Naruto walked back to the classroom with a dismissive aura. Not caring about the gasps and look of shock that was sent his way. He dully noted Kiba's outburst of how he, the dead last passed. He shot him a look that caught Kiba by surprise before he snarled at him.

"Whatcha looking at, dead last?'

Naruto didn't reply, finding the whole ordeal pointless and a waste of time, he simply walked back to his seat, much to Kiba's irritation.

Since Naruto was the last one on the list, it didn't take too long before their instructors came back.

Iruka and Mizuki were both standing in front of the class, Iruka looking ready to make a speech.

"Settle down! Everyone here is now an official Genin of Konohagakure. Please report back here tomorrow for your team placements. Each one of you will be paired up with a jonin sensei, and now. For the top students of the class. Sakura Haruno for female student of the year and Sasuke Uchiha for Rookie of the Year." Iruka made sure that everyone understood before continuing. "I just want to say that I'm proud of all of you. I am glad I was able to teach all of you, you are all allowed to leave now."

All of the new genins left to be picked up by their parents, slowly everyone left the Academy. Naruto quietly walked home. He's used to the stares, the muttering, the glares shot his way. It stopped bothering him.

They were like everyone else, they feared what they didn't understand, and hated him... no the Kyuubi for taking away their loved ones and their precious Yondaime. He used to hate them... why? Why him? Why did they hate him for something he didn't do. Some part of him just wanted to make them see how much they made him suffer. He always felt alone... he always felt like no one loved him. That his parents ditched him for who he was. Wasn't that why he was an orphan? Because his parents despised him? All these years, those thoughts circulated through his head. They never stopped. He had dreams about it... nightmares...

He never said anything. One day, he just stopped caring. Some could say that day was the day he changed. The few ANBU that watched him noticed a change. Naruto started training. He started training seriously. Every day was filled with hard work and blood, sweat, and tears. He worked on his body, started reading books about law and theory, researched heavily in the workings of a shinobi, worked on his writing and reading which tied into his calligraphy, which helped into his newfound interest for fuinjutsu Why? For some reason, the subject caught his interest for a reason even he doesn't know. Yet, he quickly grasped the art with such ease that he mastered the art at the mere age of nine. He could only further his studies with the aid of a fuinjutsu master, but even then he never stopped practicing to make sure his skills never dulled. How did he get all these books? The thought made Naruto chuckle. It was simple, since he was not a shinobi and classified as a civilian, he had zero access to the Shinobi Library, but that didn't deter him. He simply henged into a plain-looking shinobi and easily got access to the vast amount of books that the Shinobi Library had to offer.

Even now, Naruto still trained. He had a healthy body, eating healthy food mixed in with the occasional ramen. Despite his personality, he could never stop eating ramen at least once a week but this unpredictable person still had some secrets up his sleeve.

Once he was home, he cooked up a simple meal. Ate. Read a portion of his book called 'The many bloodline limits in the Shinobi world' until nighttime arrived and went to bed. His head was already racing with thoughts of what tomorrow will deliver.

One day later.. at the academy.

Iruka stood in front of the many Genin. His arm in a cast. He coughed loudly getting the attention of his former students.

"Today, I'll be calling out your assigned teams so please pay attention..

Team.."

Iruka called out teams until it arrived to Naruto's.

"Team 7 will consist of Haruno Sakura, Uzumaki Naruto, and Uchiha Sasuke. Your Jonin instructor will be Hatake Kakashi."

After that, he continued calling teams, the only prominent ones being Team 8 consisting of Inuzuka Kina, Hyƫga Hinata, and Aburame Shino with their Jonin instructor being Yuhi Kurenai, and Team 10 consisting of Nara Shikamaru, Yamanka Ino, and Akimichi Chouji with their Jonin instructor being Sarutobi Asuma.

Iruka finished his job and waited for with the Genin for their sensei's to pick them up, but even he left once Team 7 was the only one left..

Poor Naruto. Being forced to wait this long.

AN: Two chapters in a day? Who am I? Well, slowly by surely the chapters gradually increase in length. 10k a chapter is a hefty goal, but I'm confident that I'll eventually reach it. As one continues to write their skills improve.
