One shot, think of it as a deleted scene from the up coming movie.. possibly fluffy.

Stella smiled and nudged her husband as they watched their son and his friends get to know and interact with the people that had harboured them for so many years.

Arnold, Helga, Gerald and Phoebe were all seated around the fire in the centre of the village enjoying the celebrations and festivities put on to celebrate the return of their god and that of their sacred stone. The whole village was present and as on previous celebratory occasions couples were coming together.

Arnold was ecstatic he had finally found his parents and they were everything he'd dreamed of. He and his friends had been on the most fantastic adventure and he had begun to finally see Helga in a different light, yes ok she was sarcastic and cynical with a short temper but she was unfailingly loyal and giving. Watching her here in the village meeting and greeting people she couldn't scare with her words showed her softer side she was joining in with the other village girls and seemingly enjoying herself. Here in the firelight with her hair woven like a tribal girl but still wearing her bow she looked like the girl he'd always imagined her to be. Looking at the reveling villagers around him who were dancing and singing he saw many of the women wearing lotus type blossoms in their hair, without thinking too much of it he spied a pottery urn with individual stems in it and pulled a small but perfect bloom. Without saying anything he sat next to her and placed it behind her right ear and smiled as she blushed in the firelight.

About to get up and go and see where Gerald was she has grabbed his hand and offered him a small wooden figure that he'd seen the women and girls preparing earlier. "Don't get mushy on me now football head" Helga exclaimed with a slight scowl on her still red face. Arnold just smiled and went off to find his friend.

Stella watched on worrying her lip with her teeth she hissed at her husband "Miles I think we have a situation"

Looking up at his wife finally focusing on what she was looking at; their son and his little blonde friend he frowned "Oh dear, do you think we should tell them what they've just done?"

Watching Helga's face more carefully Stella sighed to herself at least she was a sweet girl perhaps a diamond in the rough. "No dear they're only ten let's worry about their engagement when they're a little older to understand and won't panic about it."

Miles nodded "Perhaps its for the best, hopefully noone else has seen but perhaps if we're staying it might pay to teach our son to be a little more careful in cultures he isn't familiar with." Smiling at Stella he pulled her close for a hug.
