Here it is, the conclusion of the "Reign Storm" arc, and it's a big one. You can see why I decided to split it up into two parts. After recovering from their wounds Danny and Sabrina are finally ready to bring the fight to Pariah Dark and save Amity Park.
The Ghost King Cometh: Part 5
Back in the Netherworld, every powerful witch and warlock have answered the witch council's call and have all gathered at the castle for a meeting. Everyone is in a large auditorium, where all the magical beings are sitting in rows of seats and the witch council are standing at the center of the room. Once the witches and warlocks were informed of the situation, everyone is now discussing what the next course of action will be.
"I still don't see why we can't go to the ghosts for help," a bearded middle aged man with brown hair and some gray in the temples suggests.
"Because when the witches and ghosts of old joined forces the last time, there wasn't as much…tension between both parties," the black haired, silver striped councilwoman in purple witch attire responds. "To ask for their help now would be difficult, especially since it seems they have taken refuge in the human world and refuse to get involved."
"If we're going to defeat Pariah Dark, we're going to have to do it on our own," says an elderly councilwoman.
Suddenly, that same twenty something who gave the witch council the bad news barges into the auditorium, "I have an update on the Pariah Dark situation."
The dark haired council woman sighs, "This better be good news this time."
"Well…it depends," says the young messenger. "Not too long ago, two residents from Amity Park were seen leaving the town and are headed for Pariah's Keep."
The head councilwoman was now curious, "Who would dare try to oppose the Ghost King?"
The messenger takes out his crystal ball and it reveals and image of Danny Phantom and the Hooded Enchantress flying through the Ghost Zone.
The elderly witch was flabbergasted upon seeing the two teenagers, "But…they're just children!"
The head councilwoman takes a closer look at Danny, "That boy, I've heard about him. There has been a lot of talk in the Ghost Zone about a ghost who defends Amity Park from other, more hostile ghosts."
"A ghost who fights against his own kind?" a redheaded witch asks.
"That's the thing," the head councilwoman explains. "This young ghost, he is not one of them. He is actually half human."
"A halfa?" a brunette witch now asks. "That's impossible!"
"Is it really?" the head councilwoman asks. "You know who Edward Spellman is right? Unfortunately, I sent him on a special assignment so he couldn't attend this meeting. But he has a daughter who is also half human. And speaking of Edward, I remember him telling me about how his sisters decided to move from Greendale to Amity Park."
The brunette witch begins to put two and two together, "So…the witch that is with the half ghost…"
"Is Edward's daughter Sabrina," the head councilwoman finishes.
"And they are facing Pariah Dark as we speak?" says the redheaded witch. "Somebody ought to stop them before they get themselves killed."
"Maybe," says the head councilwoman. "But something tells me they have something up their sleeves, otherwise why bother trying to engage the Ghost King? I say we observe for now, let the events play out first before we try to interfere."
"So this new spell," Danny begins to say as he, Sabrina and Salem are flying to their destination. "What makes it more unique than the last one?"
"This spell is very similar to its original incarnation, but with a few new tweaks," Salem, who is sitting on Sabrina's lap, explains.
"Meaning?" Sabrina asks, urging the cat to continue.
"Meaning that when we put Pariah back to bed this time around, the spell will make sure he stays there. No Skeleton Key in the universe will be able to free him. All we have to do is use the sarcophagus he was snoozing in originally, shove him inside and lock it up using the key just like how the ancient witches and ghosts did it."
"And I'm willing to bet both the Sarcophagus and the Skeleton Key are inside the castle along with him," Danny finishes. "Sounds simple enough, all we got to do is make our way inside."
"Uh, yeah, something tells me it's NOT gonna be that easy," Salem says with a look of fear.
The two teens finally make it to Pariah Dark's keep, but the front entrance is being blocked by a seemingly endless army of his ghostly soldiers.
"Oh man," says Sabrina. "There must be over a thousand of these guys, what are we going to do?"
"Don't worry," Danny answers with a confident smirk. "I got this." He raises the right arm of the Ecto-Skeleton and fires a small, light blue energy ball from its hand.
