Gintsu!firstdate
Dating was a foreign concept to both Gintoki and Tsukuyo.
Participating in the Joui war at the age of eighteen as one of the forefront fighters, didn't really allow the silver-haired samurai the luxury to date. Sure, he had had his fair share of visits to the red light district but he had no experience when it came to having romantic interactions with another human being.
In Tsukuyo case though, the situation was wildly different. Not once in her life, did the blonde ninja even think that she would date someone.
So it was only naturally, that when the two sat facing eachother in a café, the atmosphere was more than awkward.
"You want to order something?" Gintoki said, trying to make things a little less formal. It was his first date as well but the fact that Tsukuyo was behaving like a robotic version of a high school girl wasn't helping the situation. The blonde ninja hadn't spoken one sentence without stuttering and Gintoki was starting to wonder if she was having a seizure or something.
"S-sure." She responded.
Sitting infront of him on a date was like a dream come true but it also left her wondering what in the hell was going on and needless to say, her heart felt like it would jump out of her chest.
Tsukuyo had convinced herself years ago that they weren't meant to be so when Gintoki had come up to her door one day to give her a whole speech on how they should just stop wasting their time and be together, she was little more than surprised. Even more so when her 'suppressed' feelings for him came blooming out of her soul making her doubt her ability to control her emotions.
"I'll have parfait then, what about you?" Gintoki said, trying to keep their 'small talk' going. "Just so you know, they only have desserts here, or is that too girly for you." He teased her, hoping that it would help her open up.
Tsukuyo frowned at him, "Don't worry, eating sweet stuff won't straighten your stupid hair any time soon." The retort leaped out of her naturally, making her feel a little less stiff.
Gintoki sighed, "There you go. Try to keep that up please, it feels like I'm talking to a rock." The silver-haired samurai called out to a waiter to take their order.
Tsukuyo blushed slightly at his comment. She breathed a few time in order to calm herself. Looking down at her menu, Tsukuyo decided to stop being nervous around him. After all, this might be a date but he was still the same person.
