Koei's Bane 2: Still on Hiatus

Even thought, it's taking so long, Zhao Yun is still understandably bitter. Wei Yan, Deng Zhi, Zhang Yi and Wang Ping were with him after leaving the Shu group. Zhen Ji was the only person from Wei group joining them.

"You know, we can timeskip to the DW 9 era," Wang Ping spoke out first.

"It's not so much different after DW 9…..and big brother was jobbed badly in storytelling. I haven't been happy with my portrayal since calling out on Kongming over Yang Yi's corruption. Ma Dai had no idea about it and he's now treating me like a puppy in the game." Wei Yan shrugged.

"Bogong, Zijun and I are still generic's Zilong. You barely have a story now," Deng Zhi scoffed.

Zhao Yun grunted and reminisces the days he mattered.

"I'm still a walking doll to Zihuan being committed to things I historically despise….so, Zilong is not the only one who's upset. Ma Yunlu has gone to check on her father at the Others group, "Zhen Ji place her hand on Zhao Yun's shoulder, and he reacted to his usual stoic presence. "With the recent events transpiring in this game company, you don't have to tell them how you truly feel just to defend my honor."

"Then how will I be respected as a historical figure, Luo?" Zhao Yun asked her frankly concerning the effect of the incident between her and Yunlu was an insult to HIS honor.

"I'm asking you it's alright. I can take the humiliation coming from someone who never knew I was suffering tragically as a pawn to Cao Cao and Cao Pi's ambitions…" Zhen Ji said.

"We knew people like you felt like that, Lady Zhen," Deng Zhi express his honesty over her tragedy.

"Yeah, if only I shared the same sympathizing if I weren't portrayed a petty guy in the novel and now a illiterate brute," Wei Yan face away from the group furiously continuing the think about his death.

"That's why I should have made my debut in the main games instead of Zhou Cang!" Wang Ping groaned.

"Don't bother, since we're not Jiang Wei, Zijun," Zhang Yi said.

"Duh, to DW fans, we're 'nobodies. Just like what big brother is being misrepresented now if they can get an idea on how to write Zhao Zilong and why he was liked," Wang Ping frustratedly uttered.

Hearing that from Wang Ping didn't change Zhao Yun's expression. Should he let aside the attrition between himself and the two people he used to trust the most in life and move on? He had long been quiet over his own personal feelings towards others after the success of Dynasty Warriors.

"There are better TK games right now than Dynasty Warriors honestly, Zilong. I never had that much fandom from King of Glory than in Dynasty Warriors where I'm still Zihuan's doll who would agree with every evil thing he says. It'd be preposterous if I continue to not have a voice of my own reason than his logic, but now I don't care anymore as long as another game subverts this," Zhen Ji kept her eye on Zhao Yun while speaking and he never left his eye on her.

"I can't ignore the dishonor and stupidity Yunlu misjudged her hatred towards you just because you're ok with this continuous nonsense representing us now my lady…." Zhao Yun responded icely.

"I know, that's how Ma Chao is being glorify in the games over that. Let it be, doesn't change the facts about me historically from the myth about my relationship with Cao Pi. Since Ma Yunlu is popular nowadays, I'm getting used to this humiliation. I'm grateful you still care about my honor," Zhen Ji winced.

Zhao Yun slowly denied, "To me, it's not ok. No more will I ignore the good in others outside of ShuHan, Zhen Ji. This needs to change. I can no longer cover Xuande and Kongming's mistakes for the stake of depicting ShuHan as 'The good guy side'."

Zhen Ji retaliated, "Not once since my very first drama depicted Wei as the 'good guys' as long as people remembered what happened to me. That was the entire point on my tragic life. It wasn't about me falling in love with Cao Zhi because that doesn't exist."

"I know…."

"So, lets leave those two hypocrites be and go to the Others group together?"

"She has some merit to her words, Zilong. We're still on your side in the argument, but it'll be best we let the schism desist," Deng Zhi nodded.

"My haters and this fandom still believe I represent blind loyalty. I have to prove them wrong, Luo. I knew you were a virtuous lady from the very beginning. You were just a girl back then and it wouldn't matter to the world we used to live on because you're a woman, but you're one woman besides Shang Xiang, I've been thinking about political. I will not ignore this insulation," Zhao Yun clarified.

Zhen Ji sighed, "So be it. I'm still happy you cared…."

"The same way I care about the people who suffered from the ambitions of the Cao family. Kongming should have empathized that after writing the Chu Shi Biao. It didn't mean everybody from Wei are evil, my lady. The ones who support the abdication of Liu Xie were!" Zhao Yun raise his voice from the last sentence, proving his argument on Wei.

"Sometimes, I ponder where Xu Huang stands for his honor after what happened to Emperor Xian. There's no excuse for that and I'm glad I'm on Zhao Yun's side, my lady," Wang Ping told her.

"I used to think about serving Cao Cao for the Han…." Deng Zhi said as he rubbed his chin, "Cruelty and corruption contradicts honor and duty. I made up my mind after deciding to give Liu Bei a chance."

Wei Yan grunted, "But now this crap we're being scrutinized over our personalities in that game."

"Our side isn't perfect, Zhen. But that doesn't' change the fact that I want to save the Han from people like HIM. You were married to him, so you understand why we oppose Cao Cao. However, romanticizing the contention to the point where I'm ignorant of Kongming and Xuande's mistakes is irrevocable. I had argued Xuande to focus freeing people from living in a government that only cares what the gentry wants, but he didn't listen. This is no longer about Restoring the Han Dynasty or who's the good guy/bad guy. This is about what kind of person I truly am," Zhao Yun held his anger calmly and continued, "Not once after our deaths, after the Yellow Turban Rebellion had changed and the land was ravaged by the rule of xiongu tribes and the very same corrupt officials Wei and Jin harbored. Should you be proud of that?"

"No…." Zhen Ji answered bluntly.

"Your son made you a shrine," Zhao Yun mentioned what Cao Rui did after restoring her status as the Empress Dowager.

"That's not who I wanted to be remembered as. Rui was a confused boy who only believes I truly loved his father," She frowned.

Deng Zhi must have found little humor into that. Imagining your dead mother becoming disappointed into being idolized by wealth and vanity.

"I'm not known for being greedy or a royal snob. The throne had truly spoiled him," She crossed her arms, reminding herself why she divorced Cao Pi so he can stick with the person he has in common.

Deng Zhi excused himself, "I honestly found it funny, but I get what you mean."

"It's alright, Bomiao. I never cared for the statue of me. At least, my family survived." A small laughter brought little peace with the subject.

Bogong was quiet and humorless during the conversation. One thing still troubles him, and he'd like to address Zhao Yun about it while the schism is inevitable.

"Even so, Zilong, I'm afraid the mistakes of Ma Chao, Jiang Wei, Zhuge Liang, and the Oath Brothers will continue to get fans to judge you by that. Boyue is the worst offender and I lived long to see what he had done including Liu Shan's political errors," Zhang Yi said. He spoke the matter dreadful since those men have the most spotlight in storytelling.

"Of course, they'll answer for that. Unless they take my anger with the wrong impression. As far as this schism happening, I'm done. I'm done with following the script. Soon, they'll see the shame they bought upon my popularity," Zhao Yun stoically implied.