"Oh yeah, that will definitely wreck them," Salem says as he rolls his eyes.
However, when the tiny energy ball reached the center of the crowd of ghost guards, it generated a massive explosion wiping out a huge group of them.
Salem now has a look of surprise, "…Okay, consider my words eaten."
Danny fires another energy blast at the ghost army, obliterating another large group, then he immediately slumps down in exhaustion.
"Danny?" Sabrina says in a concerned tone.
"I…I'm fine," Danny says as he straightens himself up. "I just got to be careful with how much power I use."
"Well, lucky for you, you don't have to fight these guys on your own," the half-witch says as she summons her wand. "It looks like we're gonna have to get through these waves of enemies before getting to the final boss."
"Looks like it," the halfa agrees.
Salem gulps and mutters, "What in the world have I gotten myself into?"
Danny and Sabrina charge at the ghost army. Danny takes out a few ghosts with punches and kicks. He tries to limit the amount of plasma shots he fires to avoid the risk of wasting energy thus killing himself. Sabrina blasts away some of the guards using a combustion spell. Things were going quite well for the two teens until, all of a sudden, the ghosts begin to dogpile Danny.
"DANNY!" Sabrina exclaims.
Unfortunately, some of the ghosts the platinum blonde was fighting see the fact that she was distracted and one of them grabbed her by the leg, yanking her off her broom. Sabrina and Salem fall to ground, though the cat had a not so rough landing, due to the fact that he landed on his feet. Danny sees his friend and her cat surrounded, which gave him the motivation he needed to break free from the pile of ghosts…But doing that took off more than half of his energy. After regaining his bearings, the halfa rushes towards Sabrina and Salem and more ghosts start closing in.
Realizing they are in serious trouble, Danny says, "Uh, Sabrina? Now would be the perfect time to teleport us out of here."
"After seeing how outnumbered we are, you're just now thinking about retreating?" Salem chimes in.
"Did somebody asks for the Calvary?" says a voice that sounded like Tucker's.
Danny, Sabrina and Salem look up and see the tech geek and Sam arriving in the Spector Speeder.
"Guys, get out of here," Danny says in an urgent tone.
"Now is definitely not the time to pull off any last minute saves," says Sabrina.
"Oh, I think it's the perfect time," Sam says with a smirk. "We're just here to make a drop off."
As soon as the Goth says that, appearing from beneath the speeder were all of Danny's foes.
Salem sees this and grins, "I guess they really do have spines inside those intangible bodies."
"Wait," Danny chimes in. "How were you all able to fit inside the speeder?"
Ember scoffs, "Have you ever been inside that stupid thermos of yours? That hover car was like the Tahj Mahal in comparison."
"Never mind that," Sabrina cuts in. "I still can't believe you guys actually came to help."
"They're not the only ones," says a random female voice.
Everyone look to where the voice was coming from and they see a portal opening up with a group of witches in purple attire emerging from it.
"Well it's about time," says Salem.
"I take it that's the witch council?" asks Danny.
"Yep," Sabrina and the rest of the ghosts all answer.
The head councilwoman was the first to speak, "We apologize for arriving so late. When we saw you children coming here, it looked like you had the situation under control. So we decided not to interfere until the situation got dire."
"Well, better late than never," says Danny.
"So, I take it you have a way to defeat Pariah?" asks the head councilwoman. "Aside from that armor of yours of course."
Sabrina cuts in and shows her the scroll, "My aunts and Salem created a brand new spell that is similar to the original one used to seal him away centuries ago. This time when the spell imprisons him, it will be for keeps. But here's the catch, in order for the spell to work, we need the "Sarcophagus of Forever Sleep" and the "Skeleton Key" both of which are inside the castle along with Pariah himself."
"So you want us to hold off his army out here while the two of you head inside and confront the Ghost King," the head councilwoman confirms. She then sighs, "Your aunts and especially your father won't be very happy with me letting you face such a powerful being on your own, but if this is our only shot towards victory, then I guess we have no choice. Alright, go, we'll stay out here and deal with his army for as long as we can. It shouldn't be a problem since we have other ghosts here to aid us."
