Ashley Potter realised an escape when she knew one.

If her family had left a small fortune in her 'trust vault'... then they would at least have some sort of money in a main vault too right?

With that idea in mind she returned to Gringotts the day after her trip for Hogwarts necessities and asked about it.

One ritual later and Ashley found out that her idea was in fact true... her family was absolutely loaded! Numbers so big it made her mind boggle, the ownership buildings and majority stock holdings of so many businesses... she literally had control of Diagon Alley.

She didn't care about that though. She wanted to get away from England, from the Dursleys... so she looked into buildings she owned out of the country. There were a lot... but one immediately caught the girls eye just because of how silly it sounded to the 11 year old.

Vileand. The island was literally called Vileand... a vile island. And the building that was housed on it? It was called 'The Castle of Terror.'

According to the goblins, who were very in the know about the Potter family for some odd reason, the island and the castle placed upon it were once owned by a villain who went by the name Vile of Vile... who eventually fell for the heroine who challenged them regularly, a woman named Helen Potter. When the both of them died the island was left alone... and for a good reason.

Vileand was in another world entirely. The only reason Helen made it there in the first place was by portal accident.

Thankfully new spells and rituals had been found, and kept mildly secret, so an accident wasn't the only way to travel between worlds... and the goblins in fact were willing to do such a thing for valued customers...

And any Potter was a valued customer.

That same day Helen had bought a one way ticket to the world that Vileand existed on and was prepared to go...

But first? She went ahead and bought a copy of every book she could find... if she was going to another world that would certainly mean leaving the chances of Hogwarts behind... so being self taught from books was the easiest thing she could think of doing.

That night, when the clock had struck twelve and the moon was at its highest point... Helen entered the portal to her new home.

To vileand

With nothing but the clothes on her back, a collection of books that would make a living library surprised, a large stockpile of gold and a supply of food that should last for a while if she wasn't to find any other sustenance immidiately.
