Ah yes, there is one thing I forgot. The human race has not been eliminated. Travel north. Hope is such a splendid thing.

– Caleb Goldman, The House of the Dead 4

There is always this saying

When catastrophe strikes

That no one in the cities should be staying

And everyone would be leaving from cars to bikes

...

That was the case during the Great Panic

Thousands of American refugees heading into Canada, into the north

The RCMP was overwhelmed; the crowds were too gigantic

And the infected followed so on and so forth

...

For so it seemed, everyone thought the war would end by winter

They camped in the wilderness, cooking and singing as if it was a vacation

And they united against the undead, it seemed their community would never splinter

Even against what ever Mother Nature has to give, their camps would be the ideal location

...

However, as kind as Mother Nature is, she could be very cruel

By winter, most of the refugees have spent most of their supplies

And soon, animalistic tendencies of humanity's morals duel

Fighting, crimes, murders occurred in the camps, with no chance of blue skies

...

And soon, as winter and Christmas came

11 Million people lay dead in the white snow

It was as if Mother Nature's rage towards humanity flames

And those who survived went on and go

...

Only a few percent of those refugees survived to tell the tale

Ironically, the undead were the least of their worries in this winter jail