Skulker smirks, "It's just like the witch girl said, ghosts and witches have joined forces in the past, so why not make history repeat itself?" He then turns to Danny. "But know this Whelp, I'm only helping you this one time. Once this is all over, we are back to being enemies."
Danny also smirks, "Fine by me. Come on Sabrina, we need to have a word with the king."
The two teens make their way inside the castle as the ghosts, witches and warlocks band together to fight off the ghost army.
After storming through corridor after corridor, Danny and Sabrina finally arrive at the throne room where the Ghost King himself awaits.
"Hello, "your highness"," Danny says in a snarky tone. "I'm ready for round 2."
Pariah grits his teeth and his hands start to glow red, "You children have interfered with my plans for the last time. Now it's time for you to die, and no one will come to your rescue this time."
"We're counting on it," says Sabrina.
The half witch looks over at Danny and nods. Danny also nods and he fires a plasma shot at Pariah. As the halfa and the Ghost King fight it out, Sabrina makes her way to the sarcophagus.
As she and Salem hop off the broom, the cat says, "Okay kiddo, the ball's in your court."
"Yeah, no pressure or anything," Sabrina sarcastically comments. "I just hope this works." She takes out the scroll Zelda gave her and begins to read it while waving her wand.
"Status malus rex, ut crudelis et saevus, nunc me tu coactus manu tua ending regulae, quando hoc apud te, Ossa clauditis Key, obsignatorum conditorium remanebit liberum et non erit." (A/N)
Suddenly, the sarcophagus begins to open up with a bright blue light generating from the inside.
Sabrina grins widely, "IT WORKED!"
"And on your first try too," says Salem. "Not bad kid. Now the ball is in Danny's court."
Meanwhile, Danny and Pariah are exchanging punches and plasma shots. Pariah notices a blue light emanating from behind him and he looks over his shoulder.
"I see, you were just the distraction."
"Shoot, and I was hoping you wouldn't catch on so soon," Danny says with a smirk. "Ah well, looks like Sabrina already has your bed made, now it's time for me to tuck you in."
As the halfa flies towards Pariah, the Ghost King shouts, "NEVER!"
He throws his mace at Danny, hitting him in the chest and knocking him into a wall. The mace returns to Pariah and he leaps into the air to smash Danny into the ground with it. The halfa sees this and raises his shield just in time to protect himself, but doing that took off 48% of the Ecto-Skeleton's power.
The Ghost King sees the exhausted Danny and grins, "Ah, it looks like someone can't handle all that power."
Sabrina looks over her shoulder and begins to worry, "Danny…I have to help him."
"You can't," says Salem. "You have to keep the spell maintained. If you release it now, then you would have to cast it all over again, and I doubt your boyfriend would have the energy to distract Pariah long enough for us to do that."
Sabrina looks back at the sarcophagus, her mind conflicted.
Salem continues, "You're just gonna have to have faith in Danny and hope he pulls through."
Sabrina nods in understanding, taking the cat's words to heart.
Danny eventually gets his bearings and says, "You know, not too long ago I would have agreed with you." He then looks over at Sabrina. "But someone very important to me told me that I shouldn't let my insecurities get the better of me. I think it's high time that I heed her advice, especially when three different dimensions are counting on me." Danny begins to hover in the air and makes duplicates of himself.
Sabrina looks behind her, in awe, "Whoa, I had no idea he could do that."
"Sabrina, focus," Salem stresses.
The half witch looks back at the sarcophagus, "Okay, okay."
The five Danny duplicates begin their assault on Pariah. Hitting him with a barrage of punches and plasma shots. The Ghost King swings his mace and hits one of the body doubles but is immediately overwhelmed. The four remaining Dannys stand in front of Pariah who is down on one knee.
"This is for hurting Sabrina," they all say and deliver one final punch to the Ghost King, knocking him into the sarcophagus.
"NOW!" Salem shouts.
