Hey everyone! This is an AU where Len doesn't die, and he has something very important to say to Sara. I wrote this all in one sitting, for less than 10 minutes, but I reread it and thought hey, I kind of like this, and plus, it's ColdCanary. So, yeah, here we are! :-)
"Hey," said Sara as she slipped inside Leonard's room. "Gideon said you wanted to see me."
"She did, did she?" Leonard was leaning nonchalantly on his wall.
Sara frowned as her sharp blue gaze pierced Len's. "What is it?"
"Sara, you know I'm not a touchy-feely kind of person," began Len.
Sara crossed her arms. "And you wanted to remind me of that because...?"
"Let me finish," Leonard shook his head. "I'm not usually a sappy guy, but at times when you come close to dying, it makes you think of a few things."
Sara studied him. "You seem...different. Contemplating your life purpose?"
Leonard couldn't help but smile at the assassin's sass. "Maybe."
He moved closer to the blonde, both their breaths hitching. "Or maybe I've been contemplating you."
Sara blinked, staring up at the taller man. "What are you trying to say, Crook?"
"What do you think I'm saying, Assassin?" the criminal smirked back.
Sara laughed lightly as she easily flipped him over, leaving him sprawled on the ground. "Wanna take me home, Snart? You gotta be one hell of a fighter."
Leonard gamely pushed himself up. "Challenge accepted."
Sara's blue eyes glistened brilliantly with mischief, as Leonard's lips curled into a smile.
"Game on," nodded the blonde.
Sara threw a punch, which Leonard easily dodged. "Going easy on me, Assassin?"
Sara smirked as she swept her leg under his feet, making him instinctively grab onto her. "Going soft on me, Crook?"
Leonard spun her around, crossing her arms. "Not a chance."
Sara let out an annoyed growl and kicked herself free from his grasp. They both returned to their starting positions. They stared each other down.
"Gonna do this all day long?" Sara grinned as they circled each other.
"Hope not," Leonard quickly replied, and firmly grasped her shoulders as he forced her back to the wall.
He shoved her to the floor, but Sara quickly rolled up.
"You got game, Snart," noted Sara as kicked him.
Leonard barely dodged it in time when another attack came in the form of an upper hook. He ducked out of the way.
"Tired?" Sara questioned smugly.
Leonard pinned her arms to her back and threw her onto her bed.
Sara huffed as she kicked him away.
Leonard winced a bit, and Sara smiled. "You gonna say what you wanna say?"
He looked at her in disbelief. "Sara, I love you."
Sara smiled as she stepped in for a kiss. "I love you too. But..."
Leonard surveyed her face. "But what?"
"I won that one," grinned Sara as she pressed her lips against Leonard's.
Leonard chuckled as they pulled away. "I'll give you that one. But it doesn't mean I'll take it easy on you with cards."
He barely avoided Sara's fist.
Thanks for reading! So sorry if it seems rushed. And if it seems short. Even if it is both rushed and short.
