The Fire Rages On

Regina is a fire. Her rage has eaten her up inside, like a flame licks wood and craves more, needs more fuel to burn. It makes her stronger, makes her powerful, but she has to maintain her fuel levels to keep burning. It's a life of risk and fiery explosions waiting to happen. Destruction and rage and a thin line between control and devastation.

Cora is a storm. Her veins are ice and her heart is nothing but a cold stone. Cold, calculating. Every move she makes is precise and exact. She's like a sniper, throwing out lightning to take down her enemies. One hit and they're down. One strike. She knows exactly where to aim to do the most damage, and she doesn't hold back. Even for those close to her.

Fire and water never work as a combination. Water always blankets fire and extinguishes it. Fire is too rowdy, too unpredictable to direct. And storms are all-encompassing, too wide to outrun. From the moment the storm targets the fire, the fire is doomed. But enrage the fire enough and even the storm won't blanket it.

From the moment Cora wrongs her daughter, Regina strikes back, hard, harder than fire should be able to strike at water. Cora sends a stab of lightning through Regina's heart - destroys her love - and puts too much fuel on the fire. But Regina burns her brightest. The flame refuses to die, instead sparks harder.