Sabrina realizes that was her cue and she uses her magic to close the sarcophagus. But Pariah isn't giving up that easily and attempts to break free. Sabrina begins to struggle.
"It's no good, he's trying to get out. I don't know how long I can hold him."
Danny hears this as his duplicates return to him and he flies towards the sarcophagus to keep it closed. Unfortunately, his struggle to keep Pariah sealed up is draining his energy.
"Danny no!" Sabrina exclaims. "You're using up too much of the suit's power." Then the half-witch sees a mysterious figure walk past her and her eyes grew wide. "You gotta be kidding me."
As Danny continues to struggle to keep the sarcophagus closed, he notices an arm reaching over him. That arm is holding the Skeleton Key and it puts the key into the hole and twists it, locking the sarcophagus. This generates a massive shockwave that could be seen from outside of the castle. This shockwave wipes out Pariah's entire ghost army, and when the remaining ghosts and witches noticed this, they realized that Danny and Sabrina were successful in sealing the Ghost King away and begin to celebrate. Meanwhile, in Amity Park, all of the citizens see the sky return to normal, and they also celebrate knowing they have just been saved. Back at the castle, Danny finally lets go of the sarcophagus and falls to the ground. Sabrina and Salem rush towards him.
"Danny?" Sabrina begins to say.
"I'm…fine," the halfa responds. "Did we?"
The half-witch smiles, "We did it. We stopped Pariah Dark. Everyone's safe."
Danny breathes a sigh of relief and asks, "That person with the Skeleton Key, was that who I thought it was?"
Sabrina looks behind her, "Yeah, I'm just as surprised as you are."
Vlad waves at the both of them, with the Fright Knight standing right beside him.
"I…I don't understand…" Danny says as he starts to lose consciousness.
To which Vlad responds, "What? That I used three 15 year-old pawns to turn a knight and topple a king? It's chess Daniel, but of course you wouldn't understand. But I guess you never really did."
Once Danny opens his eyes, he sees that he is back in his room with his friends and family surrounding him. Sabrina was the first to react by hugging him. The halfa hugs her back with a look of relief.
"You can only imagine how worried she was," Vlad says with a smile. "I fact, you gave us all quite a scare."
"Vladdie said he found you lying unconscious outside of the dome when everything returned to normal," Jack explained. "He saved your life."
"Things may have been weird, but if Vlad saved your life then I say bygones," says Maddie.
Then Jack says, "You're always welcome to our home V-Man. Heck, you can even stay in Danny's room,"
Danny tried to get up in protest, but was immediately stopped by Sabrina and Sam, both of them giving him a reassuring smile. The halfa couldn't help but smile back at them.
As the sun was setting, Salem and Sabrina are now sitting on the steps of their house. The two having a moment of relaxation after a hard fought battle.
"Well congratulations kiddo," the cat begins to say. "You beat your first bad guy. How do you feel?"
Sabrina closes her eyes and smiles, "Like I actually made a difference. You know, if you told me months ago that once I moved to a new town I would end up becoming the savior of three different dimensions, I would have said you're delusional."
"Believe me, I would have called MYSELF delusional," Salem chuckles.
After some silence, the cat speaks once again, "Hey Sabrina."
The half-witch looks down at the cat.
"About what I said before, about you being nothing but an amateur…"
Sabrina smiles and she pets Salem, "Apology accepted."
The cat smiles and continues, "All I'm saying is that you've really proven yourself today. With a little more training under your belt, you'll probably run circles around me and your aunts."
"I can believe it," says Danny as he approaches the two.
Sabrina and Salem look towards the halfa and the cat grins, "Whelp, I guess that's my cue to leave." He gets up, stretches a little and walks inside the house through the flap on the bottom of the door.
Danny smiles and waves at Sabrina, "Hey."
Sabrina blushes and waves back, "Hey."
Danny moves to sit next to his…he's not even sure what they are now.
The two teens stare off into the distance, and there was some silence for a few moments before Sabrina says, "I think I'm starting to understand how you felt."
Danny looks at her, "About what?"
