!
She climbed quickly, feeling the cold run through her body. And then she stopped. The window was closed. The window was NEVER closed. Unless they had gone to freakin' Switzerland again.
The moment she decided to head back, the window opened and there he was. Beautiful as ever in his casual black clothes looking at her with a little smile on his face.
"Hello there. I didn't know, if you'd come".
"How did you know I might come even?"
"I hoped so… Nuh-uh" he said when she tried to pass through him.
"What?" she asked defensively, but then she paused. And she saw it. "Oh…"
"Merry Christmas, Selina" he said looking at the mistletoe he had hung up the window.
"You are such a sap!" she exclaimed but her heart was warm, she had never kissed someone under the mistletoe. But she couldn't admit… "I think, you should let me pass".
"And I think, that you…Selina Kyle, you owe me a kiss".
She didn't even had the time to protest. His hand wrapped around her waist firmly and brought her close to him. His lips captured hers immediately. She didn't push him. She didn't want to. She really had missed him. The sensation of his arms around her, his warm, steady breath on her face, his smooth lips that, unlike other times, were pressing just right hers making her feel shivers down her spine. His kiss was all she needed that night and there was no way she would let her pride ruin it. By then they were both out of breath, his hands still holding her, her arms resting on his chest. But they couldn't stop. Not even when the wind started getting colder, not even when the window behind them closed forcefully. They hadn't really understood it but they were moving, they were already outside at the balcony. Still they didn't stop. The need they felt to be close to each other was bigger than anything in the world. Every time Selina would find the chance to take a breath, Bruce would fill the gap between them and he would crash his lips against hers again and again. Her hands moved on his face and around his neck and she felt her back touch the cold balcony.
"We're gonna catch a cold" she said breathlessly, not really wanting to talk, but she couldn't help it.
"You're worth it" he whispered quickly, but nevertheless he took her hand and let her inside the house.
Selina felt the warmth of the fireplace the moment she stepped in and she moved slowly there. Bruce sat beside her. They didn't talk much, but his eyes couldn't stop staring at her.
"Quit it" she said defenselessly and he smiled. That sweet smile…
"I missed you" he pointed out like that explained everything. After a second, she heard herself whispering.
"Me too".
Well, that was a start…
