Slight spoilers for Volcano and Power Play. I thought it was funny when Virgil dumped TB4 out of the module without stopping, it reminded me of Scott throwing the RAD out of TB1. :-D

"Tell me again, Brains. He did what?" Alan's eyes, already lit up, became even brighter.

"He th-threw us out of Thunderb-bird One," said Brains, glumly. Standing beside him, MAX also nodded.

Sitting in their respective seats around the ring, three Tracy brothers and a sister exchanged the same look. Their eldest brother leaned back with an air of nonchalance, draping his arms along the back of the sofa.

"Aw, Brains, knock it off. I said you'd be fine and you were."

"H-h-hindsight is a w-wonderful thing, Scott. You're a d-dangerous man."

"Thanks," the eldest Tracy said brightly.

"Yeahh," drawled Kayo, "not sure that was a compliment?"

"Ah c'mon, do you really think I would have done that if I thought for a second it wouldn't work? The RAD was built for that kinda thing."

"Then how come it was demolished by one rock?" asked Gordon.

"One giant rock travelling at a million miles an hour," said Alan, clapping his hands together and going, "Bbbbbsssshhhhhhh!"

"Yes, r-relatively th-the same speed at which we f-fell onto a huge p-pile of rocks," Brains went on, while MAX turned his beady eye on Scott.

"Look," said Scott decisively. "Put me in the next RAD and I'll be happy to launch myself out of Thunderbird Two from a thousand feet."

"Two?" said Virgil with a suspicious frown. "Don't you mean One?"

"You're kidding, right? I'm not letting anyone else fly One."

"What about me?" asked Kayo. "Not only would I fly One as well as you, I'd happily flip the switch and kick you out."

Scott flashed her a smug grin. "You wouldn't need to, Kayo. I'd be raring to go."

"All riiight!" cried Alan. ""Me too! I'll take a ride in the RAD any day!"

"Whoa, not so fast Al. Risking my own life is one thing..." Scott halted mid-sentence, trailing off with a mutter of defeat and a facepalm.

"Ah ha! You admitted it's d-dangerous!" Brains high fived MAX while the other brothers laughed and Kayo patted Scott's arm.

"Should've quit while you were ahead," she said with a sweet smile.

But Alan didn't forget easily.

And now, flying over the dam, mere feet above the narrow canyon and with Gordon sitting tight in Thunderbird Four wondering how they were going to get the pods out if they dropped the module, Alan came up with his masterplan.

Virgil's eyebrows lifted. "Are you serious?"

"Trust me," said Alan in a tone uncannily like Scott's. "He'll be fine!"

Virgil's look of surprise shifted to one of conspiratorial glee. "Better hold onto something," he told Gordon.

Thunderbird Two's capable pilot lowered the module, tipped it forward and opened the hatch. Moments later, Thunderbird Four slid out and careened across the water like a pebble on a pond, bouncing half a dozen times before plunging underwater, her aquanaut pilot whooping with delight.

"That was awesome!" declared Gordon. "But a little more warning next time, huh?"

Virgil laughed. "It was Alan's idea."

"Sorry, Gordo!" cried Alan, not looking one bit sorry.

As Thunderbird Two lifted up and away, Virgil said, "and we know exactly where he got it from, don't we?"