"Back at Pariah's Keep, when you were unconscious, I was so scared that you used so much of the Ecto-Skeleton's energy that you…It was just like how scared you were that night at the hospital."
Danny puts a hand on top of Sabrina's, "I didn't mean to worry you."
The half witch shrugs, "I guess that's just something I need to get used to when it comes to being a superhero. Just…try not to do anything that risky, okay?"
Danny chuckles, "I'll try, but I'm not making any promises."
"Good enough I suppose. So, it looks like Amity Park is finally starting to appreciate Danny Phantom. People are calling him a town hero."
Now it was Danny's turn to shrug, "I guess, but I shouldn't be taking ALL of the credit. I never would have saved everyone if it wasn't for you."
"Still, I told you people will accept you if you give it some time."
"And the fact that you were right surprises me. You sure you didn't put the entire town under a spell?"
"Hey, I was lucky enough to pull off a spell that seals away a powerful, ancient ghost. I doubt I'd be able to pull a feat similar to that again. At least, not until I'm older."
"Speaking of which, did your aunts inform the witch council about Plasmius?"
"They said there will be an investigation on the matter. Only time will tell if there will ever be a case on Vlad"
"I'm just glad he decided not to live with me and my folks for a while. He probably knew he was going to be in a lot of trouble so he bailed while he still had the chance."
Sabrina scoffs, "As if he can get very far. Salem can tell you all about how quick the witch council can find you when you've done something to grab their attention."
Danny just chuckles. After a brief pause, the halfa says, "Soo, about what happened right before we went to kick Pariah's butt…"
Sabrina had to think for a moment before… "Oh, when we…Yeah, it was a spur of the moment. I thought once we got through the barrier, there was a chance we might not make it back. Figured I tell you how I felt right away."
Danny nods in understanding, "If you don't mind me asking, but how long have you been wanting to kiss me?"
Sabrina bites her lip, "Ever since we first met at the Nasty Burger."
Danny begins to laugh, "Seriously?" Sabrina glares at the halfa, her freckled face flushed, "Hey, you were very nice and extremely cute. I'm not that hard to impress alright?"
Danny raises his hands up in defense, his laughter dying down, "Okay, okay."
Sabrina loses her glare and her face returns to its original complexion, "And besides, once I finally got to know you more and I realized we had more in common than I thought, the more I was attracted to you. Not to mention you risked your life to save mine, that right there was the deal breaker."
Danny gives a nervous smile, "Well, if I'm gonna be perfectly honest, when you first showed up in my homeroom class that day, I thought you were the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. You can imagine my surprise when you approached me after class. Then we started hanging out and…well you know the rest. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm glad that you kissed me. And these feelings we clearly have for each other, I kinda want to see where it goes…that is…if you're willing."
Sabrina now has a look of shock which immediately turns into a bright smile. She then leans in and kisses Danny on the lips.
The half-witch leans back and responds with, "Does that answer your question?"
Danny, in a slight daze, just nods.
Sabrina giggles and then stares off into the distance once again, "So, what now?"
Danny snaps out of his trance, scratches the back of his head and begins to blush, "Well…I noticed that new "Mighty Crusaders" movie is coming out next week. You know, the one that's the culmination of ten years-worth of movies. I was thinking, maybe you and I can go see it together…maybe even have dinner afterwards…"
It was at that moment Sabrina finally realized what was happening, and she had a playful smirk on her face, "Danny, are you asking me out on a date?"
Danny blushes even harder, "I mean, isn't that what a guy supposed to do in a situation like this? That what Jazz tells me anyway. I've…never been in an actual relationship before, so you're gonna have to bare with me."
Sabrina giggles again, "I'm just teasing you Danny. Yes, I will gladly go on a date with you."
Danny doesn't say anything else, he now has a goofy grin on his face that Sabrina finds absolutely adorable.
Later that night, Danny enters his room and falls back-first on his bed with a wide smile on his face. Things seem to be looking up for the halfa. He saved three different worlds from a powerful ghost, the whole town is finally starting to appreciate him and he's got a girlfriend.
