This really wasn't the update I wanted to be putting out, but here we go…

Hello everyone! It's been a while (nearly three months?!). I know, I know, I said I would try to get some chapters out during this difficult time… it just never happened. Truthfully, my muse literally ran away when my country went into lockdown, especially when I joined a new fandom.

I've been in an entirely different headspace because of it, and dare I say, it's the happiest I've been in a long while. I've been having difficulties due to anxiety and the music I've been listening to because of this fandom has helped me immensely. I'm just kinda stuck with them at the moment, just while we go through this global situation. Their music/content has helped me get through these last few months, and I'm not ready to tear myself apart from that yet.

(I also broke the screen of my Chromebook that I had been using when writing chapters as it's faster than the one I'm using now so that slowed me down too. I was even more discouraged by that...I don't think I've written a single piece of work for anything since I posted the last chapter...)

When my muse eventually does return, I want you all to know that I will be updating the chapters to fit with my current timeline - as you guys know, I've been reworking the story in parts to go along with the new chapters I've written. I can confirm that I have written the FIRST THREE chapters for Part 2, and was in the middle of the fourth one when my muse died.

So, unfortunately, this kind of means that it might be a while until a proper update comes out again. I don't know when my will to write again will return, let alone the will to update my past chapters. Regardless, this means that TWC: Part 1 is on hiatus with no set return date.

I'm really disappointed in myself, to be honest (I'm literally shivering in sadness as I type this out, but that might also be because of the winter chill) - I had such high hopes for this year and for you guys, and I really wanted to give so much for this story this year. But things don't always go to plan, and this is one of the examples.

I hope that when the updated chapters come out, I'll be able to remove this note and replace it with one that lets you guys know of the edits so that you can look back and reread the story again in preparation for new chapters (I'm hoping that my muse would've come back fully for me to write more of Part 2 again by that point - I want to make sure I'm at least 10 chapters ahead of the one I end up posting on here).

So for now, this is a temporary farewell. Thank you endlessly to those who are still supporting me. I hope you return when I finally do. I can't wait for the day I can put up new content. Until then, stay safe and take care...