"Alright," Danny says as he looks up at the ceiling. "What other surprises do you have for me?"
Suddenly, as if right on cue, his cell phone starts ringing. Danny gets up and sees it's from an unknown caller, but answers anyway.
"Hello?"
"Is this Danny Fenton?" an adult female voice asks from the other line.
"Uh, yeah, who is this?"
"I'll give you three guesses."
The halfa finally puts two and two together, "You're that witch council lady who helped me and Sabrina out. Wow, she wasn't kidding when she said you're really good at finding people."
"Indeed, and please, call me Morgana. We've been watching you for quite some time Danny. Your heroic deeds in the past year have given you quite the reputation in the netherworld. Though I'm well aware you want to keep your "talents" a secret to the rest of the world. Don't worry, we witches know all about keeping our secrets from mortals, and yours is safe with me."
Danny breathes a sigh of relief, "I appreciate it. So, uh, with all due respect, why are you calling me?"
"The witch council and I have decided to have a word with you personally regarding the Pariah Dark situation. Your contribution in defeating the tyrant didn't go unnoticed and we want to thank you personally."
"Well…I didn't do it on my own, I did have help."
"We're well aware of the aid you got from Sabrina Spellman, we'll be sure to reward her for her efforts in due time, but right now this is about you. Are you willing to meet with us?"
Danny thinks about it for a moment, "Eh, it's not like I have anything better to do."
"Excellent, just step inside the portal and it will take you straight to our temple."
"Portal?"
As soon as the halfa says that, a portal begins to materialize in the middle of his bedroom.
"…Oh, that portal."
Moments later, Danny is now walking through the corridor of the witch council's base of operations. There are old portraits all over the walls, most likely of witches and warlocks of year's past. The halfa eventually comes across a large window, and out in the distance was a small town similar to Amity Park, but there is a lot of gothic architecture and is populated by mythical creatures he had no idea existed.
"Wow," Danny thought. "So this is the Netherworld? It actually looks more civilized and less disorienting than the Ghost Zone."
"Ah, there you are," says a male voice.
Danny looks away from the window and sees a young adult male, with brown hair and a maroon robe, standing in front of him.
The man introduces himself, "My name is Arthur, and I will be your guide. If you wish the see Lady Morgana and the rest of the witch council, then come with me."
The two finally make it to a large room where the witches are all lined up in a row of separate podiums.
"I see you've managed to come here with little trouble," says Morgana who is front in center.
Danny continues to look around in wonder, "To be honest, if it wasn't for your guide, I probably would have gotten lost. This place is HUGE."
The head councilwoman smiles in amusement, "If only you have seen this place BEFORE we remodeled it."
"So, you said you wanted to talk to me?"
"Of course, we wanted to discuss two things. The first being the investigation of the prime suspect who freed Pariah Dark in the first place."
This grabs Danny's attention, "You mean Vlad?"
Morgana nods, "I'm afraid I have some bad news on that front. We were unable to find any evidence pointing to Vlad Masters being the culprit. So unless he makes some sort of confession, we can't really accuse him of anything…I'm very sorry."
Danny lowers his head in disappointment, "He must have went back at some point after the battle to cover his tracks."
Morgana continues, "However, we will be keeping a close eye on him, and if he ever does something as catastrophic as that again, we will make sure it will be his last."
The halfa now smiles in reassurance, "And the other thing you wanted to talk to me about?"
"Like I said, we have had our eyes on you ever since you first came onto the scene. Here at the witch council, it is our job to prevent supernatural threats from reaching the mortal world, and for the past year, we have noticed ghosts have constantly been escaping their realm and have run amok in yours. However, every time we try to do something about it, you come along and put a stop to the threat before we do. You don't realize how much of a big help you are doing what you do. Because of you, we were able to focus on other matters and just let you handle the ghost problems. And that leads to where we are right now. When we heard about Pariah Dark being free, we were here struggling to figure out how to seal him away, hence why we took so long. But then we saw you and Sabrina oppose him. Watching the two of you motivated us to stop sitting around twiddling our thumbs and actually do something. Because of your heroic act, we felt it was only necessary to thank you. We are forever in your debt."
Danny scratches the back of his head and blushes, "Ah, it was nothing. The guy was threatening my town, so he needed to be put down."
Morgana once again nods, "Of course, just know that if a situation like that ever occurs again, we'll be in touch." She then waves her hand and in seconds, Danny's phone starts vibrating. The halfa takes out his mobile device and sees a text message with Morgana's name and number.
"Huh, I guess that's one way to get a lady's number," he quips.
"One more thing before we send you home," Morgana continues. "Because of your act of bravery, we are willing to grant you any favor you ask of us, whether big or small."
"That's okay, I'm just glad I could help," Danny replies. "I don't think I need any…" He then stops himself as an idea forms inside his head. He then smiles, "Actually…there is ONE favor I'd like to ask."
The next day, Danny, Sabrina and Salem are all standing in front of the Spellman household.
"Okay Danny, I'll bite, what is this "super, secret surprise"?" Sabrina asks.
"If I told you then it wouldn't be a surprise," says Danny.
The half-witch rolls her eyes, "Fine, but I still don't get why we're just standing around…here."
As soon as she says that, a taxi begins to pull up near them. The passenger door opens and a 40 something year old woman emerges from the vehicle. She had blonde hair that was in a pixie cut and blue eyes, wearing a pink blouse, brown khakis and white tennis shoes. Sabrina takes a good look at the woman and, not only does she looked shocked, but tears begin to form in her eyes.
"M…Mom?"
The woman sees the young witch and smiles, "Hi sweetie."
Sabrina runs towards the woman who is revealed to be her mother and the two embrace.
As Danny watches on with a smile on his face, Salem moves towards him with a surprised look, "You actually got the witch council to break the spell they put on Sabrina's mother?"
The halfa's face then falls, "Not really. They told me that the spell was made so that releasing it would be impossible, but they managed to do a work around. They said every year, on the month of Sabrina's birthday, the spell would be put on hold, and Sabrina can see her mom for at least one week. Of course, that part won't come into effect until next year and this is only a freebie. If only there was a way for the spell to be broken completely."
Salem shrugs, "You did the best you could. Besides, look at Sabrina. This is probably the happiest I've seen her in years. You're definitely going to be "Grade-A" boyfriend material after this. Say, uh, since you're all chummy with the witch council and was able to pull something like this off, you think you can get them to do the same thing for me? Like have me back to my human form for…I dunno…a month maybe?"
Danny smirks, "I think I'd be pushing my luck. I had to fight tooth and nail for this to happen."
The cat lowers his head in disappointment, "Well, it was worth a shot."
Suddenly, Sabrina walks toward Danny and Salem with her mother in tow. "Mom, I'd like you to meet Danny Fenton. He's one of the first real friends I made since I moved here and…he's also my boyfriend. Danny, this is my mother, Diana Spellman."
Danny and Diana both shake hands.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Danny," the woman says with a smile. "Sabrina told me about how you saved her life twice."
As the halfa shakes Diana's hand, he responds with, "Oh really? Did she tell you about the part where she became the savior of three different realms?"
Diana's eyes grew wide, "No, she hadn't told me about that."
Danny grins, "How about we go inside first and I'll tell you all about it."
Danny, Sabrina, Salem and Diana all walk inside the Spellman household to begin telling their story about how they thwarted an evil ghost king.
(A/N) Translated from Latin: "Malevolent king, so heartless and cruel, you've forced my hand now I'm ending your rule, this time when I lock you with the Skeleton Key, the sarcophagus will remain sealed and you will never be free."
With the Ghost King defeated and peace restored, our heroes can finally rest easy (for now...), and with Danny and Sabrina finally admitting their feelings for each other, what will the future hold for them? Find out in the chapters to come.
Be sure to leave a comment on the story so far, and now that I'm done with this arc I can finally turn my attention to writing the first chapter of "Spider-Man and Nightwing: Public Enemies". Be on the lookout for that when it eventually drops. Until next time...
